The issue for new players is how fast they push you and stuff you with freebies, because they want that endgame grind to hit early because it is HARD. It is interesting to see the new player experience as a vet tho. King's Raid was my favorite game, it ruined every other gacha for me. But then corporate greed took over and the game is hurting and nearly dead because of it.

this game always seemed like very f2p friendly to me as one of the most generous "gacha" games i ever played, like some of the last characters released could be unlocked just by playing their event and it gave their equipment and unique weapon, the guild raids/wars were fun and the grinding was insane, sad the company had problems but hope that they make a comeback, it will always hold a place in my heart

i played KR religiously, and every new chapter release they had a BANGER ost played on the start screen, no cap i stared at the start screen till the song finished every-single-time i opened KR, i still listen to their ost playlist even now, and their story so mediocre at the start but got crazy good after Pandemonium, ngl probably my fav gacha storyline~ thank you KR, and may you RIP

I used to play final fantasy brave EXVIUS and CounterSide, Erotica, Shining beyond, Witch weapon, Brave nine, mobile legends adventure, Gundam breaker, knights chronicle, tales of Erin, and soul knight. I’m just currently waiting for goddess of victory. Once I get a new iPhone I will return to CounterSide and I’m debating on coming back home to Kings raid due to being homesick from it, and wanting to just start all over again from scratch for fun

Barely any players online, they've merged scoring and arena rankings due to barely any competition in several servers. Tick tock its a dying game unless a miracle happens or KR2 releases. I remember the Shea nerf right before Soul Weapon implementation was the final point for alot of veteran player especialy those who invest alot to Shea.
King's Raid is my favorite gacha game, cuz there's no gacha for characters and their unique weapons. It's only for the gears. By the time I completed the chapters I got every every waifu and their unique weapon, level 100 and ofc 5 star ascension. And the story get's so good towards the end!!
I started playing this game since 2017 and everything they offered was literally free and obtainable. Too generous that they destroyed themselves. Real money can only expedite your progress faster as the in game currency was easily obtainable! Every characters are obtainable without money. Skins are dirt cheap and obtainable without spending a single dime compare to other games that sell their skins for $20. Do your weeklies, and get thousands of gems. Run Shakmeh dungeons to craft your character exlcusive weapon and treasures. Vespa was too generous with the freebies that nothing in their shop are worth spending real money because you can earn them as you play longer. Balancing was an issue and the current state as it's in now is definitely deeper in the negatives as every character that makes them unique became basic and simple. For 2017, King's Raid was one of the best looking 3D models in the mobile game market.

Great video and acting. Play beyond Chapter 9 and you start to see major changes. Those intro cut scenes thereafter are simply stunning and breathtaking! You’ll probably need at least legendary dragon gear to finish Chapter 9. Your unique weapons should receive soul upgrade too.
This was my favorite mobile game, the first gacha game I spent money and 3 years of my life. Stopped playing because I got hooked with Rise of Kingdoms and likegames. After genshin's stupid anniversary, I tried to play this game again but events started to stop and I saw news of what happened to Vespa. It's a bummer to see what you use to love become something you came to hate. I hope they turn it around for KR2 if that will ever come out.
That golem that stops you is not even the endgame content. There is technomagic raid after that, which kicks you twice harder; and at the end there is ultimate final boss (or in other words "Hold on! It's just 2 seconds of the fight, where is my team?!) Ah, so many good memories of my first gacha game...
As someone who played every 2 days on average since early 2018 I can say it was indeed a good game untill the oct 11th update last year hit. It made basically every mechanic that made King's raid unique generic to the point where I feel disgusted seeing my beloved game in this state. I sadly can't recommend it for new players in the current state. furthermore Vespa, the developer of King's Raid went bankrupt. A takeover just recently got canceled and currently the game will most likely hit EOS around the end of June 2023 (that's when the server contract will run out). I really hope a better company will buy King's Raid and bring it back to it's old glory but I seriously doubt it. I don't have any copium left after a year of betrayals of Vespa towards it's community. Well that's what happens when corporate greed get's out of hand. PS: I find it funny how Stix ran Plaque of appreciation on Erze wich gives HP% to the wearer and c.dmg% to the ally with the highest atk instead of any actual dps artefact. Also interesting to see a mixed (magic and phys) 3 dps team. multiple dps teams were popular in the very early days of KR. At the time this video came out you would usually go with a single dps. a tank, a healer and the rest buffers. Anyways. nice video :)
King's Raid sucks right now. Content drought, f2p players get less rewards, the FKING RUNE UPDATE, patches that keep saying they are working on KR2, one of the main artists left the company, they went off the stock list, everything is a shitshow for Vespa. Don't get me wrong I love King's Raid and have been playing it ever since it came out but everything eventually dies. I don't think KR2 will save Vespa.
i hate vespa they killed the game and everyone left. they milked their money and wanted to kill the servers probably, horrible waste of time and money and we're only left with brief nostalgia.
What really sold this game for me were the character designs, I love all of their characters and some I had a really huge crush on (Chase, Crow, RC). But the game became really unbearable to play with the recent changes they added and the repetitive events they always do. I hope they make a comeback because this game was actually one of my favorites...
Hey hey all, I just wanted to post my 2 cents unto this video because like I didn't like the title of "worst gacha game ever?" because I did put in a lot of time and effort, even money into this game as I did have a lot of fun playing it. However, I do believe in that the direction where Vespa is going with King's Raid is very bleak. With that out of the way, here's my personal review of it. Story: The story itself is very boring until the later half. Like what you already stated in the video, the story takes place in the Orvel Castle controlling our Main Character, Kasel. Our main character is a very boring and uninteresting main character that you control and follow to eventually become the hero of Orvel. The story of King's Raid follows a very vanilla formula of Hero-To-Villain trope where our main character Kasel eventually succumbs to despair and becomes the next Dark Lord. Now this is where the story stops at as of the time of this writing. If I had to rate the story, I will give it a strong 7/10 as the story was not very interesting until the last 2 chapters of the game. Gameplay: The overall gameplay is extremely straight forward yet at the same time, interesting and engaging. Some contents and story stages in the game will require you to manually input skills in order to clear it. The idea of having 4-7 uncontrollable characters may seem boring at first and may be seen the same any other gacha games. However, this is where you're wrong. As you may not know, being able to time and use your skills in the correct order is what makes King's Raid stand out from other gacha games. This is extremely prevalent and noticeable in all of the competitive contents in King's Raid. Once you get to this point, this where both the grind and fun begins. The grinding to make your heroes stronger and the fun of building your heroes to perfection. In my opinion, Vespa has done an excellent job in implementing these two together. While I will not say that this is a perfect combination like salt and pepper, I will say that if you are a person that likes grindy games, this is a great game to pick up. Also, being able to dispatch teams and auto them is quite handy. Animation/Graphics: The graphics and animation in King's Raid is absolutely gorgeous. While it may not stand up to other popular games like Honkai Impact, Genshin Impact, and Punishing Gray Ravens the fact that it is still good to this day speaks volumes. Some of the things Vespa has done right with the animation is that every hero has more than 2 costumes and that their newer costumes has a unique character animation related to that costume. As you already shown in the video, the females in King's Raid has that erotic hip swing that shows their beautiful pillows gracefully swaying from side to side. Whereas some of the males will have that badassery look; Dark Lord Kasel. Gacha: The gacha system itself is quite unique as you pull for the unique gear (weapon and treasures) rather the hero. Like what you've discussed in the video, you can farm heroes in the heroe's inn or you can outright purchase them from the in-game shop. Now, this adds a different element to the game as this means that for free-to-play players, you can save up all your in-game currencies to buy/pull for unique gear to make them stronger. Extremely free-to-play friendly. The Best of King's Raid (PvP): Now I will talk about some of things that King's Raid has done right and during their golden age. King's Raid has some of the best PvP (player vs player) combat features in the market, where the 3 types of playstyle, burst, wall and bruiser will constantly collide. In PvP, you will see many different heroes used along with many different kinds of variation and strategy. The bright shine of King's Raid's PvP is that, you are freely able to build your heroes on how you see fit. You can build them to be ultra tanky to never die, to be very brittle but being able to dish out a tremendous amount of damage. The skies the limit. However, once you played enough matches and experienced enough team compositions you can tell what people are going to draft and how to counter them. It is the combination of theory crafting, testing, timing your skills and destroying your opponents using gear and strategy that makes this game so much fun. The Best of King's Raid (PvE): Now just like in any other mobile game, there are some unkillable bosses where you attack them to score points. In King's Raid, this is no exception, we call them World Bosses. Just like any other PvE (Player vs Everything/Monster) focused game the harder you hit the World Boss, the higher your score goes which ranks you higher to ultimately get better/good rewards. Now, if you are a person that is just straight out not interested in PvPing, you can work on your PvE heroes to kill things faster and score higher in World Boss. Other contents for PvE includes guild-team related activities where you fight a weekly boss to compete globally and a challenge raid where you fight certain bosses for awesome rewards. Now, what makes this section of the game so great and fun is that all the theory crafting that goes into it. Where you find out that making certain unpopular heroes is very strong here. It is all about how to keep your all your heroes alive while opting out for the most damage. The Fall of King's Raid (community): Now in my opinion, the fall of King's Raid comes from the developers bending over to the community too much. Some examples of bending over to the community is implementing too many freebies and having the ability to farm large amounts of premium gear tickets using in-game stamina. These two decisions resulted in both free-to-play and pay-to-play players getting absurdly stronger in a shorter period of time. Now what does this mean for Vespa? This means that their prices for unique gear will go down and that there is even less to strive for in the game. Meaning that there will be a point where everyone will have the same heroes, same investment, same content clearing. Now in some people's eyes, this might be a good thing but from a developer/corporate point of view, this is a bad move as now you don't have strong incentives to have players spend money. I am a firm believer in that if you decide to pay for a mobile game, you should be ahead of the free-to-play players. Now, if you are a big spender in which you are known as a whale, I am a firm believer that you should never be caught by a free-to-play player. The point being is that as a routine paying customer, you should get the perks of being ahead of other players. If you take one of the premium ways to get stronger being able to be farmed via free-to-play it will deflate the value of what the game wants to sell you. Ultimately, Vespa is in a position where they are asking themselves, "how are we going to make money?" The Fall of King's Raid (corporate greed): Now for those that do not know, Vespa has done some very terrible financial decisions. Vespa has made an anime that was dubbed one of the worst anime of the year of 2020 according to Mojo (not a very credible source) and they have created another game called Time Defenders which is not doing so well. Which resulted in the constant patches being pushed back and certain issues with the game not being addressed such as crashes and lag. The end result being that Vespa as a company is losing money. They need money. So where are they going to go for more money? Right back to the King's Raid community. But.....they've cornered themselves into a corner where they can't really sell all those premium gear due to it being farmable. So ultimately, they're in this hole where they can't climb themselves out of with a raging community asking for patches, content and issues being fixed. Conclusion and Final Thoughts: Overall, to this day, King's Raid is still one of the best mobile games I've ever played. From its simple yet complex gear system to acquiring new heroes to combat end stage content. I've spent numerous of hours theory crafting and playing the game. However, due to corporate greed and extremely poor decisions from the higher ups King's Raid has taken a huge beating which resulted in lag issues, constant crashes, poor customer service relationship and the lack of patches, content and updates. I have no confidence when I say that, I do not recommend anyone playing the game longer than 6 months due to the issues the game is having and that you are likely better off playing newer games that are much more stable. Lastly, as a note that I want to make clear is that King's Raid as a game is not a bad game and does not belong in the "worst gacha ever" category. That it is still a good game to play on the side casually, not to be taken seriously. I do hope that Vespa can turn this around and go back to their roots that which made them, "Bespa".
I agree, there are other games who clearly are deserving of this label. The game itself isn't bad, the ones in charge are the ones who ruined the experience. The whole notion of this video is to give a personal opinion on the game which is fair, but it does lean towards the bias end then trying to be fair.
Feel nice to see newbie still appear on this game, yet the game state is like when it released with only few reward that getting 5* uw is taking forever for them ( and old player as well) because vespa reduce the reward like crazy
Ah King's Raid, I used to play this game a lot. Like 2 years of playing if I remember correctly I stopped playing when my phone can't handle KR, since the size is so big and it's a bit laggy even in the lowest setting. Haven't seen many discussion/meme/random flex in the FB community. Many people said that the game is either dead or the dev abandoned it.
The fb KR group used to be so active but when the update on march came that said no more balancing, no events. It killed all the motivation to play the game hence the player population shrank greatly. Only the hardcore fans and newbies play KR now since there is nothing new going on. It might not be totally dead yet but it is DYING.

This is my second gacha games beside Goddess Kiss. The gameplay is fun but fall over the time with meta grind stuffs. And ffs i hate pvp in this game. for real. I revisit this game about 3 times and last year, i had to uninstall the games bcoz there are so many things that confuse hell out of me. 5/10 is the score i can gives. Stay for the story, get fucked by grindfest and pvp.

You should rename this series like i hate this gacha / i love this gacha than trying to be objective. Also clause is one of the best physical tanks in the game lol. There's pretty much nothing to gacha on in King's Raid. Pretty much everything is craftable. Also one of the easiest story clear in any "gacha" game if I'm completely honest. I'm a 5 year vet players and I've replayed on several alt account to try the 'new player' experience and it's pretty easy. The in-depth mechanic might pose some issue for players that don't bother to read skills & items description. Overall it's a good game other than the fact that the Dev are greedy (happened to most old gacha game at this point tbh)
This game brings back memories, it's a shame I let go of it at some point. I just hate how expensive it is to get heroes. Heroes should've costed like 3000 instead. I gave up after chapter 6 since the game wants me to be as as strong as the enemies to beat them. The NPC heroes are just too difficult to get since they require to much of gifts to get them. I loved the soundtrack and character designs. The gameplay is fine and is enjoyable, but does get repetitive and infuriating at some point. I would play it in Japanese dub since I found the English voices kinda bland and lame. The most annoying part of the game is how many times it crashes and lags. The loading screen takes way too long to load and crashes sometimes. I wish the dungeons could be accessed every time rather twice a day I think, so leveling up can be done easily. I don't think this is the worst gacha game, but the greed of the company and it not fixing it's most annoying issues and also making it too grindy is what ruined the game for me. The anime adaptation is a disappointment and I don't recommend watching it since the new story isn't that great. It's also too long and I wish they added more characters from the original game. Overall, this game holds a special place in my heart, and I would definitely reflect on my experiences here and now. It may not be as popular as other gachas like Genshin Impact, but I spent more time playing this than Genshin since it's not as laggy as Genshin as Genshin felt way too laggy on my phone. Knowing the company hasn't done any new things to this game is sad. Worst part is they haven't said anything new about King's Raid 2. I wouldn't be interested though since I don't care about this game as I once did anyway.

The free heroes are obtained from the Piece of Memory substories, found in the Memory Archives in Orvvel; Dark Lord Kasel, Fallen Frey, ("upgraded versions"), Rebel Clause, Hilda, and Shakmeh, and for Magic team, there's Xerah, Riheet and Ripine (from the anime). They have just revamped the whole battle system yesterday, reducing every value to single digits, removing most of the power-creep issues. Gone are the insta-kills, gone is crit reliability, gone are the astronomical values and infinite damage scaling of boost-boosted boost-boost, along with the mana/lifesteal tanks, the "x when at full Mana/Health" effects, and the long-winded unique treasure effects, now standardised in a "skill [n] effect +18%" format. I might be wrong, but I think this restores the viability of Dodge, and maybe even it's counter, ACC(uracy)? Gone are the unique perk trees, previous light and dark skill versions are now both incorporated into the reworked skills themselves, and the trees replaced with 5 tiers of Transcendence boni, up to 5 levels of marginal boni to all basic hero stats. Battle is slower, with typically one skill removed from the mana system entirely, and more spamables than before, just way, WAY less Mana atm. The PvP is a tighter tug-of-war, and all the heroes more even in performance and niche. And now, you can spend another 2 Bn. dollars on the game, thanks to 15* Unique Weapons, requiring a stupid amount of UW copies and Soul Stones to make... And the upgrade can still fail as normal, while success chance keeps increasing every failure. But they also drop 1* every time, in theory, you could go from 14 and back down to 0, before succeeding to a 1* again. So I think the NPC heroes are gonna have a hard time keeping pace. And you can Limit Break your max. level heroes, if you draw their Scroll, from a usually expensive class ticket, craft a compendium from skillbooks and a heap of gold, plus 10/20/30/etc. Infinity Stones (yes, the same that you need 15 of for Transcendence tiers 1 through 5). Then you can pay extra new rare resources to enable a Limit Break to level 102, with higher resource cost, etc. But right now, there's a Rollbook for free Scrolls, and the rare resources required, upon daily login.
King's Raid has plenty of issues, for certain. Gear Grind's abysmal, PvP's boring as hell, at least for me, I can see its appeal though. If anyone enjoys it, more power to them. Not to mention the performance issues and constant crashed. Those are three, or four, I suppose, glaring flaws. Yet, I still quite love the game. Not saying that anyone and everyone SHOULD though. The main reason for my love of King's Raid has to be story. From 1 to 9, it's pretty cookie-cutter, generic fantasy fare. But 9.5 onwards it's a goddamn masterpiece that I hope more people come to enjoy and appreciate. The Technomagic Raids and whatnot are actually also pretty fun, hitting milestones of damage numbers on World Bosses makes it feel like my grind has actually paid off. The character designs are great, if a little heavy on the fanservice at times. Hoping for King's Raid 2 one of these days. Sure, you can say it was corporate greed that caused Vespa to reach this point of financial instability, but clearly people have put their blood, sweat and tears into this game, and still are working on developing it. So, I can't help but respect that and hope for the best.

This game is great... But dead... So don't wort playing anymore because there are no relevant updates or events anymore
LoL clause and Kasel are pretty much 2 of the strongest heroes in the late game... You didn't even scratch the surface of the game.... There is so much more
None of the amazing amount of stuff they give you or which is earned is enough to get you past the final endgame challenge dragons unless you have pretty much maxed out legendary gear and associated upgrades AND the right heroes. The game is divided between those who can and have, and those who can't. Welcome to the wall. The end. Disafuckingpointing.

as a person who played thee og king's raid back 2016-2019 it was a good game then post 2019 -2022 had been a shitshow especially lastmonth where they slashed everything
I remember the Shea nerf right before Soul Weapon implementation was the final point for alot of veteran player especialy those who invest alot to Shea.
King's Raid is my favorite gacha game, cuz there's no gacha for characters and their unique weapons. It's only for the gears. By the time I completed the chapters I got every every waifu and their unique weapon, level 100 and ofc 5 star ascension. And the story get's so good towards the end!!
I started playing this game since 2017 and everything they offered was literally free and obtainable. Too generous that they destroyed themselves. Real money can only expedite your progress faster as the in game currency was easily obtainable! Every characters are obtainable without money. Skins are dirt cheap and obtainable without spending a single dime compare to other games that sell their skins for $20. Do your weeklies, and get thousands of gems. Run Shakmeh dungeons to craft your character exlcusive weapon and treasures. Vespa was too generous with the freebies that nothing in their shop are worth spending real money because you can earn them as you play longer. Balancing was an issue and the current state as it's in now is definitely deeper in the negatives as every character that makes them unique became basic and simple.
For 2017, King's Raid was one of the best looking 3D models in the mobile game market.

Great video and acting. Play beyond Chapter 9 and you start to see major changes. Those intro cut scenes thereafter are simply stunning and breathtaking! You’ll probably need at least legendary dragon gear to finish Chapter 9. Your unique weapons should receive soul upgrade too.

This was my favorite mobile game, the first gacha game I spent money and 3 years of my life. Stopped playing because I got hooked with Rise of Kingdoms and likegames. After genshin's stupid anniversary, I tried to play this game again but events started to stop and I saw news of what happened to Vespa. It's a bummer to see what you use to love become something you came to hate.
I hope they turn it around for KR2 if that will ever come out.
I feel you're doing a public service playing all these gacha games and showing me exactly which ones I don't want to bother spending time on.
That golem that stops you is not even the endgame content. There is technomagic raid after that, which kicks you twice harder; and at the end there is ultimate final boss (or in other words "Hold on! It's just 2 seconds of the fight, where is my team?!)
Ah, so many good memories of my first gacha game...
As someone who played every 2 days on average since early 2018 I can say it was indeed a good game untill the oct 11th update last year hit. It made basically every mechanic that made King's raid unique generic to the point where I feel disgusted seeing my beloved game in this state. I sadly can't recommend it for new players in the current state. furthermore Vespa, the developer of King's Raid went bankrupt. A takeover just recently got canceled and currently the game will most likely hit EOS around the end of June 2023 (that's when the server contract will run out).
I really hope a better company will buy King's Raid and bring it back to it's old glory but I seriously doubt it. I don't have any copium left after a year of betrayals of Vespa towards it's community.
Well that's what happens when corporate greed get's out of hand.
PS: I find it funny how Stix ran Plaque of appreciation on Erze wich gives HP% to the wearer and c.dmg% to the ally with the highest atk instead of any actual dps artefact. Also interesting to see a mixed (magic and phys) 3 dps team. multiple dps teams were popular in the very early days of KR. At the time this video came out you would usually go with a single dps. a tank, a healer and the rest buffers.

King's Raid sucks right now. Content drought, f2p players get less rewards, the FKING RUNE UPDATE, patches that keep saying they are working on KR2, one of the main artists left the company, they went off the stock list, everything is a shitshow for Vespa. Don't get me wrong I love King's Raid and have been playing it ever since it came out but everything eventually dies. I don't think KR2 will save Vespa.
i hate vespa they killed the game and everyone left. they milked their money and wanted to kill the servers probably, horrible waste of time and money and we're only left with brief nostalgia.
What really sold this game for me were the character designs, I love all of their characters and some I had a really huge crush on (Chase, Crow, RC). But the game became really unbearable to play with the recent changes they added and the repetitive events they always do.
I hope they make a comeback because this game was actually one of my favorites...
Hey hey all, I just wanted to post my 2 cents unto this video because like I didn't like the title of "worst gacha game ever?" because I did put in a lot of time and effort, even money into this game as I did have a lot of fun playing it. However, I do believe in that the direction where Vespa is going with King's Raid is very bleak. With that out of the way, here's my personal review of it.
Story: The story itself is very boring until the later half. Like what you already stated in the video, the story takes place in the Orvel Castle controlling our Main Character, Kasel. Our main character is a very boring and uninteresting main character that you control and follow to eventually become the hero of Orvel. The story of King's Raid follows a very vanilla formula of Hero-To-Villain trope where our main character Kasel eventually succumbs to despair and becomes the next Dark Lord. Now this is where the story stops at as of the time of this writing. If I had to rate the story, I will give it a strong 7/10 as the story was not very interesting until the last 2 chapters of the game.
Gameplay: The overall gameplay is extremely straight forward yet at the same time, interesting and engaging. Some contents and story stages in the game will require you to manually input skills in order to clear it. The idea of having 4-7 uncontrollable characters may seem boring at first and may be seen the same any other gacha games. However, this is where you're wrong. As you may not know, being able to time and use your skills in the correct order is what makes King's Raid stand out from other gacha games. This is extremely prevalent and noticeable in all of the competitive contents in King's Raid. Once you get to this point, this where both the grind and fun begins. The grinding to make your heroes stronger and the fun of building your heroes to perfection. In my opinion, Vespa has done an excellent job in implementing these two together. While I will not say that this is a perfect combination like salt and pepper, I will say that if you are a person that likes grindy games, this is a great game to pick up. Also, being able to dispatch teams and auto them is quite handy.
Animation/Graphics: The graphics and animation in King's Raid is absolutely gorgeous. While it may not stand up to other popular games like Honkai Impact, Genshin Impact, and Punishing Gray Ravens the fact that it is still good to this day speaks volumes. Some of the things Vespa has done right with the animation is that every hero has more than 2 costumes and that their newer costumes has a unique character animation related to that costume. As you already shown in the video, the females in King's Raid has that erotic hip swing that shows their beautiful pillows gracefully swaying from side to side. Whereas some of the males will have that badassery look; Dark Lord Kasel.
Gacha: The gacha system itself is quite unique as you pull for the unique gear (weapon and treasures) rather the hero. Like what you've discussed in the video, you can farm heroes in the heroe's inn or you can outright purchase them from the in-game shop. Now, this adds a different element to the game as this means that for free-to-play players, you can save up all your in-game currencies to buy/pull for unique gear to make them stronger. Extremely free-to-play friendly.
The Best of King's Raid (PvP): Now I will talk about some of things that King's Raid has done right and during their golden age. King's Raid has some of the best PvP (player vs player) combat features in the market, where the 3 types of playstyle, burst, wall and bruiser will constantly collide. In PvP, you will see many different heroes used along with many different kinds of variation and strategy. The bright shine of King's Raid's PvP is that, you are freely able to build your heroes on how you see fit. You can build them to be ultra tanky to never die, to be very brittle but being able to dish out a tremendous amount of damage. The skies the limit. However, once you played enough matches and experienced enough team compositions you can tell what people are going to draft and how to counter them. It is the combination of theory crafting, testing, timing your skills and destroying your opponents using gear and strategy that makes this game so much fun.
The Best of King's Raid (PvE): Now just like in any other mobile game, there are some unkillable bosses where you attack them to score points. In King's Raid, this is no exception, we call them World Bosses. Just like any other PvE (Player vs Everything/Monster) focused game the harder you hit the World Boss, the higher your score goes which ranks you higher to ultimately get better/good rewards. Now, if you are a person that is just straight out not interested in PvPing, you can work on your PvE heroes to kill things faster and score higher in World Boss. Other contents for PvE includes guild-team related activities where you fight a weekly boss to compete globally and a challenge raid where you fight certain bosses for awesome rewards. Now, what makes this section of the game so great and fun is that all the theory crafting that goes into it. Where you find out that making certain unpopular heroes is very strong here. It is all about how to keep your all your heroes alive while opting out for the most damage.
The Fall of King's Raid (community): Now in my opinion, the fall of King's Raid comes from the developers bending over to the community too much. Some examples of bending over to the community is implementing too many freebies and having the ability to farm large amounts of premium gear tickets using in-game stamina. These two decisions resulted in both free-to-play and pay-to-play players getting absurdly stronger in a shorter period of time. Now what does this mean for Vespa? This means that their prices for unique gear will go down and that there is even less to strive for in the game. Meaning that there will be a point where everyone will have the same heroes, same investment, same content clearing. Now in some people's eyes, this might be a good thing but from a developer/corporate point of view, this is a bad move as now you don't have strong incentives to have players spend money. I am a firm believer in that if you decide to pay for a mobile game, you should be ahead of the free-to-play players. Now, if you are a big spender in which you are known as a whale, I am a firm believer that you should never be caught by a free-to-play player. The point being is that as a routine paying customer, you should get the perks of being ahead of other players. If you take one of the premium ways to get stronger being able to be farmed via free-to-play it will deflate the value of what the game wants to sell you. Ultimately, Vespa is in a position where they are asking themselves, "how are we going to make money?"
The Fall of King's Raid (corporate greed): Now for those that do not know, Vespa has done some very terrible financial decisions. Vespa has made an anime that was dubbed one of the worst anime of the year of 2020 according to Mojo (not a very credible source) and they have created another game called Time Defenders which is not doing so well. Which resulted in the constant patches being pushed back and certain issues with the game not being addressed such as crashes and lag. The end result being that Vespa as a company is losing money. They need money. So where are they going to go for more money? Right back to the King's Raid community. But.....they've cornered themselves into a corner where they can't really sell all those premium gear due to it being farmable. So ultimately, they're in this hole where they can't climb themselves out of with a raging community asking for patches, content and issues being fixed.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts: Overall, to this day, King's Raid is still one of the best mobile games I've ever played. From its simple yet complex gear system to acquiring new heroes to combat end stage content. I've spent numerous of hours theory crafting and playing the game. However, due to corporate greed and extremely poor decisions from the higher ups King's Raid has taken a huge beating which resulted in lag issues, constant crashes, poor customer service relationship and the lack of patches, content and updates. I have no confidence when I say that, I do not recommend anyone playing the game longer than 6 months due to the issues the game is having and that you are likely better off playing newer games that are much more stable.
Lastly, as a note that I want to make clear is that King's Raid as a game is not a bad game and does not belong in the "worst gacha ever" category. That it is still a good game to play on the side casually, not to be taken seriously. I do hope that Vespa can turn this around and go back to their roots that which made them, "Bespa".

I stopped playing when my phone can't handle KR, since the size is so big and it's a bit laggy even in the lowest setting.
Haven't seen many discussion/meme/random flex in the FB community. Many people said that the game is either dead or the dev abandoned it.
The fb KR group used to be so active but when the update on march came that said no more balancing, no events. It killed all the motivation to play the game hence the player population shrank greatly. Only the hardcore fans and newbies play KR now since there is nothing new going on. It might not be totally dead yet but it is DYING.
King's Raid: Super Versy F2P friendly cuz there's no character gacha.

This is my second gacha games beside Goddess Kiss. The gameplay is fun but fall over the time with meta grind stuffs. And ffs i hate pvp in this game. for real. I revisit this game about 3 times and last year, i had to uninstall the games bcoz there are so many things that confuse hell out of me. 5/10 is the score i can gives. Stay for the story, get fucked by grindfest and pvp.

You should rename this series like i hate this gacha / i love this gacha than trying to be objective. There's pretty much nothing to gacha on in King's Raid. Pretty much everything is craftable. Also one of the easiest story clear in any "gacha" game if I'm completely honest. I'm a 5 year vet players and I've replayed on several alt account to try the 'new player' experience and it's pretty easy. The in-depth mechanic might pose some issue for players that don't bother to read skills & items description. Overall it's a good game other than the fact that the Dev are greedy (happened to most old gacha game at this point tbh)
And saying Clause a useless character sounds like you have literacy/skill issues lol. He's one of the best tanks to use til the late end game
This game brings back memories, it's a shame I let go of it at some point. I just hate how expensive it is to get heroes. Heroes should've costed like 3000 instead. I gave up after chapter 6 since the game wants me to be as as strong as the enemies to beat them. The NPC heroes are just too difficult to get since they require to much of gifts to get them. I loved the soundtrack and character designs. The gameplay is fine and is enjoyable, but does get repetitive and infuriating at some point. I would play it in Japanese dub since I found the English voices kinda bland and lame. The most annoying part of the game is how many times it crashes and lags. The loading screen takes way too long to load and crashes sometimes. I wish the dungeons could be accessed every time rather twice a day I think, so leveling up can be done easily. I don't think this is the worst gacha game, but the greed of the company and it not fixing it's most annoying issues and also making it too grindy is what ruined the game for me. The anime adaptation is a disappointment and I don't recommend watching it since the new story isn't that great. It's also too long and I wish they added more characters from the original game. Overall, this game holds a special place in my heart, and I would definitely reflect on my experiences here and now. It may not be as popular as other gachas like Genshin Impact, but I spent more time playing this than Genshin since it's not as laggy as Genshin as Genshin felt way too laggy on my phone. Knowing the company hasn't done any new things to this game is sad. Worst part is they haven't said anything new about King's Raid 2. I wouldn't be interested though since I don't care about this game as I once did anyway.
King's Raid is the one that introduced me how shit artifact with rng substats is, i play this game blindly until im stuck at ch8. i quit the game cuz no matter how much i grind im still weak, until later on i realized its all about the substats

I love king's raid but the game died quite a bit ):
The free heroes are obtained from the Piece of Memory substories, found in the Memory Archives in Orvvel; Dark Lord Kasel, Fallen Frey, ("upgraded versions"), Rebel Clause, Hilda, and Shakmeh, and for Magic team, there's Xerah, Riheet and Ripine (from the anime).
They have just revamped the whole battle system yesterday, reducing every value to single digits, removing most of the power-creep issues. Gone are the insta-kills, gone is crit reliability, gone are the astronomical values and infinite damage scaling of boost-boosted boost-boost, along with the mana/lifesteal tanks, the "x when at full Mana/Health" effects, and the long-winded unique treasure effects, now standardised in a "skill [n] effect +18%" format. I might be wrong, but I think this restores the viability of Dodge, and maybe even it's counter, ACC(uracy)?
Gone are the unique perk trees, previous light and dark skill versions are now both incorporated into the reworked skills themselves, and the trees replaced with 5 tiers of Transcendence boni, up to 5 levels of marginal boni to all basic hero stats. Battle is slower, with typically one skill removed from the mana system entirely, and more spamables than before, just way, WAY less Mana atm. The PvP is a tighter tug-of-war, and all the heroes more even in performance and niche.
And now, you can spend another 2 Bn. dollars on the game, thanks to 15* Unique Weapons, requiring a stupid amount of UW copies and Soul Stones to make... And the upgrade can still fail as normal, while success chance keeps increasing every failure. But they also drop 1* every time, in theory, you could go from 14 and back down to 0, before succeeding to a 1* again. So I think the NPC heroes are gonna have a hard time keeping pace.
And you can Limit Break your max. level heroes, if you draw their Scroll, from a usually expensive class ticket, craft a compendium from skillbooks and a heap of gold, plus 10/20/30/etc. Infinity Stones (yes, the same that you need 15 of for Transcendence tiers 1 through 5). Then you can pay extra new rare resources to enable a Limit Break to level 102, with higher resource cost, etc. But right now, there's a Rollbook for free Scrolls, and the rare resources required, upon daily login.
It was the greatest... I'm praying they recover and make KR 2 something special

King's Raid has plenty of issues, for certain. Gear Grind's abysmal, PvP's boring as hell, at least for me, I can see its appeal though. If anyone enjoys it, more power to them. Not to mention the performance issues and constant crashed. Those are three, or four, I suppose, glaring flaws. Yet, I still quite love the game. Not saying that anyone and everyone SHOULD though.
The main reason for my love of King's Raid has to be story. From 1 to 9, it's pretty cookie-cutter, generic fantasy fare. But 9.5 onwards it's a goddamn masterpiece that I hope more people come to enjoy and appreciate. The Technomagic Raids and whatnot are actually also pretty fun, hitting milestones of damage numbers on World Bosses makes it feel like my grind has actually paid off. The character designs are great, if a little heavy on the fanservice at times.
Hoping for King's Raid 2 one of these days. Sure, you can say it was corporate greed that caused Vespa to reach this point of financial instability, but clearly people have put their blood, sweat and tears into this game, and still are working on developing it. So, I can't help but respect that and hope for the best.

LoL clause and Kasel are pretty much 2 of the strongest heroes in the late game... You didn't even scratch the surface of the game.... There is so much more
None of the amazing amount of stuff they give you or which is earned is enough to get you past the final endgame challenge dragons unless you have pretty much maxed out legendary gear and associated upgrades AND the right heroes.
The game is divided between those who can and have, and those who can't. Welcome to the wall.
