- In this video I'll show you how to remove and reinstall the rear air ride shocks on my 1990 Oldsmobile 98. This method applies to many other vehicles from the same era. Hope this helps.
I just gotta say thank you so much for making these vids, I have an olds 98 Regency i bought as a daily driver for $2500 and these vids have been a massive help as i "bulletproof" it! Great job at explaining everything as well!
You're the man!
I love those old cars. I drive a 93 lumina with 330000 miles. So easy to work on. Looks like you might need a new brake hose.
Good call!
I have one With 126k on it my first car still working on it
Let me ask you something do the bags fill up? Or there just for emergency? Because when my shocks was bad the compressor ran all the time. Now I replaced the shocks and new compressor rides awesome but the compressor or bags don't fill. Is that normal
@basilnegron9302 The bags do hold a small amount of air, but not much. It's more of ride "leveling" than air "ride" itself. The leveling sensor senses the level of height and kicks on the compressor when necessary to "top off" the bags. If the compressor is running constantly, you either have a leak in a line somewhere, or the leveling sensor is out of whack. The compressor will re level the suspension with the vehicle off as well. The previous owner of my car had the compressor unplugged because these ones leaked so bad and it was draining the battery while sitting.
@@caayydennok just wanted to know mine were leaking before it had a bad bag. But I rebuilt the whole suspension ball joints bags tie rods. As o am restoring my 89 oldsmobile. Oh new compressor too. Rides awesome just I don't feel air in bags like I use too. So there just there incase
@@caayydenn oh new springs too
