good morning from the UK... I agree the only part of the putting together of the sentro ,was putting those pad things on.. What i did was i used some coconut oil i had on a cotton bud as we call them, i put the oil around the the pad and on the plastic bit on the leg of the sentro and i used a flat edged tool to help push it on..Worked a treat .. i have the other make of circular knitting machines ,the Addi great machines.. I bought the sentro because it was two needles bigger than my 46 needle Addi.. When making hats like you, i dont tend to use waste yarn on either end ,as you can take the hat off the needles just using the sewing needles that you have with the machine ..There are tutorials showing how to do that !!!! There are so many things you can make with the circular knitting machines ,i watched so many tutorials lol.. i have made a number of cuddley toys of a dinosaur for my family ,that was on my Addi machines though..Mind ive seen so many other toy ones that can be made too..i will try them out at some point..Enjoy your new circular knitting machine ,it is soooo much fun ..
