I was VERRRRY DOUBTFUL that one of these would work on my big V8 '79 Trans-Am engine that sat over the winter for MONTHS. I thought I wasted a hundred bucks...BUT...I went out and hooked it up...I barely even turned the key and that sucker FIRED UP!!! I only had it on the battery for about TEN SECONDS!!! This thing is AMAZING!
'79 Trans-Am. Sweet! Oh how I miss those days. Cruising the backers with the tunes cranked! I wish they still made them. All this high tech sheet is obnoxious.
Hey! Have you ever had an issue where it is connected, solid green, for two clicks (tried connecting to so many different grounded parts of the car with the same result) and then it goes back to flashing green? When I first connected it to the car it set of the alarms, but the car hasn't turned on at all, doesn't even rev, because its a button push starter not a key turn
Once connected to the car my battery pack light don’t even come on. The flash light works and it shows it’s at 100% but it doesn’t show it’s connected to car battery. Help!
Hi Slowedie, I checked my user manual and looked it up online. You can probably go by the color and symbol (+ or -) on the battery itself as well. I hope that helps and you have a great day!
Do you think mine is faulty. Tested on 3 cars….1 dead battery and 2 normally charged batteries.the light keeps flashing. Never stays solid. Car battery clicks, light stays solid for about 2 secs then starts flashing.
I brought this about 2 years ago worked everything time i broke the Clamps by putting a 24 pack dear park on it too bad I can't by just the clamps and brought a Noco GB 40 haven't used it yet but hope it works just as good as the durlast one
Im trying to charge my phone with this unit but it keeps shutting off every 2 mins and i have to press the power button for it to stay on. Then it shuts off again. Worked fine jump starting V8
I have this same charger and when it is powered on, the battery steadily drains at about 1% every 3 seconds with nothing connected to it. Can't use it to charge a phone or power a usb device for more than a couple minutes, then it's a brick.
Hi Brian, I apologize for the delay getting back to you. I looked up in the owners manual for your Saturn Vue and saw on page 5-42 that you have a negative grounded battery because the post is remote from the battery. Here is the manual I used. www.carmanual.org/wp-content/plugins/pdfjs-viewer-shortcode/pdfjs/web/viewer.php?file=www.carmanual.org/OwnersManual/saturn/2006_saturn_vue.pdf&download=true&print=true&openfile=false Most Batteries are negatively grounded. In general a red wire and cap indicate the positive terminal and black negative. If your battery has a red cap on one terminal, it is most likely have a negative grounded remote terminal off the battery elsewhere. I hope that helps and I really appreciate your support of the channel. I hope you have a great day and good luck!
I am trying to fire up a Mercedes E350 that sat in the garage for a couple of months with no activity. I charged the battery charger and light came on green when set in center. I hooked the charger up to the positive and ground, then turned it on. The charger registered only yellow. Turned the key and the car wouldn't turn over. Can anyone tell me why the battery charger went from green to yellow when I turn it to the "on" position? Thanks
Hi, great question 3nthamornin! The thermometer symbol either means it needs to cool down, or in my case warm up. It is not as effective in either direction. I had that issue when I left it in my car during winter in Wisconsin. Thanks for you comment and I hope you have a great day!
C.O., have a Duralast DL. 800L power unit, and I lost inter. male insert connection. I will try to explain, where you put in the insert end to recharge it, inside of the unit itself, connection snap! While I inserted the cable end in the unit, so... I have no way to insert for recharging. Will the USB out connection there are two will they work for recharging, because I can't get them to work. Mind you I am a layman when it comes to these things. Yes" I know, it's simple, but is the unit useless now and need purchase new one, or is there another way, the unit itself works great! And if I have too, I will buy other this unit as paid for itself over and over again.
Hi Marco, I am not quite sure what the issue might be. If you can’t recharge it anymore I would actually call duralast customer service and they may be able to replace your old one. I completely agree that this has paid for itself!
@@CoastieOutdoors C. O. sorry after seeing my comment mis- explained, the charger cable you insert into the battery jumper unit, inside the unit the connector snaped and can't connect cable to power unit, in anyway. So, you might be right need to try Duralast customer. ser. thanks and Merry Christmas, Happy New!
I am so glad you were able to get back! The car would need to run for a little over an hour to charge back up from 0 on its own. You should be able to use the charger again though. I hope you have a great day!
Hi Red Life Style, I have had this charger for about 2 years now, and would absolutely recommend it if it is the last one left (even if it wasn't). It is not the cheapest you can get, but the compact size is perfect and I have used it on several vehicles with success over the last two years. I hope that helps and you have a great day!
I live in Colombia. To be gentle here the people are very money conservative. Many car owners and dealerships allow their batteries to die a severe death. This unit was bought by a car dealer and he was starting 70 year old vehicles like they were new. What I saw was incredible.
Hi Vince, that means that your connection needs to be reset. Try unplugging your cables, plugging them back in to the battery, and reconnecting to your car battery. I hope that helps and you have a great day!
Hi Dulaa8, the pack you can charge by plugging into a wall outlet and utilizing the micro usb that came with the pack. I hope that helps and you have a great day!
@@CoastieOutdoors The original packaging comes with a Micro USB charging cable, but not the wall charger itself. For your own wall charger, be sure the output from the wall to the charger cable does not exceed 2.0 amps. I learned this the hard way because the wall charger I used was a Qualcomm 3.0 amp charger. The Duralast charger's circuits were blown and I killed the unit. I had to buy another one. Lesson learned.
it jumps your vehicle very effectively, but, unless i was unlucky, you shouldn't buy it. the changing port broke free from the circuit board after 5 to 6 plug ins, rendering it useless, and since I don't need to jump my vehicle often..... the warranty has passed. impressive jumping capabilities, shit construction.

Thank you for this video. I just purchased this same charger but I found the instructions that come with it to be confusing
You're welcome! I completely understand and hope you have a great day
I saw this at a used car dealership. I was quite impressed.
Hi y2k4ed, thank you for saying so! It really does get the job done. I hope you have a great day!
I thought you'd cover the most important part: how to charge or recharge the Duralast device.

How can you tell if your car has a Negative or Positive Grounded battery?

I bought this did everything you did lightvstayed green kept hearing clicking sound but car wouldn’t start so idk
Could be a bad solenoid

How long does I take to recharge the device 🤔 I hear 3 hour but others tell me 8 hours
Thank you for this! Tho it didn’t work cause my battery needs a replaced😩

I just bought yesterday and mine has a red light and green light what does that mean ?

Also is the percentage supposed to go out or stay on it went to 99% than turned off
What if I only have a blue screen without numbers or anything else
