I don't agree about Galactus being a villain. He is portrayed as amoral. He doesn't destroy planets out of malice. He does it to survive. I quit reading comics as a teen in 80s, but unless Marvel really screwed the character over, it was explained during the Trial of Reed Richards during Johns Byrnes run as Writer/Artist. Eternity was summoned to explain the cosmic truth of Galactus. Yes, I was a huge comic nut as a kid. I would also disagree about Thanos. Without the Infinity Gauntlet, he is a run of the mill cosmic character. It wouldn't surprise me if Gladiator from the Imperial Guard could solo him. A character that doesn't get mentioned, but was crazy powerful is the Beyonder. He was more child like than a villain. He was who caused the original Secret Wars mini series where Spidey got the black suit. In the last couple yrs I picked up a sub to Marvel Unlimited, and went back to read some old comics. I was reading some FF from after I left comics, and they ended up retconning the Beyonder to being a Cosmic Cube that needed to evolve. IMO that mid 80s era was when Marvel went downhill. Jim Shooter run company into ground, sending all the talent to DC.
He isn't confirmed to be a villain just a force of nature that literally needs to eat worlds or a extremely powerful cosmic entity is awoken if he dies.
It wouldn't surprise me if Gladiator from the Imperial Guard could solo him. --- boundingintocomics.com/files/2018/03/Gladiator-vs-Thanos1-e1520267568829.jpg
@Billionaire# Vision Exactly smdh!! Thanos is one of the most intelligent, cunning and powerful beings in the Marvel Universe(not counting abstract beings etc).Thanos in his base power level has beaten Thor and The Thing easily(and that was in the 80's.Thanos has also beaten Silver Surfer in every fight they had and loboimized another herald of Galactus in his base level.
NO you fucking POGGER. Its pronounced Darkseid like if you had an irish accent. Say Dark, like anyone would, then pronounce seid like you were saying Said (he said she said). HUGE FUCKING DIFFERENCE. Just joking mate.
There are like hundreds of more villains guys chill out. We are talking about the more known villains not the fucking ones you losers read in what if stories.
How is the Anti-Monitor not higher on the list? the dude literally caused the death and destruction of an infinite number of universes, and it took the heroes and villains of like 3-5 universes including 3 versions of Superman to defeat him, I can understand Thawn with time travel can be more dangerous, but Anti-Monitor definitely more overpowered than Annilhus, Apocalypse, & Amazo
i think it is a ranking otherwise why make it a countdown, and if it's not in particular order typically they mention that at the beginning of the video
Mazen El-Araissi I'm backing you up on that one. I don't think it gets bigger than the AntiMonitor or Galactus... also annoying they only ever mention Marvel & DC for a general "in comics" video
Nekron. Nekron is far worse than the Anti-Monitor or Galactus. He made the Black Lantern Central Power Battery *out of the Anti-Monitor,* and then proceeded to make the Black Lantern Corps, and caused the Blackest Night.
Darkseid(Dark-Side)-A phenomenally powerful villain obsessed with the anti-life equation and creating trouble for the DC Universe Dark Seed-A dark seed
Hell's bells, that's the *first* thing Uatu told the FF about him during the original Galactus Trilogy: He's neither good nor evil. He's *beyond* good and evil.
The creator confirmed it was darkside, no game, animated movie, or anything else I've ever heard his name spoken aloud in has EVER said darkseed so where in the hell does the insistence on saying it like that come from?
ya only this guy has missed pronounced this characters name, and not in a movie. Whereas in Batman Begins, they've missed pronounced Ra's al Ghul's name.
Marquis of Death is by far the most OP villain. He destroyed multiple entire dimensions because he felt like killing people and hardly broke a sweat. The only way they were able to stop him was by going back to before he turned evil and helping him
This list should be called "10 Most Iconic Overowerd Villains" bc most on this list dnt even come close to the ACTUAL most OP villains. The Anti-Monitor comes closest and he's not even #1! Darkseide w/ the Soul Fire, Thanos w/ the heart of the universe are op but neither of those instances are mentioned. SO!.... not one to just bitch and not back it up here is a list of 10 villains that would wreck every one of the characters on your list. : 10 - Akhenaten - He was empowerd by The Heart of The Universe. He could create any effect he could think of and he had absolute control over space and time. 9 - Mad Jim Jaspers - He has nigh-omnipotent reality warping powers who took the destruction of the entire reality to stop him. 8 - Sise-Neg - A time-traveling 31st century sorcerer who absorbed all the magical energy in the Marvel Universe during his quest to become capital "G" God. 7 - Imperiex Prime - He literally has the power of the big bang contained within him which he uses for destroying and recreating entire universes. 6 - The Marquis of Death - He traveled across the Multiverse wiping out every single universe he came into contact with. 5 - The Beyonders - A mysterious omnipotent race from another plane of existence, for whom the Marvel multiverse is simply a lab for them to conduct experiments upon. The Beyonder, Molecule Man, and Cosmic Cubes just channel their power. 4 - Protégé - a potentially omnipotent being who almost became the new "One Above All" only defeated by Scathan the Approver AND the Living Tribunal 3 - Mandrakk the Dark Monitor - was strong enough to defeat The Spectre and The Radiant together and he was shown to have the combined power of 52 universes (the multiverse in final crisis), and was bigger than the multiverse. 2 - The First Firmament - was the very first universe, the First Cosmos, to ever exist. 1 - Empty Hand - "The real big bad guy at the end - he looks like the Ultra Comics character, but he's also the reader. The empty hand of the reader when he puts the comic down and everything ends. But like the bad guy, he can also come back in full force and say, "You'll meet me again."- Grant Morrison on the Empty Hand. Nuff said. And those are just characters who are definitively "villains"! Other embodiments and aspects of death and oblivion, the endless, higher dimensional beings, Yin&Yang from the amalgam universe, and the retcon punching Super Boy Prime Time Trapper that are definitely antagonists but not 100% "villains" per say. Step up your research game whatculture! Ur list is borderline buzzfeed/watchmojo! {Full disclosure, some of the wording is copied from wiki's but the list is all me. They just got good words hahahaha}
Cosmic entities are tough to classify as "villains". You may or may not agree with that but as I said there is an argument to be made. + He cannot exist in this universe. In order to properly interact with the living, Nekron requires a link between between New Earth and the Land of the Unliving, such as a tear in space-time, or a mortal link such as Black Hand. Most of the other Death/Oblivion aspects/embodyments don't share that restriction so even if he was counted he would sit well below the rest of those.
One of my favorite scientists is Albert Eensteen Also: Cyborg Superman, Krona, Superboy Prime, Shuma-Gorath, Yuga Khan (Darkseid's father), The Goddess (Infinity Crusade), Onslaught, The Beyonder, Molecule Man, Magneto, Graviton, Ultron (Annihilation: Conquest), Vulcan (Gabriel Summers), Lord Mar-vell/Many-Angled Ones (Thanos Imperative), Mephisto, Larfleeze... Doomsday shouldn't even be on this list. There are plenty of characters that could erase him from existence.
Helios black Eh, he's not so bad. He just has issues. If he were to really go full on villain, few could hope to stop him. Galactus himself is wary of him. I mean, he gave Miles his family back for a week old burger. That's right decent of him.
I stopped reading comics as a teen sometime in the 1990's. It amazes me how overblown it all became in the 2000's - this messing with the created reality is really tedious. Character evolution with different writers from younger generations is one thing, turning Thor into a woman is just silly.
someone has been watching robot chicken. although i've been told that reverse flash is not fast, he just manipulates time to make him look like he's fast
Hate to be this guy, but that is Wally West's Reverse Flash (Zoom) Not Barry Allens Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne) But Reverse Flash is completely justified in this list, he has the powers of Flash, but not the restraints. He is literally a villain who messes with the fabric of time, just to annoy the man he hates
Jaeus A true BUT... ReverseFlash is manically demented and sadomasochistic looney that’s why is the best most horrifying 👺 villain... and Barry is opposite he’s a good old boy 😉
Isn't properly a villain, but has assumed such role many times. If Galactus is in this list she should be as well, they're both cosmic entities who can do some positive things here and there.
Good video but no Superboy Prime? I mean he shattered reality with a punch. That is about as overpowered as you get. Also The Anti-Monitor should be number 1.
This. When he got his hands on the Cosmic Cube he was literally no different than Thanos with the infinity gauntlet. Not only that but Doom has been the main driving force behind a lot of fucked up shit. Such as the murder of Magneto's daughter, which caused Ultimatum. He may not be the strongest in terms of strength but as far as intellect goes he's one of the deadliest and sneakiest villains ever created.
I do not think reverse flash is god. Just he made himself into a paradox therefore all copy of him cannot be eliminated. IN Doomdays clock Doctor Manhattan vaporize him for entering him space.
Uhhh... If I recall, the X-Force assault on Apocalypse as a kid didn't involve them 'terminating him with extreme prejudice'. They had a short falling out because half the team didn't want to kill him (he's just a kid at this point, after all), then all of the team agreed before Fantomex just outright shoots him while they're distracted. Even DEADPOOL didn't want to kill him.
Darkseid was mentioned in the Justice League movie in 2017 by Steppenwolf, he mentioned Darkseid and pronounced it as "Darkside", just so you know how to pronounce it in the future haha
There's 5+ animated features from DC in which Darkseid appears, and they say his name several times. It's common knowledge among fans, and even casual DC readers/watchers that his name is pronounced "Dark-Side".
As a someone who grew up watching comics, I wish people stoo putting Thanos into these kinds of lists. And justifying it because of Infinity Gauntlet which a bun off the streets could make this list if he had the gauntlet.
Putting this in because i didnt see anyone mention it. Not mentioning Darkseid except for this sentence because it seems to be THOROUGHLY taken care of. Thawn was not responsible for new 52 reboot, Flash was. Flash went back in time to save his mom and screwed up the timeline(Flashpoint, and for those that dont know, yes the same reason it happened in the show). He then, eventually, went back and stopped himself from saving her. When he returned to the present, he could see 3 different timelines, 1 was Flashpoint, and 2 others that were very similar to each other. He picked one of those two at random because he could not slow down to study them. Also, DC is now saying that SOMEONE (dramatic music) deliberately made the changes that made up the new 52 universe, meaning that when Flash fixed history, he should have only seen 2 timelines, instead of the 3 that he saw.
His commentary on Thanos is lacking knowledge. Thanos has many feats w/o the infinity gauntlet with his own power that put him above Apocalypse and Annihilus . He should of said no particular order on power or influence in respect universe's.
I have an ultimate villain for Superhumans who’s OP AF. His ability is to take all the abilities of whatever living being he kills, and give abilities to others, in part or in whole. He’s lived for over a million years, and has accumulated enough power to become godlike, even with an ultimate attack that can destroy planets. He is the most powerful being in the franchise as of when I write this comment, and reigns over an empire that occupies countless worlds across the universe. And if he succeeds in conquering/destroying Earth, he’s set to overtake the rest of the universe-if not more.
He did...it did not work out so well for ol brainiac. Doomsday slowly gained consciousness and it was too much for brainiac to handle. How brainiac could even come close to possessing a being like doomsday is beyond me
SmashLiXs Darkseid got an alt-universe Infinity Gauntlet and it didn't work outside it's native reality so he couldn't use it. The gauntlet Thanos used DOES work outside it's native reality however.
indeed, but however Darkseid is immune to reality changes since he exists (difficult to explain and would take forever to do so) in the same time and space across the Multiverse, and is fully aware of each reality.
Okay, but that doesn't prevent him from being affected by things far less potent than the Infinity Gauntlet. If Darkseid always operated at Infinity Gauntlet+ levels of power he would never lose at anything, period, and would have no need for the Anti-Life equation since the Gauntlet effectively includes that power.
Like Werewolf said " he's a universal constant ". Much like our world's eco system, there's particular prey that need to be kept in check, by certain predators or if not, that prey could have a negative effect on the eco system. So an animal having to kill to survive is not considered good or bad. That's the same with Galactus, but on a universal scale. Also I remember reading in a comic Galactus confided with Mistress Death that he hates the fact he has to consume planets with living beings in order to control his hunger.
גיל ברלב it's not hard to know this in my opinion. I mean the guy has the omega effect which can kill anyone it touches except supes or transport and transmute anything darkseid wants. He just jobbs alot
Also, kind of disappointed that DC’s Ares isn’t on here, at least as an honorable mention. He’s theoretically unbeatable when you consider the fact that his power comes from conflict, so I think that that makes him ridiculously overpowered

Any list without Nekron is a shitty list. For fuck's sake, the dude made the Black Lantern's central power battery out of the bloody Anti-Monitor!
Nekron is one of those "embodiments and aspects" of death I mentioned. There is an argument to be made that they have no other option.
It's made clear that Nekron is fully sentient with emotions, goals, and aspirations, and thus he is 100% a villain.
King Kasper anti monitor is the most powerful one in the list from the video and nice list too

Doomsday shouldn't even be on this list. There are plenty of characters that could erase him from existence.
Doomsday isn't the weakest but he most definitely shouldn't be on this list at least not without a power boost.
Darkseid and Thanos should have been at least a bit higher. And a few powerful ones are missing like Parallax or Nekron.
And the Butcher though he would be equal to Parallax since they are both physical embodiment's of their respective emotions that they represent.
Thanos is pitifully weak compared to so many other cooler villains though
I won't deny thanos is powerful, but he's weak compared to other villains in many universes. Marquis Of Death, The Void, Chaos King
And those are just 3 examples
AsrielTheMad i was gonna say them
You forgot Ultron, Carnage, Molecule Man, God Emporer Doom, Dormamu, Trigon, etc.

2:03 - Thanos
3:00 - Brainiac
3:50 - Doomsday (Spoiler BVS)
4:49 - The Anti-Monitor
5:38 - Annihilus
6:28 - Galactus
7:26 - Amazo
8:13 - Apocalypse
9:14 - Professor Zoom
No Dr.Doom????
Jason Weber his is very op when he got the power of the beyonder
I'm saying.
Doom is my nigga
VOID the funny thing is, he honestly has good intentions.
"and he was even responsible for the much maligned reboot, 2011's New 52"
Doctor Manhattan: that's what YOU think
I would argue Marvel has a bigger cosmology than DC does.
DC actually has a whole series dedicated to just that.
Ferry so does marvel...
So weird, in comics Reverse flash is god
In the Flash he cant out run Zoom
Well its not zoom anymore. Its the Black Flash.
@@erikmora3915 true bit you know what I mean
I do not think reverse flash is god. Just he made himself into a paradox therefore all copy of him cannot be eliminated. IN Doomdays clock Doctor Manhattan vaporize him for entering him space.
Dark....seed....
Never thought of Dr. Zoom as such a threat. Not because I don't think he is, but because I never think about him at all.
Darkjizz
Darthovaries.
What about Beyonder or Superboy Prime? Emperor Joker? The First Lantern? Nekron? Parallax?
The beyonder is neutral and the first lantern is called valthoom
Disturbing lack of Monarch from DC Comics in this video. He should be the poster-boy of Villainous power-creep that reached critical mass.
It's pronounced darkside!😠😠😠😠
Test
Taylor Hastings get a life
Marquis Of Death, any of the celestials, The Void. These are overpowered. As soon as I saw thanos I knew where the list was going
This became pretty hard to watch after hearing “darkseed” and doomsday’s creation being centered around Superman (which it wasn’t)
all i know is for YEARS ive wanted thw whole old school marvel universe handbook covers completely connected into a poster
Antimonitor is more powerfull than galactus
Galactus destroyed few words
Antimonitor destroyed whole multiverse with the STRONGER characters
Yes. Galaktus destroyed words :/
Pretty sure Doomsday wasn't created to kill Supes. He was just created to be unkillable.
I think you missed Superboy Prime
Darkseid was mentioned in the Justice League movie in 2017 by Steppenwolf, he mentioned Darkseid and pronounced it as "Darkside", just so you know how to pronounce it in the future haha
#1 noobmaster69
Darkseed: the seed of the figtree jesus was pissed off at.
Who is that woman holding the gauntlet at 2:35?
....Alan Moone?
Really enjoying the backround music over here ✋
I was expecting Mephisto, Dormammu, Black Adam, Black Phoenix and Doctor Doom.... I stand corrected ...
and Trigon.
black adam not strong enough dr.doom can't beat the other characters.
and boi Trigon is imortal in every way possible imune to magic has the power to fight Mr. mxyzptlk.
the guy doesn't know much about the mcu/dcu so figures they'd be left out
@@trollivur1719 Black Adam doesnt have any weaknesses, the only weakness he has is the word.
What movie is this 0:16?
Darkside not darkseed
There's 5+ animated features from DC in which Darkseid appears, and they say his name several times. It's common knowledge among fans, and even casual DC readers/watchers that his name is pronounced "Dark-Side".
"Dark Seed" 😂😂
As a someone who grew up watching comics, I wish people stoo putting Thanos into these kinds of lists. And justifying it because of Infinity Gauntlet which a bun off the streets could make this list if he had the gauntlet.
There is a storyline where thanos defeats the entire marvel universe without the gauntlet and keeps the hulk as a pet
@@davida7992 not cannon lol
I stopped watching the video the moment he pronounce darkseid that way
He was trolling I think
Watching this vid in 2020 and still can’t believe he said Dark-seed what a newb
Darkseid (like Dark-side)
Harbinger (like harbinjer)
Alan Moore (like Alan more)
Darkseid was annoying, but once you hear the background music, it's all you can hear for the rest of the video.
4:37 "Superman was even in his post-Crisis form the most powerful living being in the DC Universe..."
No
Post-Crisis Superman was the strongest superhero on Earth
soundtrack?
DARK”SIDE” *”SIDE”*
Bro did u even read when thanos got the heart of the universe.
hellish i think its non cannon and either way its not a part of him so there is no point on putting it on the list
His commentary on Thanos is lacking knowledge. Thanos has many feats w/o the infinity gauntlet with his own power that put him above Apocalypse and Annihilus . He should of said no particular order on power or influence in respect universe's.
He doesnt know shit about marvel
I have an ultimate villain for Superhumans who’s OP AF. His ability is to take all the abilities of whatever living being he kills, and give abilities to others, in part or in whole. He’s lived for over a million years, and has accumulated enough power to become godlike, even with an ultimate attack that can destroy planets. He is the most powerful being in the franchise as of when I write this comment, and reigns over an empire that occupies countless worlds across the universe. And if he succeeds in conquering/destroying Earth, he’s set to overtake the rest of the universe-if not more.
"Darkseed"
Me: "Aight...I'ma head on out..."
WTF???
It’s crazy to think that thanks technically had an infinity kill count.
What if Braniac possessed Doomsday ? ?
What if Braniac possessed Zoom?
SamuelStudios That's basically me
well don't forget, Darkseid did in fact fused with Brainac in JLU.
He did...it did not work out so well for ol brainiac. Doomsday slowly gained consciousness and it was too much for brainiac to handle. How brainiac could even come close to possessing a being like doomsday is beyond me
Him: darkseed
Bully maguire: hold my damn beer I must be more damn embarrassing
Seriously after all the comments on thr last video, and them pronouncing it right once they continue to say darkseed it. Cringy
I thought this was about stupid super villians
Darkseid VS Thanos! I’d love to watch that fight!
didn't darkseid take the gauntlet then toss it aside cause he didn't need it?
This is coming from a Marvel fan; Darkseid will mop the floor with Thanos.
SmashLiXs
Darkseid got an alt-universe Infinity Gauntlet and it didn't work outside it's native reality so he couldn't use it.
Magneto can do whatever he wants as long as he says "Magnetic" while doing it
It often feels like just lazy writing to over power a character in place of a good compelling story
More bashing of DC....
In short op DC villans lol
Doesn't really make sense though.
They're not really OP, since the heroes they fight are equally as OP, meaning everyone is on an equal playing field.
Man Of Steel not really
Darkseid if he felt like it could destroy the entire league,
Doomsday is more powerful than superman
PANTHOR109 Tha best
Finaly another person who knows that darkseid is stronger than the justice league !
גיל ברלב it's not hard to know this in my opinion. I mean the guy has the omega effect which can kill anyone it touches except supes or transport and transmute anything darkseid wants. He just jobbs alot
Ya'BoiPaulyH
Yeah.
And btw the reason it didnt kill supes and orion is because the source protect ppl who are important to the universe .
Also, kind of disappointed that DC’s Ares isn’t on here, at least as an honorable mention. He’s theoretically unbeatable when you consider the fact that his power comes from conflict, so I think that that makes him ridiculously overpowered
Darkseid is pronounced dark side
Darkseed is op but I remember that one time when he got destroyed by a Batman clone who had his idea of a gun.
Wrong he got destroyed by the real Batman the only thing that was a clone was the charred remains of Batman
Darksied is pronounced "dark side"
