HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 апр 2011
- Hi, in this video guitar lesson I explain the basic of Banjo Rolls very common in country guitar. You'll find a couple of exercises on how to practice it and how to develop accuracy.
As you can see in the video, this technique is normally played using a thumb-pick or hybrid picking (flat pick + fingers).
To see the exercise click here: www.dariocortes...
Please check out the other lessons on my website and let me know what you think.
I hope you enjoy it.
Dario
Far and away the most concise and logical lesson on the subject I've seen so far. Thanks.
Dario..... your lessons are hands-down some of the best out there! Your explanations are so clear. Thanks!
Hey man, a fellow guitar teacher here. You are very good at explaining and have clear communication on what should be done. Much respect!
Great video. I appreciate the time you take with the lesson, keeping it simple, and the close ups of your right hand make it easy to follow.
You are a true gentleman teaching this lesson, i learned it pratically in 3 minutes after you finished your lesson, thank you so much, sir!

Practise doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent! In other words, practise wrong, you'll always play wrong. Nice one, Dario - liked and subscribed!
Good explantions and visuals make for a great presentation. Well done! Many thanks for your effort and for sharing this.

That`s a very nice video1! I don`t play this "banjo" style, but your tips about the planting technique, correct repetition and playing slow are very important. I encourage my students to practice this way, and think that every teacher should embrace these concepts. Congrats!

I just want to say thank you for this wonderful lesson! This really helped me on my way to learning hybrid picking a couple of years ago. I just re-found your video because I wanted to link it on my own video to tell people about this great technique. Sorry to see that you haven't posted in a while but I've subscribed in case you start posting again in the future. Take care and thank you!
Amazing video
Wunderbar! ✨👌
What I like to see is comments like yours. No good facts or statements but saying I'm wrong.
I accept that I'm not a master of guitar history but I know a thing or two.
The origins of the guitar are from Spain, it uses the finger style in different variants, Classical music has adapted it and made it popular among other musicians. Since classical is more inflexible, It became some sort of a tradition or even laid "rules" of the finger style techniques.
Thanks. I enjoyed that and will Give it a go.
Excellent lesson...!

Awesome lesson. Thank you so much!
Classical guitar techniques are selected from a set of richly expressive techniques, which allowed a great deal of expression and improvisation. The techniques you and your colleagues practice maximize your ability to explore a wide range of literature, written both for the guitar and the harpsichord. By make the technique simpler, you have more time to master it. This allows for the development of remarkably beautiful technique, making the shape and texture of your nails relevant.
Thank you.
thanks for the lesson. great tips.
excellent lessons! thank you so much!
id have to disagree on the origin of banjo rolls because old time musicians were playing the same patterns having never heard classical music even predating bluegrass. that said i did really enjoy the video, good job!
Thanks for a good lesson
Really good lesson. Thanks man. I'll be using these routines as my practice.

Ciao, Beluomo! just the sound of the word banjo makes me think of Deliverance.

Please a video tutorial about chicken picking. You're the best!
Dario is a master guitar player and a master teacher, a true 'maestro.' Check out his version of Jerry's Breakdown. It's amazing.
Thanks for the lesson. Why do you end up with a thumb note, which is a third of a triplet? Why not end on the third finger of the triplet?
thank u
wow lmao I was not expecting that accent haha hell yea brotha
ikr it's awesome
Hey man, great video!! But a have some problems whit the pick, can you make a vid about roll but more focus in the techniche whit the pick? Thank you.
trovo la pennata ibrida molto scomoda tranne che per qualche passaggio quando ormai si ha in mano il plettro. Complimenti per il video, pollice in su
great vid
Other styles of finger-style guitar also have a use for nails, but in a different way. Flamenco nails need to be harder and thicker, to stand up to the all the golpe and to increase the volume of the rasgueado.
Other styles favor a lack of nails, because of the softer muted tone it produces. This is was more common place with popular Spanish guitarists of the later 1800s.
You can love what you do without disparaging others. You insult the thing you love, by binding up your ego in it.
👍👍 ☺️
You are so good, many of us can't really pick well. This is one of the hardest part to me to pick with fingers properly classical style. I can pick them at the same time making chords but this way it looks thousands times easier what it really is. How long did it take to learn this technique? Thank you so much.
He looks and talks like peter griffin's boss on family guy
Jimmy Landa yeah. He does.
Mr. weed lol
Awesome lesson, awesome nails. :)
ma ero contento di un video italiano, poi parte l'inglese! ahahahaha
Thanks pal this was really helpful! :D
Dario Cortese! Eres de habla española? Creo que por eso entendí muy bien tu inglés jaja. Muy buena lección! Voy a ver otras mas. Gracias! Saludos desde Argentina.
