You just saved me🙌 I have been shopping for ends. I'm making sewn fabric and glass beads and gemstone jewelry and now I can make whatever size ends I want for them. Thank you🌻
Patricia, I'd like to share a tip with you and your viewers. While looking for dowels to make your endcaps on, I happened to notice a set of sponge brushes with various size dowels for handles! The package contained two each of size 1 inch down to 1/8 inch. The set was $3.10 at Walmart! Tried them out tonight and they were perfect! Easily stored in a zip lock bag!.....Thank you so much for your tutorials. You are a great teacher and your work is beautiful.
Ive just learned, not too long ago that you can make your own beads!! Lol you have now opened my EYES even more now that I know I can make my own END CAPS!!🤩🤯💙🐝💙
I never thought of making my own end caps until I saw your video here. I came upon it accidently looking to find out how to make polymer beads. These are lovely. I can hardly wait to make some myself. Love end caps. TFS ☺♥
This technique is brilliant! I started working in polymer clay so that I could create custom focal beads. I've been trying to figure out a good way to make endcaps for years! Thank you so much!
Oh, WOW! I never expected to wake up and learn a new skill, but you have given me so many new ideas to try. My clay is close, so I'll start this today. Thank you for giving me new ideas and showing me how to make them work. But first, the wire wrapping video you did...
Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I make cabs and such with poly clay, I make the necklaces with Beaded Kumihimo ropes, or leather, or chain. The bead caps I usually use are the more expensive ones, I like the way they finish the jewelry. This is such a eye opening tutorial! I work with metal and can make most of my own findings, now, someday all of our jewelry will be truly hand made! Thanks so much for sharing.
not long found you , got a lot of catching up to do , love all the great tips you share and your tutorials are so easy to follow Thank you for sharing 🤗🤗xx
I love this tutorial. I am an end cap fanatic so I was delighted to find you making some oh so lovely caps. I can hardly wait to try it myself. Thank you for the inspiration Patricia :}
Patricia, I lately came across your tutorials and I liked so much, that you are sharing your experience on alkohol inks and end cups. I thank you very much from sunny Greece. Vassilis
Hi Pat! I’m rewatching your wire Wrap/end caps videos and I see your beautifully decorated jar up on your left. Can you do a video (if you haven’t already? ), about what you used and how you decorated it? It so beautiful!,, you are truly amazing! Thank you so much for all you’ve taught me!
Hi, Patricia! I just came across this wonderful video and I'm really delighted with your endcaps as well as your necklaces. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm Patricia, from Argentina. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your page 💝💝💝
Thank you a lot ! I can't believe that I didn't think about it before. So simple, so nice, a great alternative for metal endings. I hope to learn from you more. Best regards from Poland !
Oh my! Thank you for sharing! I love, love your bracelet! You sure did a marvelous job on the fake jade! Keep the videos coming! I love every minute of it!
Hi Patricia, first time I see your tutorials and I love them, so count me in as your follower! 😊I do jewerly but I've always been afraid of trying clay....until now! I will definitively start with your techniques. Thank you so much!
I just love watching your videos. I learn SO much (and I thought I knew it all !!! ) JUST joking. I don't know if you ever read these comments but if you do.. don't even waste money on clay yo texture sponges. I bought them-3 per order- 9.99-expensive. That aquarium filter is the same thing only. I love the "nubbly" look too.I don't use the finer ones. It looks like rough sandpaper texture. I have a solid foot scrubber, Wal-mart, that makes great nubs. I spray it with armorall & put the clay on it instead of it on the clay. cooli-o Thank you for these great vids. It's lots of work and I appreciate it.
I love your pendants Patricia, would you recommend some of the tutorials you learned them from. i purchased Debbie`s kato liquid one on your recommendation. It was fantasic.
Hi Pat! I haven’t seen you on you tube in a while. I miss your wonderful teaching style and calming voice. I hope and pray that you are not I’ll. If you ever do another tutorial video would you consider showing us your pretty decorated can that I see on your desk in this “How to make end caps” video? I love the colors and leaves and flowers you have on it! I’d love to see the entire can/tool holder can. Thanx for all your wonderful lessons and I send my love and well health wishes to you. Thank you! 😉👍🥰
Thank you for your video - great ideas here - can you repeat what you used to make your tool for making cone-shaped capes? I could hear properly, did you say knitting needle?
Great Tutorial. Want to try my hands on polymer clay. Could you please tell me which brand of clay should I try with. What if the clay is dry and keeps cracking?
I work mostly with Premo by Sculpey. Dry and cracking clay sometimes just need to be conditioned. You can put it in a ziplock bag and try hitting it ( not too hard ) with a hammer or better yet, a mallet. Or if it's not too dry I slice it into 1/8" pieces and use a roller to flatten before putting it in the pasta machine. You could put it in a bag and add a couple of drops ofclay softener or baby oil, and let it soak in. Lots of things you can try
Just curious, when making these and rolling them on the paper covered rod to form the tube..say you get a little heavy handed and flatten out some of the design, can you not take that decorative roller and roll it around the rod to re texture it ? And if I may..when you were saying see the daylight putting the wire through the cap, how about a small flashlight that you can set up on the end of the cap for a guide ? I dont know I have not tried it but I have a hard time with little things like that.
You can certainly use your texture mat or roller on the endcap - lightly so not to distort the shape. I don't usually have a problem finding the hole, but I have to bring the work closer to my eyes. I just couldn't do that in the video
You just saved me🙌 I have been shopping for ends. I'm making sewn fabric and glass beads and gemstone jewelry and now I can make whatever size ends I want for them. Thank you🌻

Really fantastic tutorial, definately inspired me...thank you! So you don't remove the sticky tape before baking? And is any sticky tape ok to use?
Patricia Roberts-Thompson Thanks so much for the info Patricia and thankyou for sharing your amazing tutorials, look forward to watching more! 😊
