@@antnycruzrwierdly i somehow alsp got fastest time with the sword even though i only escaped with it once lol. Id expect fists to be faster but nope.
Very good guide! Lots of good info presented in a refreshingly clear and sorted manner. I'm far into the game and haven't done a lot of research beforehands. This guide was still helpful.
I'm 30-40hrs in. I have 7 clears, including 4/5 most recent runs, so I'm starting to get comfortable. I was today years old when I realized I could swap abilities in the mirror. I never realized there were different variations lol
0:20 lol, the timing of that. I was like "what does he mean 'heat'?" I appreciate the effort to refrain from spoilers. I'm at a point where I feel like I can't really progress much further and so, need to look up some more advanced stuff.
Really good intermediate level guide. I’ve played for 200 hours & I learned things about boon manipulation. There is also some attack cancel tech in the game as well. If you have the Stygian sword and perform a special then immediately dash before the sword hits the ground the damage will go off but you’ll be at the spot you dashed to. I accidentally found that out when fighting the flame wheels in Elysium.
While you said you can generally tell how long until a biome is done, according to the wiki Tartarus is always 15 rooms, Asphodel is always 10, and Elysium is always 11. You can easily just count if you want to be sure how long your curse will last
Thanks alot man! I appreciate the knowledge on when to start working about my build, I keep getting to Asphodel and getting my ass handed to me, this will help keep my focused on getting my keys and boons for the runs!
Well, on heat 0-20 you can clear consistently just by spamming sword's secret aspect. :^) Solid guide overall, though I think it could use some weapon-specific tips to round it up. Stuff like extending spear's spin attack range by dashing or cancelling fists' combo into a dash attack to bypass recovery.
Does the game call each floor a biome? It was really hard for me to follow this guide because they were called biomes, wasn't used to calling it that! Good tips in the video.
I have 200 hours in this game and can basically escape on every run with high heat and I had absolutely no idea you could switch the mirror between the purple and green status...
I finished on 32 heat with every aspect in the game and then uninstalled and moved on to other games 🤪 The tactics I used were too situational/unexciting for a video. Like various reward manipulation methods so that I can find Athena's extra 1UP boons more often.
Im seeing what looks like positive reviews across the board so maybe you did end up having some good advice later in the video but if I’m being 100% honest my viewing came to a screeching halt around the 2 minute mark when literally right out of the gate you said that Ares’ Doom effect wasn’t something that would benefit from multiple, quick attacks and instead would be best utilized with big, high damage single strikes. How you came to this conclusion puzzles and confounds my reasoning in such a complete, all-encompassing fashion that were I to scrutinize it any further than the briefest, most cursory of glances my abrupt, violent jettison from the comfort of my modest home into the Stygian depths of what I can only assume is the sunken place you cunningly crafted for this single purpose, would be so complete I would render down into a singularity from which light could not escape. And I am utterly convinced this was maliciously planned, contrived, and executed with the sole intent of capturing the first naive, trusting soul to click on and watch this video in full and use what was left after of their lifeless husk for whatever perverse, sick kink that a mind such as yours could contrive. Because there is no way someone could post a video like you did with anything but this intent. DOOM STACKS BRUH…..and not only that but there are literally Boons that Ares has which specifically give bonuses for activating Doom multiple times on a single enemy. It’s literally what it was created for, not hitting once for “big” damage. Wtf?? Weirdo bro.
So looking at this comment with a few days and tad bit of sobriety under my belt I realize I may have went a little overboard with the colorful and descriptive ways in which I recklessly used some of the adjectives involved in totally shitting on your video. And for that I apologize…..the rest was probably pretty good. But damn bro at least meet me in the middle and amend that obviously false fact about Ares.
great video, but my guy you made the same mistake speaking like 10 times: You mean to say "force" (or "ensure") but instead, incorrectly combine them into "enforce." It's distracting to hear you make the same (super minor) grammatical mistake over and over, lol. For your sake but also mine, please stop conflating the terms. E.g. you should have said, "you can use her keepsake to force/ensure an encounter with Athena in the first region." Instead you said "enforce an encounter" which being so close to (but not) correct is jarring to hear. Last argument: you have a cool voice. is that a deepness filter or legit?
This game is so damn addicting. Barely downloaded from game pass and loving it
Berserk pfp?
Excellent tutorial. The narrator's voice sounds like Zeus and that only makes the video better
To any new player strugling with the game i recomend the shield, i think is the most beginner friendly weapon
Agreed. Escaped my first time with the shield. Then went on to have my most escapes with the fists and my fastest time with the sword.
Totally agree
Got the first time to hades with shield... But jokingly finished my first time with the gun 😂
@@antnycruzrwierdly i somehow alsp got fastest time with the sword even though i only escaped with it once lol. Id expect fists to be faster but nope.
Depends entirely on play style preference.
I never block with the shield, I simply don’t like playing that way.
Best guide I've watched so far, even if I found out most of it myself.
No you didn’t. that’s why your here. 🖕

play this at 1.25 speed, its a very good guide, gj

I just discovered this, just after a 105th run. Heat 20. This feels like an expansion to the game 😂

Some of this advice covers things I never considered. Thanks for breaking it down so easily!
it’s like the olmec head from legends of the hidden temple is explaining hades to me, hell yea

Well made guide thank you. I hope you see a boost in viewership with the iOS release of the game
Waiting for Hades 2
This was such an excellent video, exactly what it had to be
Excellent guide. I'm struggling with the final boss on low heat (0-5), and the final piece of advice was exactly what I needed to hear
Just started playing and this game is dense as hell it’s insane
Sword will always be the best weapon for speed runs. Quickest DPS on average, and ez mode if you get preferential hammers.
Finally found what I was looking for. Thanks for the video!

Great video! Really appreciate the clear, easy to understand explanations, definitely going to keep them in mind when I'm playing Hades.
Finally some details 🙌
thank you🎉
Thank you so much! You do a great job explaining things!
Thats been awesome contrats for your video now you have a new sub
gear players make the best guides!
When is part two coming? Loved your explanations
In Hades 2! 🙃
Great guide, those last few tips should really help me clear more runs, and your voice made this sound kind of epic ngl.
Best guide so far
Whats with the lower voice?
Hades's voice.
I played too much God of War 2018 before recording this, and I thought I needed to sound more like Kratos. I said "Boy" before recording each line.
The tips are solid, the voice almost made me leave multiple times. Too fake, just be yourself man
*Sees the words "Hades" and "Heat"*
... yeah, 214B RC is nice, but don't overuse it 'cause players can anti-air it on reaction...
what fighting game are you talking about? seems sick
Wrong
This is SUPER helpful dude. Liked and subbed
Yo Hades content? Poggers.
This guide rocked !
Man i like your voice
Nice vid man, but wow, never a 1,25 speed has done more good to a video. Consider talking just a bit faster :) Keep it up

That's a pretty common name for different zones/stages/levels in rougelikes.
@@novriltataki This is my first rouge-like since Diablo 2 came out
Just realized there are green options in the mirror after beating Hades twice.
u dont have to beat hades twice to get the green options tho
I've seen a lot of comments like this but most of the green ones are just worse so it's not a huge loss
yea i wasnt bothered by it@@trainzelda1428
