Thank you so much! We were ready to go to Costco and buy a new TV. After calling ATT they couldn’t resolve the problem they told us to contact Samsung. I thought I would just try You Tube and your first suggestion worked immediately for us. Thank you so much for this video. You saved us!
I did it probably 12-15 times. Finally could see a message to unplug my HDMI from ROKU and tv. Unplug ROKU power cord. Unplug the tv. I held in the button for 60 seconds then reconnected everything. It came on with a picture, but the right side was pixelating. I just let it run. It took about 30 seconds for the entire screen to look normal. Beautiful, clear picture. You saved me from buying another TV. This TV is also in the weather on our patio. Been there about 7 years.
Yep this worked! We almost gave up on our 4 year old 35" Samsung. TIP: We didn't think it was going to work because the screen remained black on the TV for almost 10 minutes then it started to "reboot" (I think that's what it was doing?) all on its own. We had to flip the circuit breaker off as we don't have access to the power plug since it is hung above our fireplace. Thank you SO MUCH!
@@FrankBell Yes the TV had a black screen and remained black after DISCONNECTING power source and HOLDING button for one minute, then connecting power back on. Nothing happened for about 10 minutes after that. Then the screen came back on. I believe it was rebooting itself during this time.
Thanks & it's working again, just followed your second step, pull out the plug & pressed the button for above 1min, then plug it again & switch on the remote power on and wow.... it's working. Many many thanks.

This just happened to me today - there seems to be a defect with these Samsungs screens with a loose connection somewhere inside the case. Try grabbing the TV on each upper corner and give it a little shake, almost like your tugging and pushing one hand vs the other - you may have to jiggle it a little harder than you would expect, but if you do it hard enough you’ll see some flickering of the screen and if you get it just right the screen will stay on. Totally whack - this is definitely a defect and the techs providing phone support don’t know about it (or aren’t saying). Either way, try it and report back if it works for you - spread the word. Good luck!
