2v1! Tag Team Combos in Street Fighter 6!

- The CPU tag team partner cannot be directly controlled as far as I'm aware and its actions are random. I spent a lot of time playing 'scrap heap 2' to farm tons of zenny, then buy hundreds of items (to nerf damage and refill health). Then just grind world tour mode performing specific set-ups, tag in the CPU and react to whatever they do to hopefully create some cool combo.
99% of the time they either knock the opponent down immediately or do nothing. Either way, it sucks and no awesome combos happen. Very happy with the finished upload but this video added 30+ hours to my World Tour play time.

This is so cool! I wish the tag team thing and the created characters were a goofy secondary game mode for extreme battle or something, so you can use them for local matches against casual friend. Great video Desk!

It wouldve been awesome if there was a secret way another player can control the tagged in partner. A random example but Sonic Adventure DX on Gamecube allowed player 2 to control Tails in Sonic's story(even tho the box said its a single player game)
Arent there better examples in the own fg genre like SFxT's multiplayer mode?
@@carlosaugusto9821 true but i said "secret way", SFxT just flat out allows you to play co-op.

another secret 2-player co-op mode just like your example, Doppelganger Style in DMC3 let's you control the shadow clone Dante with a P2 controller plugged in. Likewise during the fight with Arkham when Vergil is assisting you.

I think it just occurred to me that Capcom placed the ability to have tag team combos like this so that they can prepare the RE Engine to handle Tag Team mechanics for a future fighting game.
The combo counter can also go past 99.
Reminds of SFA3 dramatic battle TAS videos. If only Capcom had gone all the way through and implemented Dramatic Battles... Even better, the option of 2v2 Dramatic Battle. That probably wasnt possible in SFA3 but it's possible for more advanced technology than the cps2 (as revealed by SF EX3). But for many years SF devs abandoned wacky extra modes after those old times... and gladly only right now the current SF devs are slowly looking back and being inspired by some of those ideas.
It's so cool to me that they actually get to use their full kit as assist and actually are agressive with full combos. So many games let you get temporary partners only to end up barely doing something
There's something hilarious about the video opening up with Rashid's butler getting jumped by a skinny karateka and a sumo wrestler. Guess it shows that Rashid's Twitch fanbase is truly international.

If Capcom did 1v2 or 2v2 tag team in actual online matches that would be so freaking sick. I wouldn't even mind playing rank for it LOL
Man... Capcom needs to put some sort of coop battle for SF6. Imagine playing through World Tour with your friends. Or, going to lobbies and having 2v2 fights or coop battling bosses to get unique gear or smth.

If only SF6 had dynamic battles as an option, that would be soo fun to mess around with

It makes sense to read that this was only 1% of your attempts, I would try for cool tag-in moments and it never worked for me. It is, however, very interesting to see that you can "cancel" a normal into the assist AND then cancel it with drive rush/something else. Nice work!

To me Capcom missed an opportunity to go all way through and add an extra 2v2 mode, maybe part of extreme mode. Just zoom out the camera a little bit for a better adjustment, like other modes. Now that would have been a notable innovation.
The way i see it, it's absurd that fg companies currently working on much more advanced technology dont bring back and expand some old ideas like Bonus modes, Dramatic Battle, etc. that the old devs (the only ones deserving of any praise and credit) managed to pull off on those 90s machines.
Kinda makes me regret never using the summons in World Tour.

Not only that but 2v2 Dramatic Battle. Mugen like. That was probably impossible in the cps2 but now it's possible.

I wish the game had an actual co-op mode in WT mode. Triple the enemies and have them both active like this. The chaos would've been so funny, lol.
Yo Desk, are you just playing on different accounts or are you just changing your characters look? Im wondering if there is a way to save multiple Avatar presets or something(i know we can save costume presets)
you can save your avatar for later whenever you visit a body shop (and start over from a preset, or just load a recipe made from someone online using a recipe code, which I have a bunch of), I think it gives you something like 30-50 slots and you can unlock more with fighter coins. sadly you can't save a default outfit for each avatar slot, those slots are separate and there aren't as many.

There's zero current way to choose who your Master Assist is, right? How did you aim for specific ones to be able to call out?
Tag team matches are better than going solo for 1-1 fights or something.
Shame the difficulty was so scuffed in world tour it could have been way more enjoyable.
Very easy until around lvl.30 when everyone 3 shots you, weird because there is capable AI in SF6 they could have used.
I wish Capcom create a Dream Match Street Fighter with Tag Battles & Every Playable Character within Nearly 40 years of It's Legacy.

Guile setting up Sonic Cross while you loop them to doeath with bitter strikes sonic voom was great
I think this is what ono would've done based on some of the stuff people have said in the past. I don't think he makes bad games at all, I just think that he needs to be able to explore concepts outside of the legacy expectations of a street fighter game. sometimes being tied to a long running franchise can be a creative burden, imo.
Damn, I wish they add a tag team mode in Season 2 or 3 of the game. Imagine if different players can control each character like in Project L.
