Where to find it?
How To Frame a Shed
To frame the new barn, Tom and the rest of the team used a combination of 2x4” stock framing lumber [thd.co/3oG2R2j] for the studs and 2x6” stock framing lumber [thd.co/3FqVnal] for the roof rafters. To secure the boards together, the team used a variety of framing nails with a nail gun. All of these items can be found at home centers and lumberyards.

How To Install a Utility Sink in a Barn
Richard installed a Utilatub Combo 20x24” Thermoplastic Floor Mount Laundry Tub [thd.co/3kNSmJq]. The kit comes with the water supply and drain lines required to hook up to the water supply. The utility sink kit is manufactured by MUSTEE [mustee.com/].
To connect the sink to Mark’s existing lines, Richard used a roll of polyethylene tubing and various fittings found at home centers and plumbing supply houses.
Due to the planned usage for the sink, Richard opted to use a dry well system rather than connect it to a drain line. He and Mark installed a 12x12” Drainage Catch Basin [thd.co/3cnI6mz] manufactured by NDS [www.ndspro.com/]. Below and around the hole, Mark filled in with crushed stone found at home centers and landscape supply stores.

"If you're a chicken I'm passing on the eggs" 😂
Man sure is awesome to help one of your own , great job guys , good friends are certainly one of life's great assets
Big lesson to be learned. Protect wiring with metal conduit or something that animals can’t chew on instead of rebuilding the entire house
16:45 This is the one you don’t want to lose… Seconds later proceeds to drop it on the floor.
Knowing this first, I then watched the video, along came the scene, it cracked me up 😂
You know, there is something to be said for people who defend and try to save animals like this at their own personal risk. Much respect Mark. I'm glad they all got out!
"You don't want to lose this gasket!" (Immediately loses gasket)
I'm sure it just fell on the floor, but I thought the same thing lol. I hope they could find it. 😅
@@kenmore01
"just fell on the floor,"
And rolled several feet away to fall conveniently underneath that pile of scrap they didn't throw away out of everyone's sight.
@@scotttovey Yeah, it's amazing how things seem to bounce far away and under the most inconvenient obstacle, isn't it?
@@kenmore01
It's not amazing when your the one looking for what you just dropped.
😏
Great job guys. This chicken palace looks gorgeous.
So great to see the whole team involved. Bravo.
What a blessing this coup is. I'd like one for my chickens. Actually I can use what you showed in a lot of places on my little farm
More videos like this please.
Doorjambs are awesome 😊
Great group project, love the show
You're looking great Kevin!
This coop looks beautiful but as someone who takes care of chickens I see a bunch of problems with some of the features. The doors are a bad choice for example - how are you keeping rodents and predators out with those doors? Also they didn't install a small door for when it's cold and you want the chickens to be able to come and go freely but don't want to keep the human doors open and let out all the heat inside, or for when it's stormy and you don't want a bunch of rain inside your coop. Plus, assume anything inside the coop will get pooped on. A sink is a nice idea but it's going to get pooped on and in a LOT. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a nest in the winter when it's not being used :) Posting this here for anyone who might want to copy this design as there are already a few people in the comments.
I have a question about the sliding door. Specifically where the basin drain exits. In the video, when the doors are installed, the drain is not plumbed. How was the drain plumbed to clear the sliding door?
And how do you keep mice out of a sliding door? I wanted to have that on my shed but I definitely have mice to consider.
9:16 I hope he meant "code compliant." 😂
Whole crew together.
Wow that’s a nice little chicken coop. Good job.
Mark's looking good these days.. nice.
No handles on the doors? Also seems weird to choose a faucet that specifically has both hot/cold knobs instead of one of the single knob/lever varieties. All looks good though, just got to wall off that sink or it will be full of poop and eggs in days lol
We’ve gotta see the chickens return home! Pretty please!
Raise a barn on Monday, soon I raise another
Think you're really righteous? Think you're pure of heart?
@@2xManyHobbies Well, I know I'm a million times as humble as thou art
I'm the pious guy the little amlettes wanna be like

The jigsaw work on that door frame!
Gentlemen,
Without some wiring as a wall barrier around it, that sink is gojng to make a fancy chicken nest! 🪺
That is the best chicken coop I've ever seen. It would have been great to see the chicken's in their new house
so.. where do we get the plans for this barn?? nice job
A vacuum breaker isn’t rated for below grade like that. Could become submerged. If he was watering his garden he needed at minimum a double check valve if it’s lowwww hazard but most places irrigation is a rpz
I am so grateful the chickens survived! :D
Unfortunately the ones at KFC didn't.
@@2loco lmao
They were delicious
amazing
Nice barn!
Awesome work on the chicken coop! I just wish that you didn't ruin the charm of the barn with that dreaded paintjob.
You couldn’t paint the whole side of a barn looser!
Yeah, same thought here. Just stain it and call it good
That mason does look like Gus Fring.😂😂
Look at me, Hector.
"this is the gasket you don't want to lose" yeets it onto the ground 10 seconds later
Lots of place in the attic, for storage?
How do I find an episode that featured my home in Birmingham, AL?
GOOD PEOPLE, HELPING GOOD PEOPLE 👍 ❤😊
i loved this show ❤️
More like chicken mansion! haha
Now all I need is seven building-trade expert friends and several thousand dollars.
Repeat episode! 🥱
They said Chicken coop is too easy, build this man a chicken home.
Screw the chickens, you could rent that out for $4k a month
With chickens as co-inhabitants.
Love the hat, Tommy! WTF!!
Yes Richard haven’t left the team
A squatter will probably move in by tomorrow. Good luck kicking them out.
I would have brought a bucket of fried chicken for dinner.
"Gonna keep the rodents out this time" 4:31 We'll see about that.....🐀🐀🐀🐀
I don’t think that they can with a sliding door like that? Anyone suggestions? Maybe that’s a dumb question!
@@ggreensuper1256I don't see how it is possible. We don't have chicken coops in my neighborhood but we do have plenty of all-season bird feeders. Any unlimited supply of food will eventually attract the wrong type of rodent and that becomes a problem for everyone in the area. 🤨
Lol trap on the sink
Was thinking the same thing, it serves no purpose in this situation; but Richard did say it was part of a kit, so they used it. Same goes for the faucet, they could have just used a single spigot.
🏆
The stone dolmen is a very nice touch.
The only thing missing is Norm.
😅Norm!!!!! (Cheers tv series)
Is it CA or NY? If so, you're right!
Man I'd give anything to apprentice with these guys
It's good to see em all together, specially Richard. Basically saying, screw the taxes and codes. Common sense prevails.
But if something caused the TRIP why simply reset it. I assume you should at least know the reason before doing so, no?
Best video out of about 1000 I've watched!
Asume your chickens will have a better eggs now😅
And they use a nailgun🤦🏻!!! A real builder uses a hammer, even the young ones. Lesson 1 of building/construction school: watch Larry Haun! Larry's first lesson: how to use a hammer.
I do t thing his insurance paid for the rebuild
realoly 7 guys for chicken coop wall
@brucecotnoir9135 You can’t spell “really?” Are you a goofy, uneducated troll?
SO he had fried chicken.
this is why u dont allow chickens in the city
If a chicken and a half laid an egg and a half in a day and a half, how long would it take a grasshopper with a wooden leg to kick 1,000 seeds out of a watermelon?
Answer: False - Ice cream does not have bones...
At 3:33 -- LET'S GO BRANDON !!!!!!!
No more talk, go to work 4:25
these are not full episodes... dont kid ur self

Raising a barn, no Amish?
Sheesh, I hope the chickens weren't in there at the time 🔥😬
