A fine Scottish hunt for roe deer and a huge buck taken while being swarmed by midgies, bugs and flies. Fast stalk in to catch up with a buck moving fast that ran when shot but Labrador retriever blood track finding deer quickly. Hunt scouting with a Pulsar XP50 Thermal Imager. You need some Avon skin-so-soft to keep those bugs at bay. Worked for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I’m from America and on a whitetail deer which is a bit larger that wouldn’t be where you’d want to shoot it we try for right behind the shoulder a good bit lower than where you placed it

I thought the legal max for deer in Scotland was 100gr 243????
