The ones in Stormwind and Orgrimmar are Herald of the Lich King, rather than the Lich King himself - just incase anyone wondered why they sounded different. I remember the event happening :D
From this audio, specifically regarding Shamanism, it shows that The Lich King was a combination of both Ner'Zhul and Arthas and not the crap shit that the book gave us, where Arthas killed Ner'Zhul.
no it means exactly what bravowing said. Considering during the frost dk artifact quest ner'zhul is alive and well in frostmourne torturing arthas, business as usual.
In the book Arthas didn't kill Ner'zul physically, he kind of killed his spirit stating that all the powers of the lich king is his, he also killed his good side which appeared as the sick blonde boy
Artin A That is still nonsensical, since, from the audio, we clearly hear the Lich King saying he was a shaman once. This mean the Arthas and Ner'Zhul were one, exactly as we also see at the last Frozen Throne cinematic. The book states that there were two being struggling for control, this does not imply oneness.
"Do you feel it mortal? Death SEEPS through me, enveloping all that I touch. With just a snap of my finger, your soul will anguish in damnation for all of eternity!" epic like when Mephisto helps Diablo get his true form back in the cinematic hehe, but not quite :)
It is after all a mix of Ner'zhul, the literal 'Core' of the Lich King's very being. He was fused with the entity itself, and was the first 'disembodied host' of the Lich King, and Arthas was the second, living, then undead, host, who took over in terms of personality, banishing Ner'zhul's mind into the helm and/or sword, but Ner'zhul is always going to be a combination of everyone that becomes the Lich King - hence why Bolvar refers to the Burning Legion as his enemies - but that is specifically Ner'zhul's enemies. So it is a mix of the minds that are or have been the dominating persona of the Lich King. Or at least, until Shadowlands destroyed most of the entire establishes Warcraft Lore because of a crap writer with a crush on an undead banshee. God, what an atrocious expansion...
Michael McConnohie FTW! That guy's been doing legendary voice-over work since the 80s. I know him best as the voice of Cross Country from the original 80s GI Joe cartoon as well as Tracks & Cosmos from the original Transformers animated series as well. My brother would know him best as the voice of Warriv from Diablo II as well as Uther the Lightbringer and Kel'thuzad from Warcraft III.
LOL i remember the first time i heard 2:29 after he killed Drakuru, when he said"as for you!..." i was like" *gulp* mommy? O.O" xD. But man...he sounds scary when he is screaming/mad,
I love how there are parts where Arthas's original voice becomes more present, or that's just me being hopeful that Bliz didn't really use more voice actors for the same role?
Actually, if you miss the lich king at all, you have to miss BOTH Ner'zhul and Arthas, for it was Arthas' body, experience, and personality, and Ner'zhul's power and evil that made who we knew as the lich king during wrath.
I have read the book (which is AWESOME) and i think that Chris metzen and other employees said it's "canon" and official. And Arthas voice being wierd here is because he have godlike powers now so his voice have changed. His voice have become "empowered" so to speak.
Robert Gagu I dont think so,Bolvar was never broke, since he never surrendered to the lich king's will,The Lich King is talking about Arthas, how he broke him so they can become 1.
He seems like some form of a evil spirit now, he teleports around Northrend, and his voice is starting to sound extremly unholy at the end, especially at the end its as if his body is losing control of the power and its seeping out of his body.
I think that Arthas has slain Ner'zhul at the ice tomb in Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, BUT if Arthas was angry or he felt he was in danger, Ner'zhul became the LK for that moment
@@brightestlight9462 in the book Rise Of The Lich King he destroyed Ner'zhul's spirit. After then everyone questioned if that's canon. Sorry my english is bad :P
yes, I did, and his spirit is pretty much gone, yeah, but it has been absorbed into Arthas' spirit...so in a sense he still exists but cant do shit besides give Arthas his memories/powers
You heal a river of blood on a starting zone. The Horde / Alliance enslave Pandaren children. Garrosh uses the manifestations of negative emotions, servants of the old gods, on his own soldiers. You know, for kids. -_-
"The Nerubians built an empire beneath the frozen wastes of Northrend..." Grizzly Hills, Shalazar Basin, and Howling Fjord don't look like frozen wastes to me...
No the lich king was created by kill'jadan and put Ner'zul inside the litch king armor than Ner'zul asked Arthas to free him from Ice than Arthas placed the lich king's crown on his head than Ner'zul and Arthas became one
They changed actors back to the one they had for Warcraft III, hence why you hear the difference. I guess the old one was more iconic or they were finally able to strike a deal with him, probably both.
The Scourge is the ultimate virus, if Arthas was jully under Ner'zuls control then the Alliance and Horde would be dead by now, he spares you heaps of times, so he's no YET under his control Arthas does learn from his mistakes aswell
I have read the book (which is AWESOME) and Arthas voice sounds "weird" because he got godlike powers now so his voice is "empowered" in a kinda a way.
I think his voice in 6:13 is different because it was added on patch 3.2 as well as 7:28 when it was added on patch 3.3. Apparently it seems Blizz uses different voices effects on him now.
4:26 Just after, "I... was once a shaman."
That's chilling as fuck.
i realize Im quite off topic but do anybody know a good place to stream new movies online?
@Cairo Cory Flixportal xD
@Ethan Marvin Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I really appreciate it !!
@Cairo Cory happy to help :)
reason for that line is becouse first lich king wase orc called nerzhul who wase shaman
His voice is chilling enough when he's speaking. When he's yelling? Goddamn that's terrifying.
" you think you can fool me!" that scared the shit out of me!
After 6:46 - "I will finish them... after I change my pants..." - Overthane Balargarde
The ones in Stormwind and Orgrimmar are Herald of the Lich King, rather than the Lich King himself - just incase anyone wondered why they sounded different. I remember the event happening :D
Omg..... When the lich king is pissed, his voice turns even MORE epic! I didnt think it was possible
6:11 OH MY GOD STAY WHERE YOU ARE AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA its so funny when i heard it but its not the real words
Sassy Lich King
*honor guard
xD
Lich King the raid leader
so funny
6:32 is where my crush for arthas originated all those years ago lmaoooo
Haha sexy AF lmao no homo
The Lich King's voice is what wet dreams are made of. His voice is just so damned awesome.
His voice is porn. 🌊 and 'I am pleased' OMFG
+Leonalda Sixkiller ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
his voice really did change over time. very cool to hear!
3:25 - FOR THE LICH KING'S GAYS ....
gaze*
the joke
your head
I see trought your disguise lady nightswood
YOU THINK YOU CAN FOOL ME?!?!?!
holy crap epic
From this audio, specifically regarding Shamanism, it shows that The Lich King was a combination of both Ner'Zhul and Arthas and not the crap shit that the book gave us, where Arthas killed Ner'Zhul.
+brav0wing It could easily mean a lot of things. For example he was once part of Ner'zhul and thus was once a shaman.
no it means exactly what bravowing said.

Wow goes against book a lot of times, enough for me to not even consider it canon anymore.
6:39 what I'll say to my kids when they're being too aggressive.
The Lich King’s quote at 1:00, always gives me chills. Best LK quote!
Some of these voices and stories in WoW makes kid players cry
1:55 I think that was Herald of the Lich King.
"Do you feel it mortal? Death SEEPS through me, enveloping all that I touch. With just a snap of my finger, your soul will anguish in damnation for all of eternity!" epic like when Mephisto helps Diablo get his true form back in the cinematic hehe, but not quite :)
I came looking for this just to HEAR him scream like that again, he sounds damn bad ass.
Shamanism brought you here, it's scent permeates the air. Huehuehmmm... I, was once a shaman.
I wanna know when in game happens this quote
It's from a quest line you pick up at the alliance starting place in Howling Fjord
Lich King has a badass voice. If you listen closely you can hear nerzul talk faintly before arthas speaks.^_^ So epic!
God, what an atrocious expansion...
I think he has the sexiest voice, I don't care what anyone thinks. It's eerily soothing, yet still powerful and masculine. Perfect.
Michael McConnohie is the voice actor. Pretty funny when you look at the dude, since he's this little old man.
DO NOT FAIL ME BALARGAAAAAAAARDE!!!!!
I miss you Arthas
Michael McConnohie FTW! That guy's been doing legendary voice-over work since the 80s. I always thought the lich king's voice had some serious editing done but it's actually mostly his own voice. That's some serious talent.
LOL i remember the first time i heard 2:29 after he killed Drakuru, when he said"as for you!..." i was like" *gulp* mommy? O.O" xD. But man...he sounds scary when he is screaming/mad,

"But nothing! Finish them! DO NOT FAIL ME BALAGARDE!!!"
I nearly crapped myself when I heard that in-game for the first time.
His voice during call of the crusade was the best one imo. It's so evil sounding
Lich King's voice at 6:10 is awesome,i wonder wh they changed it in ICC
When he shouts out to Orgrimmar & Stormwind, you can hear a lot more Ner'zhul in him.
seriously not kidding, from 6:11 it gaved me chills lol, specially with the speakers i have it sounds like that voice is everywere xD
0:54 is in Naxxramas at K'T fight
the line at 4:37 tells me that its ner'zhul and not arthas
arthas only being a host body for ner'zhul rather than a champion
Exactly. Psychology would be a thousand times less boring with a voice like that.
The light has abandoned you, just has it abandoned me
This voice worked so well.
Actually, if you miss the lich king at all, you have to miss BOTH Ner'zhul and Arthas, for it was Arthas' body, experience, and personality, and Ner'zhul's power and evil that made who we knew as the lich king during wrath.
6:48 I imagine how Arthas is sitting in his throne and hits the right side with his hand and makes a small frost nova :X:X:X
Good God man if I could talk like that at any given time, maybe even have the smokey eye effect, I could get anything I want.
It sounds like his voice is starting to shatter.
I love Nerzhuls voice in the background, its Arthas + nerzhul's voice combined.
6:28
Yes
Boss of Avernus Is this in the game?
***** All of these lines are in the game
nice ":)
*shits pants*
I have read the book (which is AWESOME) and i think that Chris metzen and other employees said it's "canon" and official.
And Arthas voice being wierd here is because he have godlike powers now so his voice have changed. His voice have become "empowered" so to speak.
Whoa... he sounds scarier and more menacing with each part, can't wait to hear the Icecrown sounds when they make it.
4:35 that is the most badass laugh ever!
if lich king doesn't sound bad ass then there is NO ONE that does.
he talks about how much power they will have together and arthas says noone tells me what to do and kills ner'zhul its all arthas now
""I will break you ass i broke him"" No arthas here.
He's referring to Saurfang Jr
Saurfang had his soul taken, nothing to break he was turned into a deathknight/the deathbringer, when he is killed he says i have bin released.
+Angel Kirov He was actually refering to Bolvar Fordragon
Robert Gagu I dont think so,Bolvar was never broke, since he never surrendered to the lich king's will,The Lich King is talking about Arthas, how he broke him so they can become 1.
+Angel Kirov Saurfang Jr aye, when you fight Yogg Saron, lk and bolvar appears and he says the line with the appearance of Saurfang Jr.
I see through your disguise, Lady Nightswood.. YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN FOOL ME???
Best. Line. Evar. Love it.
fuck he sounds perfect.
holy crap the Lady Nightswood part scared the hell outta me.
Didn't know the LK could get so angry.
his voice is so damn sexy
In the raid, Trial of the Crusader, he comes after the Twin Val'kyr and breaks the floor to allow access to Anub'arak.
The last part of this scares mee...
I, was once, a shaman, powerful...
That sounds exactly like Ner'zhul at the end.
@HikaruIrving Yes he was, Since Ner'Zhul is the Lich King, who was a Orcish Shaman before he was corrupted by the Burning Legion :3
The new voice scares me... ._.
+Máté Szűcs no..they merged into one being. remember...
"Now...we...are one."
@@brightestlight9462 in the book Rise Of The Lich King he destroyed Ner'zhul's spirit. After then everyone questioned if that's canon. Sorry my english is bad :P
amazing upload !
@Hejzwej Arthas is still there, he's all thats left to hold back the Scourge.
I totally wish this was my voice...
hes not dead, just suppresed
@EllkameRulesRogues
In the book Arthas, Rise of the Lich King, it says his soul was one with Ner'zul.
So that might be why maybe?
yes, I did, and his spirit is pretty much gone, yeah, but it has been absorbed into Arthas' spirit...so in a sense he still exists but cant do shit besides give Arthas his memories/powers
The lich kings voice sounds better in the wrath of the lich king trailer then the present it voice tbh it sound like he has a saw throat.
You heal a river of blood on a starting zone.
The Horde / Alliance enslave Pandaren children.
Garrosh uses the manifestations of negative emotions, servants of the old gods, on his own soldiers.
You know, for kids. -_-
"The Nerubians built an empire beneath the frozen wastes of Northrend..."

I love what you said 27Metaldragon! Exactly!
The Lich King was created from Arthas ( Paladin ) and Nerz'hul, who was a shaman.
No the lich king was created by kill'jadan and put Ner'zul inside the litch king armor than Ner'zul asked Arthas to free him from Ice than Arthas placed the lich king's crown on his head than Ner'zul and Arthas became one
@AzariahKyras He was talking about Blood Prince Valanar, one of the San'layn. Kael'thas was dead by this point.
They changed actors back to the one they had for Warcraft III, hence why you hear the difference. I guess the old one was more iconic or they were finally able to strike a deal with him, probably both.
@Wulfik666 Arthas WAS a Paladin. But Ner'zhul (The Lich King) was a orc shaman turned to become a warlock.
The Scourge is the ultimate virus, if Arthas was jully under Ner'zuls control then the Alliance and Horde would be dead by now, he spares you heaps of times, so he's no YET under his control
Arthas does learn from his mistakes aswell
6:27 I think he saw us. OH SHIT
Its just Arthas now as said in the Rise of the Lich king Book Arthas got rid of Ner'zhul in his mind
@Vekkuza no hes not controled by ner zul! the lich king is his own person he comsumed the orc and arthas
Ner"zhul took over Arthas imo, just listen to the last 2 mins!
During the quest "Banshee's Revenge" in Icecrown.
sheeeesh! i dont want to to piss him off!
Damn, his voice is getting darker and darker, i rly like the one in TotC
From the quest "Banshee's Revenge."
It's an awesome quest line as well
I think as the game progresses, ner'zhul is getting stronger, which explains why the lich king sounds all orcish now...
@nerdftw1 Apparently, Arthas was voiced over by the same guy who voiced over Kel'Thuzad, the paladin, and Uther Lightbringer in "Warcraft III".
if you read again that arthas took ner zhul memory
and his power so ner zhul becomed part of arthas
I have read the book (which is AWESOME) and Arthas voice sounds "weird" because he got godlike powers now so his voice is "empowered" in a kinda a way.
Bow before the lich king! For the scourge!
6:48 oh shitz LK is mad 0.0
I think his voice in 6:13 is different because it was added on patch 3.2 as well as 7:28 when it was added on patch 3.3. Apparently it seems Blizz uses different voices effects on him now.
@avataroftzeentch Yeah... he gets pissed in the quest 'Banshee's Revenge'... >.>
@ dinos86senior its actually nerzhul speaking in org and stormwind he says my minions are hungry
It's just Arthas now.
4:25 Where can I hear this quote in game?
Quest chain in Icecrown, you fight on top of Balargarde keep.
6:28 to 6:38 and 6:46 to 6:54 are the best parts
