Video idea: you get all your cotton partial skeins together and you do a two part video series of “how many bucket hats/bandanas can I make using my yarn scraps” and just use up as many partials that can be incorporated into larger projects.”
All your smaller scraps that’s too much to cut up but not enough to make a big impact on a project… make a “rainbow stripe” bucket hat. You can get a bunch of colors that compliment each other, all pastels for example, and stripe them into a rainbow hat. A lot of work weaving in the ends, but they’d be used up and in a pretty cute hat.
I'm down for a 'how many things can I make with ONLY scrap yarn' challenge! Also, check your local library and senior center for donating yarns. They'll usually take them!
For the tops that were returned, I think you could advertise them as returns and sell them at a discounted rate if you don’t want to frog them. I’m sure someone would be interested in them if given the opportunity, and you still get some money for the work you put in. Just a thought
This is what I was thinking. Selling at a reduced price and just letting the customer know it was a return/exchange and let them decide if that’s something they are comfortable with. I mean it’s basically the same concept purchasing a thrifted item. 🤷🏻♀️
I think a bucket hat made with all the scraps would be fun. Just use one scrap until it ends and then add on another one. It will be random, fun and satisfying because you're eliminating all the scraps!
I agree! When I come across yarn at the thrift store I’m always at least checking it out. At least at my local one they usually group the yarn together and sell it as like a grab bag. There may also be a second hand craft place to bring it to as well, but at least at the thrift store you could donate leftover yarn, as well as any already made items.
Take the smaller bits with some black cotton, put them together in a scrap rug or doggy mat to put on the couch for doggy to lie on!! It will even be machine washable!
You should make a scrap yarn cardigan! You just use all the random colors and tie the knots on the outside, leaving the tails hanging out; I know it sounds funky but they look really cool!
I see all kinds of potential with your first bin, all kinds of bandannas and stripes. That can be a goal finish one whole bucket. With the squares, I’d make a bag or bags. Hope you’re having a good evening.❤
If there are small bits of skeins that you genuinely think you won’t use, you could always do a giveaway/raffle of a few little goodie bags with a few mixed bits in each bag and send them off to your followers and see what they can make with it and post it and tag you. People could even vote on who best used the sCRAP (as I call it lol) you sent them. Or sending it away alone could at least be a way to engage followers while also clearing up space in your room. Honestly you can obvi do what you want but it was just an idea I wanted to share!
Goodwill for stuff you are not going to use. Pull out a garbage bag and dump guilt-free. Love the two color bucket hat idea for the cotton yarn. Kelsie, you are inspiring myself and others to clear out the clutter.
You can also try your local nursing homes or assisted-living facilities of their crafting areas could well use your scrap yarn little balls. Whatever have you I know for a fact that they do share with the women residence that can crochet and they just maybe they just do a simple granny square, it’s something they can do and it keeps their interest and it makes their days go faster. Love this video love seeing the beginning of your RUclips life. It was great.
I agree: a video of using scraps would be interesting. Also, make granny squares. You said that you sell bags easily, and granny squares and bags go together. You have enough yarn there for at least five bags. 😊❤
I gift a lot of scrap yarns to the local knitting group that teaches at the library once a week. I've also sent old needles, hooks, misc accessories. People are super excited to learn and then get to take some yarn and a hook home to keep practicing.
I enjoyed looking at the projects from your earlier days. It gives me motivation to keep going on a project that I’ve made a mistake. And it’s ok to go back and try again.
That was fun! Really enjoyed seeing your old designs and to compare how much you have improved over time! Totally agree with all the comments about doing a vlog/series of using up your scraps!
Great video! I love the idea of doing a video to use up all your findings! Maybe you could make a scrappy cotton granny square bag or other granny square project. Then it won’t matter if sue lots match up.
Scrap bags or tops would be really cute. You could sell the returns on your site for cheaper with a disclaimer that they were returns. I’ve bought clothes that way and was very happy with my purchase.
Hi Kelsie, yeah a bin video, sweet. You can make multi color market bags with the scraps. Great assortment. Can’t wait to see what you make. 🥰 You could bundle it all up into a big mailer bag and put on your website for sale, Box of stuff from Bin video… $30 bucks.. heck I’m such a dork, I’d buy it. I love finishing projects and balling u scrap yarn. 🤓
I'm just home from work, & am so tired, but it's very uplifting to see a new (1 minute old) video from you! Even better if it motivates me to deal with my yarn haystack later on! 🥰 Best wishes from Czechia xxx
I started watching while making lunch and the 3 year old I'm baby sitting has now gotten very invested in your videos because " Her got same colors like you Miss Wee ! " LOL we have been using my yarn and projects to work on counting and colors this summer.😂😂❤❤
I visited my Grandma today and she recently learned that I got back into crochet and therefore she gave me her whole stash of wool she still had there are so many random tiny yarn balls and also unused skeins and I honestly love it it feels like each piece of wool I pull out of the bag tells a story
Love this video, we all have stuff hidden in drawers or bins or bags. Make scrap tops ir bucket hats out if the cotton, and use the granny squares for a purse or two and a cross body bag. ❤
i would make scrap yarn bucket hats! either alternating colors each row for a more neat look, or just alternating whenever you run out of your color for an extra scrappy bucket hat!
I saw people joining scraps with invisible knots and making a giant scrappy ball out of it. I cannot wait to have enough scraps to do that. Live my dreams please lol
Scrap projects are my favourite! When I was seeing the brown & yellow cotton, I kept visualizing a bucket hat with a sunflower on top! Thanks for sharing your hidden stash with us……it’s always fun seeing another person’s yarn stash!
Would love to see some of your early creations reworked into a new pattern❤. Make thise old ideas into something new! A lot of them have so much potential to be so cute!!
I love the black halter and pink top that laces up the front. I would 100% buy the patterns for them. I'm crocheting 2 colour market bags also, they look pretty. Thank you for another brilliant vlog
Tie the scraps together and then wind them into cakes and make scrappy projects 😊 they always end up looking cool and some ppl love scrappy items more than planned color changes! Could be a new market for you ❤
I loved all of this! I’m a sucker for decluttering/organizing videos and I wish I could come help you finish up the last of it 🥰 it was also sooo reassuring to see all the progress projects!
I picked up crochet again this week for the first time in like two years (thank you for the inspiration!). I've made two of these same market bags and I'm like halfway through a third already. I need to stop. But my next project is a patchwork granny square cardigan! I'm going to mix a bunch of different squares styles with a palette of buttercup yellow, a soft sage green, bright white, and a like... milk chocolate sort of brown? Very cottagecore. I'm so excited. >w
Just saw this video and the bin that has all the tops is awesome! If you tweaked those patterns at all (like change to cotton, etc) and wrote them out I'll bet you would sell them. I know I'd be interested in some of them because I thought they were really cute!
It is so satisfying to see what is in your boxes and the way you show and explain them is just perfect! Thanks and again greetings from Bavaria, Germany ❤
Hello dear viewer from India I am watching your video like your yarn collection dear....we are not getting the yarn like your side...stay healthy and passionate
When i clean out a yarn stash, i prepare a bag for donation. A bag for discard/stuffing. And numerous bags so i sort by color and type(cotton acrylic, etc.). I may throw all but the donate back in the same bin, again, but i feel like i accomplished something.😊
Looooooved seeing where you started from. And seeing your old projects. Gives me so much motivation 🫶 also. I’m sure you could sell those returns. Even even you break even with yarn costs!
I have never been able to make crispy dill pickles and have given up. This method has me thinking I should give it a try. Can't wait to see how yours turned out after 3 weeks.
I'm not sure how plausible this is, but a scrap yarn peek-a-boob would be very cool! If done in semi-matching colors I think it could look really cute. It does sound pretty difficult though lol
That red, white, and blue top is actually a good idea, but I think with your current repertoire and knowledge/yarn practice, I think you could definitely remake that and it would be cute! And with the 4th coming up in less than a month, maybe you should stock up for the girls :)
Video idea: you get all your cotton partial skeins together and you do a two part video series of “how many bucket hats/bandanas can I make using my yarn scraps” and just use up as many partials that can be incorporated into larger projects.”

I was thinking a scrappy bucket hat for some of the smaller partials too
How many scrappy octopus! 🐙
Wind them up into a cake n make the start of a scrap afghan
i was also thinking scrappy bucket hats!
You should definitely do a "using up my scraps" series!
seconding this!
Yes please! This would be so nice 😍
EXACTLY what I was going to say !! :-)
This! Its so satisfying to watch, while I ignore my own scraps pile 😂
Yesss❤
I'm down for a 'how many things can I make with ONLY scrap yarn' challenge! Also, check your local library and senior center for donating yarns. They'll usually take them!
The pink granny squares would be a great tote and the leftovers would be sooo cute as those crossbody bags!!
I would be HERE FOR a "remaking my old designs" series where you reimagine the old tops and improve on them.
early works can be a great source of inspiration :)
a 41 minute video? we have been blessed 🥰
Exactly my tought 🤣 i got so excited hahaha
Let's make a petition so the vlogs are at least 40 minutes long. If she doesn't comply, she'll have to give up the 5.5mm hooks 🤭
I came to say the same thing 😅❤
@@_Maressa_I like that! Edit: but maybe not all of them tho bc sometimes it can be hard to do that but more of them I understand 😊
Ikr? As a crafter, the longer the video the better!
For the tops that were returned, I think you could advertise them as returns and sell them at a discounted rate if you don’t want to frog them. I’m sure someone would be interested in them if given the opportunity, and you still get some money for the work you put in. Just a thought

Honestly, I'm so impressed at how well you recognize what color name the yarn is just by looking.
lol! Thank you
A scrap yarn market bag would probably be cute 🤷🏻♀️ 😊
That brown, with cornflower would make a BEAUTIFUL bucket hat
YES ONE OF MY FAV COLOR COMBINATION!!
🎵This is beginning to look a lot like a new 'how many granny stitch bucket hats in a day video'🎵 and I love it!
“you see the vision” is my favorite craft phrase like it just hits right
I think a bucket hat made with all the scraps would be fun. Just use one scrap until it ends and then add on another one. It will be random, fun and satisfying because you're eliminating all the scraps!
And can call it an eco bucket hat
That's what I was trying to say... b/c those turn out very interesting 🤔
An idea for you! You can donate the yarn you don't want too. I have found a lot of great yarn at thrift stores and it will be found and loved.
You could donate it when you're out posting your orders so you don't have to go out only for that.
I agree! When I come across yarn at the thrift store I’m always at least checking it out. At least at my local one they usually group the yarn together and sell it as like a grab bag. There may also be a second hand craft place to bring it to as well, but at least at the thrift store you could donate leftover yarn, as well as any already made items.
She could also donate the tops!
Take the smaller bits with some black cotton, put them together in a scrap rug or doggy mat to put on the couch for doggy to lie on!! It will even be machine washable!
A scrap market bag with all of those scrap colors a little bit of this and some of that would be amazing 😊
Hope you’re having a good evening.❤
i know my Oma's senior living home has yarn for them to play with! even if they don't knit or crochet anymore, they still find joy in yarn
I'm crying laughing at the (first) knit beanie. Thanks for that. 😂
If there are small bits of skeins that you genuinely think you won’t use, you could always do a giveaway/raffle of a few little goodie bags with a few mixed bits in each bag and send them off to your followers and see what they can make with it and post it and tag you. You’ve come a LONG way, baby! All the not so good stuff lead to where you are now. So not a waste.
Goodwill for stuff you are not going to use. Pull out a garbage bag and dump guilt-free. Love the two color bucket hat idea for the cotton yarn. Kelsie, you are inspiring myself and others to clear out the clutter.
We need a scrappy top/bandana/bucket hat video! For the longer remnants that are "too much" yet "not enough"!
You could make a magic yarn ball out of all the little peaces and crochet Something with it
brown and cornflower blue go together so well in a bandana or a bucket hat!
You should bring the returns to a thrift store.❤ love your videos
Absolutely would love a “redoing your own designs” video. Especially the off the shoulder ruffle top that would be adorable when done well!!
Me 👉🏻 🎉 💃🏼 🎉 👈🏻 CELEBRATING that I just WATCHED 🤓 4️⃣1️⃣ minutes [and] 0️⃣3️⃣ SECONDS of my favorite #crochet #vlogger #passionknit Kelsie
You can also try your local nursing homes or assisted-living facilities of their crafting areas could well use your scrap yarn little balls. Best thing about my birthday falling on a Wednesday is a get a new passioknit vlog😂😂
Happy birthday girl!! Today is actually my half birthday lol 🎉
happy bday!!
Happy birthday!!
And it’s over 40 minutes long!! Happy birthday!
Happy birthday 🎉
I'd love to see a lot of bucket heads. I'm sure the smal color difference is not bothering ❤
If you put a hair tie in the middle of the donut and then sew it up, you’ve got a donut scrunchie!
I gift a lot of scrap yarns to the local knitting group that teaches at the library once a week. I've also sent old needles, hooks, misc accessories. People are super excited to learn and then get to take some yarn and a hook home to keep practicing.

I use every cotton scrap i have and make magic ball dishcloths for myself.
Great video! I love the idea of doing a video to use up all your findings! Maybe you could make a scrappy cotton granny square bag or other granny square project. Then it won’t matter if sue lots match up.
GUYS THE QUENN POSTED! I just saw the comment on that video and I know they are happy to see this video.
Hi, you could use the cotton scraps for washcloths, face scrubbers, and dishcloths. Multiple-colors would be fun!
Love the bucket hat idea for the leftover yarns.
I believe that you can donate yarn to senior centers. You might check in your area for that.
Scrap bags or tops would be really cute.
You could sell the returns on your site for cheaper with a disclaimer that they were returns. I’ve bought clothes that way and was very happy with my purchase.

You could do a scrap bucket hat or bandana. Maybe think about reworking your wrap a round top, after all you have way more experience now.
I started watching while making lunch and the 3 year old I'm baby sitting has now gotten very invested in your videos because " Her got same colors like you Miss Wee ! " LOL we have been using my yarn and projects to work on counting and colors this summer.😂😂❤❤
You've got bucket hats on the brain. When will I hear you say "This could make a bandana, right?" XDD
i had a very bad day until kelsie posted another passioKnit vlog💕
With all those that have different dye lots and small amounts, you can make a scrappy market bag
I love organising vids and I love Kelsie Vids. BEST DAY EVER!!!
I visited my Grandma today and she recently learned that I got back into crochet and therefore she gave me her whole stash of wool she still had there are so many random tiny yarn balls and also unused skeins and I honestly love it it feels like each piece of wool I pull out of the bag tells a story
As someone who is a big fan of you and your work, it's really cool and inspiring to see your old tops 💜
My wife loves ur videos soo much that she whants 3 new videos a day!!!
Makes me smile to see your first attempts. You have come along ways!!!
Ngl this is going to be the best part of my day today. Yay to whoever suggested this.
I saw people joining scraps with invisible knots and making a giant scrappy ball out of it. I cannot wait to have enough scraps to do that. Live my dreams please lol
Why not some scrap yarn bucket hats….
scrappy bucket hats! with lots of color changes and variation
Scrap projects are my favourite! When I was seeing the brown & yellow cotton, I kept visualizing a bucket hat with a sunflower on top! Thanks for sharing your hidden stash with us……it’s always fun seeing another person’s yarn stash!
41 minutes?? You‘re blessing us ❤
I think you could donate the old tops rather than frog or throw away! I can definitely see someone being happy to find those at the thrift!
Would love to see some of your early creations reworked into a new pattern❤. Make thise old ideas into something new! A lot of them have so much potential to be so cute!!
Today has been such a shit day then I realized it's Wednesday and the most passionate of Kelsies has a new video out. Yaaaaaaaaay
❤️❤️
"When you catch the smallest fish in the group" took. Me. Out. 😂😂😂
I like the light green top with red flowers. Not ugly in my opinion. Also think the top with baby yarn isn't ugly.
you can use the granny square to make a pillow cover or something for your home.
I love the black halter and pink top that laces up the front. I would 100% buy the patterns for them. I'm crocheting 2 colour market bags also, they look pretty. Thank you for another brilliant vlog
I'd love to see another of your scrappy yarn projects with the scraps from these crates.
Yeeeeey! It's 6pm in Germany and on your usual upload days I'm waiting all day for your newest video ❤️
I would love a scrap yarn series. You could make bucket hats, scarfs and granny squares
ngl this makes me feel better about all of my unfinished /abandoned projects.
You can definitely use some of those scraps for Bandana borders and straps.
i vote to redesign the black top with the lace up sides!!!!
The amount of hope you have given me! Even you went through the "what was this supposed to be?" stage.
So fun, you reminiscing with us!! Loved it! ❤
Tie the scraps together and then wind them into cakes and make scrappy projects 😊 they always end up looking cool and some ppl love scrappy items more than planned color changes! Could be a new market for you ❤

So cool to see your ideas and humble beginnings
For all your little cotton bits you could mystery bandanas.
Just saw this video and the bin that has all the tops is awesome! If you tweaked those patterns at all (like change to cotton, etc) and wrote them out I'll bet you would sell them. I know I'd be interested in some of them because I thought they were really cute!
Ohh ohh! That is an open top beanie! For when it’s not too cold. 😂
I’ve been using my scraps for bucket hats. They turn out pretty fun with the variety of colors.
Ohh a long video ❤❤❤. Your vlogs are so interesting for me and fun because I also like to crochet and I'm currently crocheting a jellyfish 😅❤❤
You should use all the pink granny squares for the pink video, I think you should make a pink cardigan with them! Love your videos!
You are the best creater ever!!!!!
Ps I love your how many in a day vídeo and all the others!!!!
It is so satisfying to see what is in your boxes and the way you show and explain them is just perfect! Thanks and again greetings from Bavaria, Germany ❤

'I dont think I've seen that before' as she pulls out granny squares she's made 😂 love it! Sounds like something I would do
You can make a scrappy market bag and the bigger ones bandanas
