Maybe an interesting challenge could be how many half empty skeins can you use up in one day. Or put beanie, scrunchie, top, bandana, bucket hat, bag, granny square, and anything else you like to make on slips of paper, put them all in a hat, and spend a day randomly picking and making things.
I love this series! Don't overwork your hands. Rest, stretch, exercise and moisturize. From an old lady who has crocheted since she was 15. 😂❤

I’m struggling with hand pain cause I don’t take breaks. It’s shooting to my elbows and my fingers burn. What kind of exercises do you recommend?
@@rosegilliland220 hand and arm stretches for a solid 5 mins before you start crocheting everyday, and taking 5-10 mins breaks every once in a while whilst working on your project. I started doing the stretches, and my wrist and arm doesn't hurt anymore; breaks are def essential as well.
@@rororinmochikoko3338 I’ll try this every morning. Thankyou. I hope it works. Knitting/crochet is everything to me and is so calming. But I don’t want to loose this hobby like my grandma. Her hands are crippled. She can’t knit or crochet anymore.

Sorry not answering sooner. Yes, stretching is good. I also do hand flexes down, hold for 30 seconds, hand stretches up for 30 seconds and massage the ligament at the elbow. If it gets too sore, rest your hands. My doctor told me to exercise or do something different once an hour for a few minutes. I used to switch back and forth between crocheting and knitting. Different movements, you see. He said that if you do these things, you can crochet indefinitely, but for not too many hours a day. He said 6 hours was too much.
I've been knitting for over 50 years and I can't do one hat a day. It takes me 2 days to do one of your hats. That being said, you knit the continental way and I do what's called parlor knitting. So I guess my way is slower. Also I do 54 stitches instead of 56 like you do because I knit loose. I do enjoy watching your blogs.
i have heard that continental knitting is more suitable for people who already know how to crochet (i have no clue how to knit) im not sure if its faster though but that could be why, maybe shes more used to the hold and techniques from crocheting

Here's a suggestion for next time you're wondering if you can knit an 11 inch beanie with the partial skeins - weigh a fold over beanie with your postal scale (using grams is the most accurate) and then weigh the yarn you have left. I do that all the time when I want to knit a hat and only have some partial skeins. Sometimes the weights are slightly off, but it helps a lot compared to just guessing. I hate running out of yarn, and I also hate having a bunch of yarn left over when I could have made the hat longer !
We think alike. I do exactly the same (weigh completed items and partial skeins, using grams). No more yarn chicken!
Yes! I weight my yarn all the time to figure out if I have enough for a project, and even mid project to see if I have enough for a row!
Your boyfriend seems like such a gem, having a goofy man makes life so much more fun in my personal opinion lol

To be totally fair, my friends in Montreal and Toronto suddenly got snow again recently, which they were not expecting since its almost May. Also, I live on the west coast, straight up actually ON the coast, and it's really windy all the time. Beanies are nice pretty much always to keep your ears warm, and its usually like 65°F here lol. So just make whatever you want. Someone will want it or need it at some point.
Just so you know….. you inspired me to open my shop. I watch every single clog you make. You are amazing.

For all the leftover yarn, you could make them ear warmers with the sentro. I get the season doesn’t match but you never know someone might still want them or you can save them for winter inventory.

I have so many skeins of “party” yarn. They were on sale and I hadn’t seen them before and was like oooh pretty so I bought like 20 with no plans for them and this video has cemented what I’m doing with at least several of them. Love the videos by the way! Your sims story was so funny. I loved that game when I was younger, it’s fairly addictive playing god lol

I love the party yarn. Ive bought so much of it recently. Im currently finishing up a hooded hexi cardi with it in confetti. . And i have a whole other cardi already planned with another colorway in the party yarn.
But absolutely yesss the texture of that compared to other acrylics like red heart is mind boggling and so different. But thats why i looove working with it. 😁

I had a lot of the little yarn balls, so I started making beanies. I have quite a few beanies now in all colors. Now I want to see how many I can make until winter. I hand them out in winter, but I've never had this many lol

FYI I don’t know if it’s really your thing, but when I have smaller skeins or leftovers too small for a hat, sometimes I make them into the “knot” headband/earwarmer things. Just throwing out an idea/suggestion! 😊
