My Colonoscopy Preparation and Procedure Experience and Review

- Today I share my colonoscopy preparation and procedure experience and review with you, from start to finish. Everything from why I am getting one, using the Miralax colonoscopy prep, trip to the surgery center for the actual colonoscopie procedure, why colon cancer screening is important and thoughts after my colonoscopy procedure. I share my first colonoscopy vlog experience with you guys!
Colorectal cancer is the most preventable cancer. Current medical guidelines recommend having your first colonoscopy at age 45. If you have had other intestinal or GI tract issues such as IBS, diverticulitis, crohns disease, ulcers, acid refulx, etc... your doctor might recommend you have a colonoscopy as well. Colonoscopy prep is quite easy, don't be fooled by all the scary stories you hear. This is a vital screening procedure that everyone will need at some point in their life. Don't put it off, this is an essential screening that could literally save your life.
Some people may avoid the procedure out of embarrassment or a lack of willingness to prepare. There are a variety of bowel preparations available, each with its own size and flavor profile. Moreover, the colonoscopy nurses and doctors are sensitive to your privacy throughout the process.
▶️ A colonoscopy is an outpatient procedure that examines the large intestine's inside. Colonoscopy is the most accurate diagnostic for colon and rectum cancer, with a track record of detecting the disease early and saving lives. A colonoscope, often known as a scope, is used to do the inspection. This long and flexible scope has a camera and the capacity to extract tissue (polyps). A colonoscopy is commonly used to assess gastrointestinal symptoms such as bleeding, abdominal pain, IBS, or bowel changes.
▶️ What preparations are required?
Your doctor will advise you as to what food limitations to follow and how to cleanse your bowels prior to the procedure. In general, the day before the procedure, you will limit your meals to clear liquids and consume either a significant volume of a specific cleansing solution or special oral laxatives. For the procedure to be precise and thorough, the colon must be entirely cleaned out, so be sure to follow your doctor's instructions.
▶️ During a colonoscopy, what happens?
Colonoscopy is a painless procedure that is well tolerated. An anesthesiologist will sedate you and you will not feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure. You'll lie on your side while your doctor examines the lining of your large intestine with a colonoscope. As the colonoscope is progressively withdrawn, your doctor will examine the lining once more. The procedure takes less than 30 minutes on average, but allow two to three hours total for waiting, preparation, and recovery. In certain circumstances, the doctor cannot pass the colonoscope through the entire colon to where it meets the small intestine. If additional testing is required, your doctor will let you know.

I’m 54 and will be having my first colonoscopy. This video was very very helpful
I’m very happy to know my video was useful for you. I hope your procedure goes smoothly as well.
Thanks for the video. I go tomorrow and I am doing same prep. I am 49 and had one in my early 30s. My wife recently passed away from cancer leaving 2 small children that i need to be around for. This video was extremely helpful. Btw i am starving .
So happy it helped. I’m sure your procedure will go smoothly.
Thank you so much for having the Guts to film your real life situation and talk about what is often awkward to talk about. Your video answers a lot of my questions and eased my mind on the unknowns about getting a colonoscopy, which is honestly the scariest part. It's very encouraging how quick and painless your procedure was. You got that done in just one morning and then go out to lunch with your bro too! Thanks for keeping it real!
I heard all these horror stories about the prep and the actual procedure, none of it came true. This was a very straightforward and simple medical procedure. I’m glad my video was informative! Thanks for watching!
@@LifewithSerg Yeah, don’t really know why some videos post how horrific it is. I mean it’s not fun but necessary. That’s why I posted my tips . Just had my colonoscopy on July 2. Hope it helps others
A colonoscopy can LITERALLY save someone's life! By giving this video a thumbs up and/or sharing it, you will help get it in front of someone who NEEDS to see it! Please feel free to ask me ANY questions about the procedure, I will answer them all.
UPDATE 2/16: Doctor called and told me the two polyps were benign so the only thing I have to do is come back in 5 years for another one. Phew... what a relief!
Hi,am latha
Recently I had colonoscopy still am 34 only doctor found one precancerous polyp so scared can u tell me how to get reduce depression
@@lathaperi9822 so what you had is an adenoma. I had two benign polyps (adenomas) removed. The doctor told me to come back in 5 years. I would recommend not worrying too much, but I am NOT a medical health professional. If it causes you a lot of stress, consider talking to your doctor, or even possibly a therapist. I hope you get this resolved and continue your happy life as usual!
@@lathaperi9822 Don’t freak out. It’s the same if you go to a Dermo yearly for check ups. If they see something pre- ca they remove it. Don’t overthink. Be thankful they are able to do this medically. You will be just fine. PROMISE
I am 58 and been avoiding a colonoscopy for years. I am a medical procedure chicken. Its nice to see a video that's not a horror story. I am a little freaked out with so many so I am encouraged by your video Thank You!
Hi Jeff! One of the main reasons I made this video was because I didn’t see any down to earth clear videos about this whole procedure. It really was very simple. I’m very glad to know that you found this video useful.
I get you. I'm a chicken for medical procedures as well but I'm having one in a couple of days. I've finally come to terms with it.
Totally I’m a little nervous… but getting it done tomorrow. Hope you get your colonoscopy done..please look at all videos the week before getting your procedure. So you don’t eat high fiber food/seeds …check that info out.
I am afraid to go to sleep and never wake up and having something up my ass. What if it hurts ? Lol
Oh, good grief. Get your colonoscopy! It is easy peasy!!!! You will be under and awake before you know it. My dad and a best friend died from colon cancer. very very preventabl!!!! Just DO IT!!! XX
Thumbs up for sharing your experience. I had one when I was around 8 years old and it left a bad childhood memory for me. I had my first colonoscopy as an adult two weeks ago. I'm 55. Knew in the back of my head it's something I needed to do, but I'm squeemish around doctors and never go unless something is wrong with me. Anyway I'm so glad I had mine done because they found polyps that I'm glad they got! Anyone that reads this that is on the fence about getting one do it ASAP! You'll be so glad you did it when it's over.
Yes so important to get this done. Literally could be a life saver.
Best video I've seen on this subject so far. I have to get one In a few weeks and I was nervous as all hell. I will be having an endoscopy done at the same time so I'll be fully knocked out which is fine by me
Glad you found it useful! I’m sure your procedure will go over smoothly. Thanks for watching!
The prep today is much easier than it was ten years ago when I had my last colonoscopy. I like that sedative they give you through an IV port. You remember starting and next thing you know you are back in the recovery room. Very easy procedure.
The sedation was amazing. Propofol is a crazy drug. I felt so refreshed when I woke up and the whole nexts at as well.
Congratulations on getting your procedure done. I am 72 and I've had three colonoscopies all of which I did drug-free. I told him just to talk to me and let me watch the screen and I would be fine. In October of 2021 I had my third colonoscopy, I also had my first endoscopy which I also did wide awake and drug-free. I can tell you the nurses and the recovery room were astounded that I did them without drugs. If I have another one in 5 years I will also do it drug free.
Wow! I can’t imagine having it done without sedation Robert. You’re a trooper. Very impressive sir! Thank you for watching and wishing you the best of health!
@@LifewithSerg ex Navy corpsman. I just told myself if something large could come out of that end I could relax enough so something large could go back in.
Lol. I admire your ability to be able to do that awake. Thank you for your service sir!
I think it's more common perhaps in some other countries but I am unable to relax for a digital exam and find even those physically uncomfortable. I had my first ten years ago and don't recall it. Second one tommorow...
Great video. Helps me and probably a lot of others be a little less anxious about the procedure. Hope those polyps were benign! Thanks!
This is exactly why I made this video. Glad it helps. Yep, they were benign.
Thanks for taken us through this proces. Hopefully I will have a simulair experience!
I’m glad you found the information useful. It really was a very straightforward and simple process. Thanks for watching!
I’m having my colonoscopy in 4 days..thanks for taking the time to make this video. It definitely helped me be not so nervous on what’s to come and how important it is to have done.
I hope your colonoscopy goes smoothly. It was very simple for me, and I absolutely loved the after effects of Propofol. I had so much energy for the next two days! 😂
@@LifewithSerg I will definitely need that having it done 2 days before Christmas 😂
Well, you’ll definitely be feeling pretty good after it. I have so much energy for the next two days. It was great!
Thank you so much you kept it short and simple as this is my first one and I'm anxious I have mine tomorrow I'm fasting now so clear fluids and start my drinks at 7pm glad all went well for you too
Was a total breeze for me. Hope yours goes as smoothly Gina! 😊👍
thank you for such a reassuring video! i have one scheduled for this month and i am absolutely terrified, not so much of the procedure but of the prep poisoning me! i super worried about dehydration etc but you made everything look smooth and simple. ill prob vlog mine too and be honest like you🙂
Yeah I kept hearing how the prep was the worst part. For me, it was super simple. Glad my video was useful! I’m sure you’re will go smoothly.
I am now in Thailand and will be posting videos soon. Follow along if you’re interested.
I love that you kept the video so funny rather than all too serious, that really cheered me up a little. I'm super scared of doctors but as fate decided I have to have a colonoscopy soon and I'm already having nightmares about it. Maybe a little tip for everyone else, I have a necklace as a lucky charm that I'll wear during the prep (I can't wear it during the procedure but I'll just give it to whoever is waiting outside for me on that day so it can still work it's magic ;) Maybe you consider taking one with you, too)
It really was very simple and straightforward. The worst part was just drinking all that liquid and having to purge. Don’t worry about it. This is a very simple procedure.
Thanks for the video! I feel much less scared of having this done now!
Glad my video has calmed your fears.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Absolutely, I hope this helps people understand it’s not that complicated but it’s very necessary.
Great video! Thank you for sharing! I get mine done next Friday kinda of nervous a bit is my first time 😉
Hi Liz. I realize that everyone’s experience will be different, but mine was such a breeze. I had a little bit of stomach cramping and a little bit of blood in my stool for about 24 hours afterwards, but that is quite normal
Thank for the video haveing one right after Thanksgiving was feeling scard but after yr videos I feeling better
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much get me felling good to doing this procedure next Monday I was scared but after I saw your video give to my positive energy to be ready to (just do it)😅😅
thanks again 👍
I’m so happy this video Health! That is the main reason I made it, so other people would feel more comfortable about this procedure. I’m sure it will go smoothly for you.
Thanks. Liked your experience video. The rumors I think scare the heck out of everyone. The timing is the worst part for me. Thanks.
Yes, I heard all the rumors as well. It was a very simple procedure in the end. No pun intended.🤣😂
We go from 'Pistons at the Park Car Meet" to a colonoscopy. Made me think of the old Monty Python line, "And now for something completely different".
You have the unique ability to make them both interesting.
I will take that as a grand compliment. Thank you kind sir!
That's Serg for you ya!
Aww thanks!!
I recently had a colonoscpy I spent 45.00 on my prep from the drug store perception, I had no idea you could buy over the counter prep thx for sharing your journey appreciated 😊
Glad my video was helpful!
Hi Serg! I'm having a colonoscopy done tomorrow and your video was very helpful.
I’m glad the video was helpful Kevin. I really wanted to share this experience and let people know that it’s very straightforward. I hope it goes smoothly for you as well.
@@LifewithSerg - Hi Serg! I had my colonoscopy today. There were 5 small polyps found and removed. The doctor said they looked benign but will send them to the lab to make sure. It's such a relief to find out there was nothing serious going on in my colon! My doctor will let me know later when I should come back for the next colonoscopy based on the results of the polyp biopsies. Hopefully, it will be 7years or 10 years! I can't go through that laxative prep too soon.
That’s great news! Hopefully it will be 7-10, but even though they only found 2 benign ones on me, they said come back in 5 years.
Of all the videos that I have seen this one was one of the best ones tomorrow I have to go to mines I’m little bit nervous👍
It will be just fine Melisa. 😊 I was a bit nervous as well and it went very smoothly.
Loved this
Getting mine done tomorrow 😢
I’m sure it will go smoothly.
@@LifewithSerg it went great. Thanks
Great video. Wish you had discussed more of what you ate the day before during prep.
I ate very light meals.
@@LifewithSerg My prep says to not eat any food. Just broth and liquids.
@@jefft9893 you can eat a bit up till the day before, but only from the list.
I’m 21 and I gotta have it 3 days from now. My nerves are shot and I’m scared of the hospital and to make matters worse needles. I’m hoping that everything goes well for me as it did for you.
Just follow the prep instructions and it should be a breeze. The conscious sedation medication they give you, propofol, will make you feel like you’re on top of the world for about two days afterwards.
@@LifewithSerg No wonder M.J. liked it.
So how did it go?

I’m glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching Meghan!
Thanks for impormision and thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome.
I've been putting off the procedure for way too long. I found your video about a month ago and it really put my mind at ease. I was looking for a new GI today (didn't like bedside manner of two I've seen -wah-lol). I came back to your video today to get the prep method and noticed the facility you used. I'm in ATX! Do you mind me asking what physician you used? Thanks SO much for sharing this.
I’m glad you are finally going to go and get checked. His name is Dr. Rajesh Mehta. Best of luck.
You made that look so easy! My prep was miserable. My second bottle of Clenpiq refused to go down. Vomiting all night with no sleep. Queasy, dehydrated, and shaking the next day. The procedure was fine, though. No polyps and Dr said I was clear. I must have still had laxative in my system the day after as I was running to 🚽. No way will I take that much laxative next time. I’m smaller in stature and I don’t need it.
Yeah, I think it depends on your size. Sorry I didn’t go smoothly for you. Glad that everything was clear in the end.
Thanks for the info. Puts me at ease for my imminent colonoscopy.😯
Mine was extremely straightforward. I hope your experience is the same.
thank you so much, ive got one on saturday to test for chrons dsease and ulcerative colitis, and im feeling really nervous
Don’t feel nervous. It should be a breeze! Glad my video helped!

My pleasure!
I had the exact same prep a few weeks ago. It did take me about 3 days after the procedure before my “downloading” returned to normal.
Yah that sounds about right. Glad it went ok for you.
Your prep is way different than mine. But the video does help elógiate the dress prior to a medical procedure
Glad it helped.
I took the bus alone after my procedure last friday. Hehe. I got home safe.
Great. Yeah, it’s very straightforward.
Thanks for the video
Hope it was useful
It sure is useful
Bottoms up!!
Lol. Not quite as good as a Corpse Reviver #2. 😉
@@LifewithSerg Bwhahahha Nice one!!
I've had 3 Colonoscopies and I'm 69. The hardest part is the prep and being sooo darn hungry! The test is easy as pie and the sedative is propofol. They usually put it in my line when I talk too much! Lol!
Yah the prep is the worst part.
Hey :) I commented on this video last year but I remembered this video & came back to say that I went through my colonoscopy last summer. I'm from Germany so my prep was a little different as I was only allowed to mix mine with water. What did help a lot though was applejuce. I held my glass with the prep in my right hand and a glass of applejuice in my left hand. Then I'd take a breath, take a sip of the prep, swallow it, and then immediately take a sip of the applejuice without having to put it down and grab the other glass first. I must have looked real stupid but it did help the taste so it didn't matter how I looked, at least I got it down. Maybe that'll help some of you, too!
I only had to drink 500ml in the evening and 500 in the morning, though but it still took me about 4 hours to down the first 500 so I was sure to start earlier than the packaging said in the morning to I finish it on time.
One thing I wish I knew is that it's either all or nothing, you can't really go back after starting to take the prep so you have to push through! But if I made it then you'll make it as well :D
Wow. Thats quite the ordeal. Glad it’s over for you.
Had mine so damn happy that I don’t go back for tens years!
That’s great!
I found when I stopped drinking water or Gatorade I no longer had to go to the bathroom but I took 12 pills and 6 hrs later I took 12 more large pills with Gatorade. Unfortunately I have to go in again. My first time was in a clinic and a few are to big so I need to have it done in a real hospital Tuesday. They got me taken the same stuff you did so I hope it doesn’t keep me up all night. I’m having it done twice in ten days. I had two small ones removed and I felt fine when I woke up. 7 hrs later I took a long walk with a friend.
Nice review!
Wow, twice in 10 days. I hope the second time goes just a smoothly and they don’t find anything else.
@@LifewithSerg thank you. For those who may find this confusing there’s SUTAB and the nurse said it cost a hundred but I paid forty. There big pills and I took 24. I’m thinking since Miralax has no taste and both methods require me to drink a lot of water or sugar free Gatorade I’m thinking your way in the video is going to be better especially if you have a hard time swallowing large pills. I’m supposed to take 4 Dulcolax at 3pm and drink the miralax at 6pm. Doctors instructions can be confusing but your video helped a lot. Made it easy to understand. So thanks again
Let me tell you, the MiraLAX absolutely did its job! LOL I think it took about two or three hours for it to work for me, but once it started working it worked like it’s supposed to.
@@LifewithSerg The second time they removed 2 15mm size polyps and they showed cancer. I was told I have colon cancer. They want to remove the section of colon but it’s a 3 hr surgery and there worried about sedating me that long. I just had my gallbladder out last week. I’m falling apart.
Now they’ve canceled the CT scan due to labor shortage.
Hey I’m very sorry to hear all of that. You’re not falling apart. It’s just life’s challenges. You’ll get through this!
I’m doing the same prep I’m so thankful for this video I have extreme anxiety about it, everyone makes it seem so so scary and I have emetaphobia ( fear of vomiting ) so thankful for this . Do you just drink every 15 minutes until it’s gone ?
Your doctor will give you instructions on how often to drink it. I’m not sure what prep your doctor will give you, so I don’t wanna give you medical advice on that end. However, as you can see from my video, I had a very easy time with this. Glad my video helped you!
@@LifewithSerg getting the same miralax prep
Then I think I mentioned in the video that I was doing it every 15 or 20 minutes. Sorry I just don’t recall.
Thank you so much for sharing. The miralax/gatorade prep is way easier than the Golytely jug. Which from experience is way more effective. What type of polyps and size did they find?
Oh man this was 2 years ago so I don’t recall the type and size off the top of my head, but it was all ok.
@@LifewithSergok glad to hear
Colonoscopies are simple procedures. It’s as simple as what is stated in this video with Serg. I was anxious but was anxious for no reason at all. 🤷♂️
I was definitely a little bit anxious as well, but as you have no experience yourself, it’s very straightforward.
Doing prep now, a breeze, apple juice, banana flavoured popsicles, ginger ale, chicken and beef broth, light coloured jello and black tea and coffee, it’s a good idea to apply bit of Vaseline to bottom with a tissue after each bowel movement. Stay hydrated as it will help with your IV start. Only take the meds they permit. You need special instructions when it comes to diabetic, blood thinners and some blood pressure meds. Make sure someone is driving you home! BTW those wipes are not flushable
Thanks for watching.
Having my first colonoscopy at 33 on Friday, trying to determine if I have GI issues or endometriosis. The hardest part for me is the fact that I hate yellow Gatorade lol.
Ok that’s funny AF, cause yellow Gatorade is the worst. I hated drinking all that. Gatorade Blue for the win. Hope the colonoscopy goes smoothly. 💙
Had to receive 3 units (Pints) of blood to compensate for the Colonoscopy procedure. It took 2 months to get my Hemoglobin up to 13.6. I don't blame the procedure; it was the person performing the procedure. The hospital ended up not charging me for the procedure ($2,000+).
Oh so sorry to hear yours did not go well
I try and watch these colonoscopy videos to make me feel better as I need one but I bottle out of it. Unfortunately here in the UK, they don't put you to sleep .
Well I wasn’t asleep. It’s conscious sedation.
Useful video. Were you given sedatives ? If no, how did it feel ?
I did mention in the video that I was given sedatives. Propofol. Man that was the best thing in the world. When they released me, it gave me so much energy for like the next two days. Now I understand why Michael Jackson was abusing it.
@@LifewithSerg
Amazing that you still reply to comments after 2 years of this video !
I had it around 2 weeks ago too.. the procedure itself is not a big deal.. but the preparation and forcing yourself to drink litres of laxative with 10-15 min breaks is annoying..
Yeah the prep kinda sucks, but overall I thought it was pretty simple procedure. Now I know what to expect when I go for my next one in 5 years.
Dose 1 taken a couple hours ago, fun fun fun! Dose 2 at 2am and have to be at the hospital for 6:45am 😴
Enjoy! Should go smoothly for you.
@@LifewithSergthank you!
You can get dehyrated frim going to the bathroom 15 rimes to. Have to keep hydrated.
Yep
I have already experienced the joy of a colonoscopy! The worst part of it, was checking into the facility, and waiting for butt experts. Lol
I did learn, next time I will not have any broth, it only made me run to the toilet. I did enjoy the pineapple jello. I will do the jello again!!
Pineapple jello, is like a ray of sunshine, when something is going to be inserted, where the sun doesn’t shine.
Lolll. Too funny.
I was prescribed the 4 liter jug of prep. YUCK!!! I finally figured out to use 4 liters of no sugar Black Cherry Powerade (this is clear, no color). Divide the 235g of Miralax evenly between the bottles of Powerade. The I drank the liquid as directed by the doctor's instructions. No nasty prep taste.
Yeah the MiraLAX was totally tasteless. Sounds like you figured out a good solution for yourself.
Thank you
Hope you found it useful.
I'm also getting ready to do my first colonoscopy. I am 39 yrs old and decided its a good time before turning 40. But I decided I will not get anesthesia during process.
Oooof. Without anesthesia 😳. I hope it goes smoothly.
I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy tomorrow, although I'm in my 20's, because I have POTS, which is a form of dysautonomia, which impacts the autonomic nervous system. It does include digestive issues, and acid reflux, so I'm going through the prep, and I'm struggling a lot. The prep is disgusting, and I've been sick a few times. Oh god no! Propofol is the drug they use to put you into what’s referred to as “twilight sedation”. I woke up feeling completely refreshed and had so much energy for the next three days, it was great!
It’s called conscious sedation. You won’t be sedated enough for a breathing tube and if they talk to you you’ll be coherent enough to respond but you’ll be in another dimension. You won’t remember anything. It wears off fast after the procedure too.
I find the worst part of a colonoscopy is the prep.
You know that’s exactly what I had read. To be honest it was super simple. Thanks for watching!
The prep was horrible, tasted like soap, salt and grape couch syrup! The Propofol made me confused for two days! Not fun.
Sorry your experience was not good
Getting on tuesday morning...no choice just do it so your mind will rest. Look the stuff that comes out of your butt is thicker than the stuff they use to go in you lol
Also this video helped
I hope it goes smoothly for you!
Colonoscopies are unpleasant at best. I’ve had two in my life the second one most recently while the first one was twenty years ago. Never another. The drugs to provide comfort during the procedure I found unnerving. I was fully awake for the first one. I do not appreciate having blocks of my memory eliminated by these nasty drugs (propofol) used to induce sedation and block memory. The entire process is barbaric.
Sorry you had a bad experience. I loved how the Propofol made me feel.
Miralax has no flavor so if u like Gatorade, it’ll taste the same.
Yeah it tastes ok.
Wow- they gave me a HUGE jug that’s way bigger than that!! Whew, I tried and i CANT seem to drink it all… I didn’t eat that much within the last two days so I’m praying 🙏 whatever i drank is ENOUGH… in Jesus Christ mighty name!!
You’ll be ok.
@@LifewithSerg Say a prayer 🙏 that they wont have to reschedule me once they put me under- Im sitting here staring at half the jug😫😫 I cannot drink another sip
I didn’t have to wear a mask
This video was recorded during the pandemic. Hence the mask.
The prep is the worst part of the whole thing. The actual procedure is a breeze.
You know that’s what I heard as well. My prep was super simple. I know some folks have issues with the prep, but mine was super smooth. That’s one of the reasons I made this video, to show people that it’s not a big deal.
TMAI (Too Much Awful Information) 🤮
Yet you watched it. Lol
I just had my Colonoscopy on 6-2-24
Tips:
Follow the directions they give you!!!
I had Golytely so this prep was lemon- lime flavored and split into 2 doses ( mark the container at 1/2 point)
Get sour Gummy Bears ( remove the RED/BLUE ones!! colors can show up as blood) and Lemon drops. You are allowed to have these.
Pour solution over ICE- (these solutions can taste salty ) pop one or two of the candies and start to drink solution.
Drink solution through a STRAW.
I found Gatorade to be gross ( worse than the prep! So I omitted drinking it.)
It took 1 1/2 hours to drink 1/2 the solution . About an hour later the party started!!
Get Aloe wipes to wipe each time you use the toilet. Do NOT use toilet paper!!
Have vaseline or
Prep H and apply after you wipe.
Wear an Adult Depends- added security . Not fun to walk FAST due the Urgency 💩💩💩
So now the party starts. On this specific solution you are up the entire night. Get some good reading material or movies 🍿
They give you “twilight “ sedation . You do not go under general anesthesia. They put an oxygen cannula (under your nose and the tubing goes behind your ears to hold in place.) A warm blanket is given to you and it feels great! You are told to take slow deep breaths through your nose. I remember taking 3 breaths and was OUT!! You’re a bit groggy when you wake and about 30 mins later you’re fine.
The Dr will come to see you before and after procedure. I had “ a tiny 4 mm polyp otherwise all clear.” He was not concerned .
Good luck! It’s really not that bad. 🎉💩🎉💩🎉💩🎉💩🎉💩🤣😂
