Finished reading the rule book but still had doubts, so I decided to watch your video. Your vid cleared all of them, thank you for shooting it again. Your vids are great!
Watch It Played when adding up the killshot tack do you count both tokens on a single killshot i.e where you had two stacked on top of each other on each skull?
Thank you again, Rodney! You are the best! I can imagine how hard is to make this videos, to be 100% sure of all rules... sometimes i play a game 3-4x, read the rules 3-4x and there is still some rules questions and misplays :p
It was a bummer to find this mistake as it happened during a power outage, so I couldn't correct it as quickly as I would have liked. Thankfully got it uploaded before losing power again - Canadian winter is here! :)
In your example @ 10:22, woudl the blue figure be able to see an opponent in the blue room that has a door, since it's a straight line of sight, or no bc it's 2 rooms away (instead of 1)?
They would not be able to see into that blue room. Think of it this way: a figure in that far blue room would be sure to position themselves so they weren't standing in a place that could be spotted (they might stand to the right of the door frame, for example). On the other hand, if they were in the pink middle room, there is nowhere to hide that someone peering around the corner into that room wouldn't be able to see. At 10:00 you get an example of what I'm talking about, in terms of peeking through the door.
Probably not on this one. I have two other play throughs in the works, but we're having power shortages due to snow, and it's delaying things slightly.
How easy do you think a team-based variant (ie 2 vs 2) would be to create/play? something like a team deathmatch or team turret control (or whatever it's called)?
Great video, as always.1) If we chose not to do final frenzy, and went straight to final scoring, we still score any player who have damaged on them? 2)Also, what is your opinion of domination or turret? I hear most people prefer domination. 3) For power cards, can you use as many as you want at the same time? For example, using 3 targeting scopes to deal 3 additional damage to one player. Thank you!
Thank you, I literally just opened the box last night, and we decided to skip the rulebook and learn the game the same way we learned Dead of Winter... through watch it played. Keep up all your hard work.
Hey Rodney, thanks for another great video! One question for you, at minute 20 you mention to score as you would normally even if the player isn't dead. I don't quite understand that. Using your example of the blue players board, does that mean purple would score six points as the highest damage dealt & green gets four points?
Ah, it got re-uploaded. I can't remember if I asked, but I'd really like an instructional video for Star Wars: Imperial Assault. My family will be playing (I'll be getting it for xmas), and I'm worried they might get overwhelmed by the rules. A video would be great for me to have a better way to explain it and for them to watch. Thanks Rodney!
No plans to cover that one currently, but perhaps in the future at some point. I tend to avoid pre-announcing the games I'm working on, as sometimes things change.
when explaining power cards - when can you play a power card such as teleport? only on your turn, on anyones turn? only at the beginning or ending of your turn?
Hey Doug, on the sheet that comes with the game detailing each power ups effect, it will tell you when it may be used. In this case, it's probably best to check that.
Just got this game and keen to play it! Just a rules question: what's the point of marking overkills with two stacked damage tokens on the kill track? Do you get more points for them at the end of the game?
+SuperSpoon101 At the end of the game, you get points on the kill shot track based on the number of your tokens there, so overkill adds more tokens. I'm travelling so can't easily look to see where in the video that's explained, but you will find it there :)
Hi. Thanks a lot for the rules video. I had a quick question. In minute 10 can the blue player's line of sight extend from the white room through the doors all the way into the first blue room with the door? Thanks in advance.
The rule works like this, a door always connects 2 different rooms. If you are in a space that has a door, then you can see all the spaces of the room you are in, as well as all the spaces of the room that is connected to your space through that door. My use of the words "space" and "room" here are very precise, so make sure you follow that wording carefully. As it relates to your example, since there is no White space that has a door which connects to the Blue spaces, there is no way that any figure on any white space could ever see a figure on any of the blue spaces. Hope that helps.
Looks like a fun game. a lot of games have lots o pieces these days ; some of the graphics. colors and tokens are cool others not so much. overall cool theme.
Question about the doors and shooting. so a player next to a door can target anyone in the room on the other side ("peek around the corner" as you put it). but how about this: you are at a door, and the next room has another door that is directly across from you. can you then target other players in the third room if they are in the space that has the door? ("long shot" so to speak)
Since you aren't adjacent to the door across the room next to you, then no, you would not have visibility into that room. Or to continue the flavor-text version: you cannot stretch your neck across a room to peek through that next door. You essentially assume the target figure is taking cover beside the door.
I'm glad you caught that. I misread the rule early on and then proceeded to play it wrong long enough that it got cemented into my memory that way. Would not have wanted to pass that incorrect reading on!
If the shooting weapons needs players move 1 or 2 or more space , may I move it to the wall (that means don’t let the figure move space so that I can use other weapon to fight him)?
With the picking up weapons I have a question. When a player has three weapons which is max, you'll only be switching out your weapons every time you get a new one (because you replaced the ones that weren't there anymore). Therefore you can't play every weapon. Is there a way to discard weapons?
I avoid getting into individual card effects in these videos, as that's a little more detail than I can manage as just one person with all these game :).
Anyone know why there is 6 numbers on the board next to the kill track for end game scoring. There are 5 players max and 6 numbers. Am I missing something with the end game scoring?
If one figure is on the blue side with a door and a another figure is on the white side with a door like this map. Can the figure one the blue side shoot the other one in the white side or is he out from the line of sight?
I can't quite picture what you're asking, but I have a guess at it. Hope that helps.
I would say not, since you would not be able to see the third full room from where you are standing. And you have to imagine the enemy in the door space of the third room takes cover so not to be in line of sight.
It's only as good as the players who play it with you, for sure. Also, the cost is pretty prohibitive and is tricky to get to the table often. In my experience, only Mechs Vs Minions, Oracle of Delphi, or Through the Ages is worse for set-up time, explanation, and frequency of play in a group. I'm actually pissed because I paid a full $75 for this on opening week and now its $50 or less everywhere online. That price is far more reasonable for what you get in my opinion. Miniature Market has a great price. www.miniaturemarket.com/cge00037.html?.com&Product_Feed&
Where on the rule book does it say to drop damage on the kill shot track and why? Does over kill stack them or does getting multi kills stack them? Or both? Also if someone gets 2 kills and theres only 1 skull do they get points from both kills or no?
Finished reading the rule book but still had doubts, so I decided to watch your video. Your vid cleared all of them, thank you for shooting it again. Your vids are great!
So glad to hear it helped! Thanks for the kind feedback Jahdiel.
Re-uploaded because of one mistake? Now that's what I call class.
woehrle17 that's WIP for ya
Wish I hadn't made the mistake to begin with, but hopefully this prevents confusion!

You’re very welcome!
Thanks for the video, this is a great demonstration of the game and explanation of it's rules!
Thanks so much for the kind words - very glad you enjoyed the video!

A pleasure to share - glad you liked it!
Ah yes the game where YOU are the area control. One of the great 5 player board games I have ever played. Thanks Rodney!
Glad you enjoyed this one Akmal!
Is there going to be a playthrough? I'm thinking about getting this.
Probably not on this one. I have two other play throughs in the works, but we're having power shortages due to snow, and it's delaying things slightly.
Ok. Alright. Looks like I'm not getting this game. Lol, jk. Keep up the good work!
You should do a 'Watch It Played' with the new GW Blood Bowl game.
Haven't played yet, but we'll see.
Thanks a lot for the video, now the rules are clear for us. Nice work, cheers.
Very nice to hear - I hope you have a fun time playing!
Very detailed How-To-Play video, Good job!
Cheers Ohad!
How easy do you think a team-based variant (ie 2 vs 2) would be to create/play? something like a team deathmatch or team turret control (or whatever it's called)?
I'm really not sure. I don't tend to explore variants too often.

Love to see a play-thru of this one!
No plans to currently, but we have another game in line for a play through which should be starting very soon.
Howard Hou gaming knights did a play through. If you're still interested.
Another great game play vid. Thanks!

Thomas has it right. You can only see into a room if you are physically in the space that has a door attached to it.
Sorry, I hope it wasn't too much trouble reshooting and re-editing it.
I'm glad you caught that. I misread the rule early on and then proceeded to play it wrong long enough that it got cemented into my memory that way. Would not have wanted to pass that incorrect reading on!

I'm sorry, I can't quite follow what you're asking.
In turret mode, is the max number of turrets 5? It makes sense, but I can't find that info in the rules.Great video and great game!
According to the rules, I saw "Squares that offer ammo now have turrets as well." So all squares that offer ammo on the board, can act as turrets.
With the picking up weapons I have a question. When a player has three weapons which is max, you'll only be switching out your weapons every time you get a new one (because you replaced the ones that weren't there anymore). Therefore you can't play every weapon. Is there a way to discard weapons?
I'm a bit confused by the first part of your question, but basically, you only drop a weapon when you're taking a 4th, and already have 3.
Can you TagBack with the grenade when you die? Normally, if you die, you can't see anymore ... Thank's for your videos!
I avoid getting into individual card effects in these videos, as that's a little more detail than I can manage as just one person with all these game :).
@@WatchItPlayed Thank's for your answer, and I understand very well your point. I know, BGG is more appropriate for this kind of question. :)

I'm guessing it's in anticipation of potential expansions.
Watch It Played probably for a 5 player + bot game
No, because the bot is one of the 5 miniatures.
Oh yeah.... right. That makes sense.
Confirmed a sixth player (reddish colour) in the expansion which is aiming for an Essen 2017 release

Yes it help me a lot.
Thank you for answering my question ^^
Continue with your hard work. 😀
I think he is asking a question I have too.
Can you shoot across a room to a third room if open doors between them?
I would say not, since you would not be able to see the third full room from where you are standing. And you have to imagine the enemy in the door space of the third room takes cover so not to be in line of sight.
can a player fire more than one weapon if their weapon is reloaded/bought?
If you have the action to use it, yes!
Really curious how this would play. It sounds good in concept but I have a feeling it isn't very rewarding as you play especially at $75.
Hopefully the video gave you some insights. Cheers.

its possible to add the bot for play in 2 players?
Not sure on that. Haven't tried.

Where can i buy this?
It sort of depends on where you live and what your ordering options are.
Watch It Played i found it on amazon but thansk anyway
Great instructional video, as always. Seems like a perfect board game port of an FPS, but I prefer co-op games. :P
Well, this is certainly not co-op :) Thanks for checking out the video!
A combat-focused game with no dice? Interesting!
Thanks for checking out the video!
So at the begining when i spawn, if i have enough ammo i can buy 2 weapons right away?!
If you use the "Grab" action, you can get a gun.
holy shit that is a ton of producers
We used to run a fundraiser to allow me to work on the show full time - those are many of the contributors.
Got it today from a store at 50% off
Good deal! They have an expansion releasing for it as well.
Watch It Played will try it tomorrow with the kids
@@gabrielesimionato1210 how did it go? I’ve yet to play my copy
