SRS on carbine gas I would go with Carbine or H no heavier. with SMB you could do H or H2. SMB are easier to tune a rifle but offer less recoil reduction from our SRS. The SRS has duel springs so is best for suppressed guns and recoil reduction but is harder to tune your gun for it. Both great just depends on what you are looking for out of your build.

I'm planning to get the SRS, what weight should I get for a standard 16" barrel, midlength gas? Would it be H1? Will the SRS H1 still cycle with Steel Casing ammo? Thanks :)
With a 16" I would go with the Carbine and it's best used with a suppressor. If you are not running a Suppressor I would go with SMB C or H. And Steel case is a bit under powered and may not function correctly with our systems.

My AR has a 16" barrel with a .750 mid-length gas tube, and I got the carbine weight SRS for it, but it was not able to return to battery very frequently when I release my bolt for reloading (this won't happen if I hand charge it). I kinda solved it by putting two quarters behind the SRS in the buffer tube to give it a higher force when releasing the spring. If I wanna change to a proper weight, which would you recommand?
That is strange. I would make sure your BCG is locking back on the face of the bolt and not the BCG. That will tell us if it's fully cycling to the rear on last round hold open.
@@armaspecusa It does lock back fully to the face of the bolt carrier and so do I when manually locking it back, yet this problem still exists. The only thing completely provable would be the noise reduction. Everything else is subjective without creating some sort of fixture with force sensors to objectively measure felt recoil with and without it. I own the SMB GEN 3 in H2 and love it. I currently have the SMB H2 in my .300 blackout and to be honest, the SMB series is no quieter than a high quality polished spring. I will say this - It pays to have a high quality buffer tube that has a thicker wall to eliminate some of the "twang" as well.
I couldn't figure out how to make it work in 9mm. It has the pin in the center so the 9mm solid back bolt can't come rearward.
