I regret not getting my dad into games. I think he would have loved to watch me play something like Red Dead. He was a huge western fan, was actually a ranch hand and did cattle runs in his teens.
He taught me a lot. Running chainsaws, forest health, fire mitigation. He gave me the skills to go into a profession where I feel good about what i do. My biggest regret was a lack of shared interests that stemmed from my hobbies. He always supported them though. Hell I had to pick up sticks for video games if it wasn't my birthday or Christmas. But he would always be ready to go with me to pick out my payment.

The meaning of life is our relationship with God. These four steps are the key to getting a Divine Revelation directly from him. They are something you'd eventually do if you took God seriously enough to read the Bible, while implementing its teachings. They are, forgive your parents, break down before Jesus, ask for forgiveness, and read three books of the Bible. Step four requires the first book of each testament, and one you chose yourself. The order is actually important. The steps build on each other. Each one primes your soul for the next. To be forgiven we must forgive. Mathew 6: 14-15. That's why forgiving others has to come before asking for forgiveness. Jesus will not forgive you until you've at least done the bare minimum, our parents. They're supposed to be easiest to forgive, because they've fed, housed, loved us to some degree. Our problems with them are supposed to represent our problems with God. This is why the bare minimum to receive the revelation is our parents. You'll still have to forgive everyone though, but that comes much easier after meeting God. I'm extremely serious and very literal. I'm not talking about signs, nor feelings, nor prayer. It's an actual literal pulled out of your body direct one on one conversation, nothing you can miss. nor misinterpretae. The vast majority of christans never bother to do what God wants seriously, so most never get this revelation. To most outside church their Bible is a paper weight, or at best a virtue signal. Their religion is in what other people think about them, not their relationship with God. Please do those steps I mentioned, there really is a Divine Revelation waiting for all of us. There's extraordinarlly important information we all desperately need in this revelation, but those who get it are forbidden to share it. The Truth that Jesus Christ is Lord is written on every human heart. We all have that knowledge inside us, but we bury it under mountains of pain and anger. Those steps clear away that garbage inside you, letting God heal you, so that his words boom clearly inside your soul. The entire point of our existence here is to Trust God enough that we pay him this mustard seed of Faith, so his Grace can remove the stain sin has left on our souls. Everyone that does not get this Grace is not forgiven of any of their sins, even if they turned around and we're the best person from 25 to death. Without Grace those first sins are still counted against you, tying you to the devil's punishment. It's not about being a good person, It's about being forgiven for when you weren't. The Bible is Truth. Please do those steps and see for yourself. Please take your salvation seriously

What's supposed to be the point of the Triffix?
    Why the stubby handle?
It goes against everything that makes hatchets, axes and hammers work - the greater the length of the shaft handle, the easier the work should be - within reason of course.

    • @anhatur

But if you ask "does it have a market?" the answer is "Yes".
People who has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a cabin up in the alps (or wherever it is) and has plenty of money to spare from their job in the city, but is a complete noob when it comes to making kindling.
They buy their firewood, that's not really a problem to them. But how do you succeed in making a cozy fire in your cabin if you can't cut kindling?
It's a small market but if you're in the market of hand forged axes that may be the niche you need.

    • @lostpyper6973

I believe it is made for when you are sitting directly in front of your woodstove, and need to turn some split logs into Quick kindling on the spot or on the Fly... the concept of a tiny handle for indoor use is not a bad one... But the price is a bit extreme. That being said, it was definitely beautifully-crafted and I could not make it any cheaper if I was making my typical hourly wage

      @ianmacfarlane1241 4 года назад

      @@anhatur & @lost paper
I understand what both of you are saying, and I'm sure that it will sell to a particular market given that it's an interesting design and apparently well made.
However, it has always been my understanding that the handle/shaft acts as a force multiplier, and that the axe/hatchet head will be most efficient within a certain range of lengths - too long or too short and it becomes inefficient.
If more control is required it's always possible to 'choke up' on the shaft, shortening the overall length, but with this thing you're very much restricted to use it in a specific way, which seems somewhat pointless.
Perhaps I'm being too closed-minded and it's not aimed at me - I'm not spending $160 on a hatchet/splitter, though I might if I was for more financially solvent.
Anyway, thank you both for your interesting perspectives on the Triffix.
      Take care ✌️

i get what you're saying here and working men are often utilitarian in the way they approach things, tools doubly so...but as someone else said, if you got all of the money in the world it wouldn't be a bad idea to have something like this next to the fireplace since it is small and takes up little room....i'm with you though, i'd rather just have a proper splitting hatchet....and i do....a 4lb head i put on a short pine handle i cut out...only cost me $5 for the yard sale head and my time for the handle...which is time i enjoy spending.

The thing in this video is not what you said about parenting, but you showed and i think its great, you got out comfort zone and putting in effort to be close with your son and share his life with him. The design is pretty much around the ability to "pull" down on the wood, especially after digging into a long, and just hammering it on the ground or where your splitting to send the axe head through. The usual right angled handle doesn't quite let you do that. Relying more on your wrists ability to stay, and not bend.
