Please, yes. Would you make a video about dropped stitches. I'm about to cry. I've gotten a good start on 5 socks, but when I get to 40 or 50 stitches, I wind up dropping a couple and having to start all over 😭 Please help. I've watched your 10 tips and it's been super helpful, but there's nothing about dropped stitches ❤️
@@VondaInWonderland I’ll do a longer version for you tomorrow but here’s a short for now. Fix a tucked/dropped stitch on a knitting machine # ruclips.net/user/shortsczchllsRr9Y?feature=share
I would like to see you do a flat item. I know they can be done but when I got my machine my granddaughter wanted it, so I gave it to her. She later decided she didn't want it and gave it back to me, minus the instructions, and some of the tools. I need to make a baby blanket, but I don't knit, and my hands hurt from crocheting. I know there is a way to make a flat item, I need to make a couple of them and connect them. lol I'm 69 and learning something new.
I'm watching this video now! I actually just unboxed my Sentro today and wow am I glad to hear that I'm not the only one that struggled to get those suction cups on. 😅
when casting off, i put my finger over the next stitch while removing the one before. it keeps the next stitch from coming off before you’re ready. i also use a large c clamp to hold the machine down so that it doesn’t move. i find that the suction cups are not sufficient enough. if the machine bounces around, it can cause dropped stitches. i also start and finish with waste yarn which makes it much easier to cast off. no worries about dropping a stitch.
I really liked your demo except, using a dark yarn, it was exceedingly hard to see how you were tying off the beanie. I'll have to see if you've made one with lighter colored yarn.
I have a 48 knitting machine and i used the wasted yarn then the working yarn and wasted yarn i knitted a tube and need to find out hoe to attach both ends together to make the tube thicker to sit a round basket in
Your videos are great and you teach very well!!! I don't know where I went wrong: the yarn isn't "go right", the stitches aren't right on the first needles. I've watched countless videos and I'm not successful. :-(
Just received my Sentr9 48 today, my cast on row keeps falling off. I’m doing it just like the video. Any suggestions. When I’m on second row, first row, bottom row falls off
Hey there, so just to confirm on the first row you are going in front then behind every pin first and then on the second row putting the working yarn in the yarn guide and knitting as usual?
Hi I am new here...practicing with my very first beanie..lol is this size for a toddler or can I make it for an 8-12month baby... I am using a Lion Brand baby soft yarn, and finally Sentro loves this yarn...Thanks!
Our machines love that yarn and the Caron Simply Soft too. For a baby, I use a 32 pin machine with 60 to 90 rows, but you could adjust to a bigger one if that's all you have. For toddler I'd go up to a 40/46 pin machine with 90-120 rows.
i just received my sento machine and this is very hard, the stitches keep dropping and I have to take it all apart, so frustrating. thought this would be easy. but it is not.
If your project is longer than the base, like a scarf, will you need to cast off then add another layer by knitting multiple pieces together, or can you let long pieces grow beyond the table top? Will you be able to reduce the circumference to make items like gloves? Or make partial finger gloves? (The kind I use at the computer when it's cold.)
You can actually make it as long as you want. You can either do the panel setting that doesn't connect or the tube setting which does. So far I prefer the tube setting for my projects but will be starting my sweater this week and will have to dive into the world of the panel.
Ahhhh i don't know what I am doing wrong , when I finish the casting row after that when the second row begins , my first one starts coming out .. tried 3 times plz help
Hmmm. I'd have to see what is actually happening to understand what you mean by the 2nd row stitches start coming out. I'm working on getting my live sessions up for December and I can answer some questions a little easier during those sessions.
Hey there, for yarn changes you don't need to knot it first. If you do knot it first, then just make sure the knot doesn't get stuck in the yarn guide before you knit it into the project.
in the beginning few rows, make sure that where the yarn below the hooked stitch drops down over the smaller yarn holder below the hooked stitch. go very slowly on the first three- four rows to make sure the yarn drops.
You are totally right! I recorded this so long ago and learned the hard way how hard it is to see the black. May be time to update this video with clearer visuals.
What do you want to see me make next with my knitting machine?

I finally worked out how to cast on, thank you, most other tutorials do not show close up.

You had me at "adhd hobby collector" 😄
Very nice I just bought one of these I am trying to learn how to use it
Let me know what questions you have. If I don’t have a video on it, I’ll make one or find a link to another maker who can help.
Please tell me where to order a Sentro from
Thank you …for changing the colour some times I just make a knot .

Oh thank you for that feedback. I didn't realize how hard the dark yarn was to see, I'll keep that in mind going forward for sure. 😀
Thank you!!! Excellent instruction!!
Glad it was helpful!😊
So to mine keep it from moving around my husband bought a cutting board and screwed it onto it. Works great
Awesome idea!
Great tutorials!! Thank you ❤ I'm just wondering how loud this machine is 🤔
All of them do make noise, like constant clicking noise but it isn't too loud for me.
I would like to know about drop stitches and how to work panels i just gotmy knitting machine
I love my Centro great Kniting machine
Can u show how to do panel also i just got mine .
I have a 48 knitting machine and i used the wasted yarn then the working yarn and wasted yarn i knitted a tube and need to find out hoe to attach both ends together to make the tube thicker to sit a round basket in

Why do my machine drops yarn
I also have ADHD) Love your video. Subscribed!)
Do you have used a Rayon yarn on the Sentro machine? I have some Truboo from Lion Brand
hard to see with the dark yarn..hahah but I am in the process of cinching it...great job and my first beanie..Thanks
Can you make socks with fingerling yarn?

I'm going to be doing some live knitting machine demo's throughout December on Friday's at 4PST which might be helpful.

Did you make the sweater that your wearing in this video
Next demo use light yarn. Black is very hard to see. Thank you for the demo.
Totally agree. I've been thinking about updating this video with better angles and yarn for sure.
What side of the machine is the handle is on?
It's on the right side.

I have a little 22 peg machine and mine drop😢s the cast on row. What Am I doing wrong?
Hi,
Can you share the paper which came with the machine as I don't have it. Thanks dear
Hey there, I no longer have it but you can go to this website and get all of them onlinel manuals.plus/sentro/knitting-machine-manual#axzz8CN8dVcvw

Those skeins of yarn that came with machine will knit up like butter! I’m the same way, Jump right in! Pumpkins are great!
Do I have to know how to crochet ?
You don't. There are similar techniques you will use, but totally not required to use a circular knitting machine.
It might be better to use light, yarn and zoom in so be,ginners
Can see exactly what you are doing

I really wanted to see the yarn change but your arm blocks it.Not sure where/how to feed the knot thru!

@@thecraftygrrl thank you
I can’t get 10 rounds without dropping stitches.
Really difficult to see what you are doing with hands blocking pins. And the black yarn doesn’t show stitch definition. Great info tho. Thank you.
Did you knit the sweater you are wearing? It is very pretty.
I didn't but I def want to make a version of it for this upcoming winter. It's my fav!
I m a new user tel me the machine thé good one 40 or 48 please excuse my english am french women I wait for your answer tank you
It depends on what you want to make with them. I like the 48 because I make clothing items but the 40 is great for beanies, scarves, etc.
My machine drops stitches on the third row everytime. Do you know why?
I keep dropping stitches, too. I'm getting to 40 or 50 then 😭
in the beginning few rows, make sure that where the yarn below the hooked stitch drops down over the smaller yarn holder below the hooked stitch. go very slowly on the first three- four rows to make sure the yarn drops.

MAYVBE USE A DIFFERENT COLOUR , BLACK IS SO HARD TO SEE

All talk, no action!
It’s $63 now😂
Oh no! Keep checking they probably raised the price for the holiday but it does go up and down.
Save your money it’s not user friendly. What do you expect for $60 bucks. 🤢
