This is a fantastic book. I use a lot of these ideas when I play live.

Nice. I'm mainly a rock/metal/classical guitarist, so it's nice to see how other styles work.

Any of those Scruggs rolls are great to get under the fingers. Good luck with the book!

Adi Hughes nothing feels better than playing a Scruggs type roll real fast.

Hey Levi, around the 10:30 mark I notice your high E drops out against the other two somewhat, I dunno if that's just an internet issue or if it is indeed buried in the mix?... Am I right to assume using compression will help with that?... because I have the same issue here when I attempt these things...

    • @LeviClay

Walt Bonczek it’s a combination of the two - technique will help (I can always be better with lots of warmup!) but a good compressor will squash the loud noted and boost the low.

Thanks man, I'm sure it has something to do with the diameter of the strings and the attack as well...and anyone can always be better...I need to learn more about how to use pedals correctly too...I have no idea what 'knee' means or how 'attack' and 'release ' work on a comp...My teacher did a really decent video on these issues...I guess I'll delve into that...Regards...

    That's interesting
Might just invest in the compilation version, is it an A4 sized book?
