I actually ran one over on Nayels North. I was about 10 min in and came upon him as he’s was stretched out getting some Sun on the trail. After hitting him, I stopped about 10 feet away and shot some video…. The problem was I didn’t see him till it was to late. I couldn’t stop fast enough without wrecking… Been riding for around 10 years and first one on the trail that I ever encountered. I ride a lot out by nayels since I live out this way.
@@ClintGibbs It’s gotta be the same one we both saw around year or so ago on Cellon. Looks like the same one. Lol, I stopped at that bench today too, probably around 1:45. It’s the biggest one I’ve seen in person!
Sure. Older they are, more venomous they get. Some times snakes (mostly small ones) can cross paths very quickly, leaving no time to brake. Unfortunately I rode over a 6 inch long baby, it crossed the path very quickly I could not brake in time, rode over it..😔😔
Glad you missed it. What a majestic animal--I've been grateful every time I've been fortunate enough to see one.
That probably wasn’t your only skid mark!
Great comment 😂 😂
Sheeeeesh, Clint! These southern “trail features” are a little sketchy. 😅😅
Very glad you stopped in time. What trail was that on ?
Cellon Creek
Did he tell you to eat from the bad apple tree? Lol
Rocks > snakes. They know it. Pick up a rock and they will move
Chubbs.

I don't miss playing "stick or snake?" while riding around FL trails
Nothing improves your bunny hopping skills better than venomous snakes strewn across the trail.
Skin mark and Hershey mark
He sees you too. =[]
That's big!!
Damn. He wouldn’t have been happy to have tire marks on his back lol
Screw that
That’s awesome.
Where at? I was at San Felasco today too… was on the lookout because of how warm it was but thankfully didn’t see any. Matter of time
I saw this one about 2 miles in the Cellon Creek. A minute or so before the picnic bench by the creek.

Also saw the biggest yellow rat snake I’ve ever seen right in that same area. I’ll DM picture to you on Instagram. They eat well out there
Eastern Diamondback. Yikes!
I hate snakes, never thought about them when I booked by bike rental for next weekend. Shyt :D
Whoa! Scary 😨
Are those venomous? 👀
Definitely

Ya, I'll keep my Minnesota winters
Big Snake! 🤔👍✌️
I'm very glad we don't have any snakes in NZ. Jeepers that would give me a fright!
Ah yes riding in Florida we get everything the rest of the country has (well not brown bears) plus alligators and big ass snakes
