You are the only one RUclipsr who share a lot of POV’s a week like a soldier who uses a whole magazine of bullets, I respect it!
Ah yes, new video! Thank you for always dropping BANGER POVs🔥
Definition of skills. This guy is so talented. Can’t wait for his Landscape photography
I started with the d50 10 years ago when it was already old. Then I changed to d3300 and eventually got the d500 but I'm super nostalgic when I review my old d50 shots. There is something special about the colours.
This video is a prove that Street Photography can be done with any camera
So to all of you out there
Buy cheap and get golden results
Thank you for this amazing POV
It will be nice if you can do a black and white POV using this camera
Try it out because these old sensors have their own magic when there is enough sun light
Happy new year mate …
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL! 💯
I love that you're giving people a chance to get into photography with giveaways like this. Regarding the lense, do you guys think its worth to add to a prime collection? (a 50 and an 85 1.8, I also own the holy trinity 2.8 but the 1.8 is sick)
Always great to see the capabilities of this old tech. Banger shots! Would be interesting to see these printed. Wish you all the best for ‘23!
You are someone that shows that you don't need a mad camera to go ahead and make fantastic pictures at night.
Happy New Year all. Great video as always
heyy! i love your pov w' the d7000. Is there any chance that i can get your camera setting?
I LOVE this! It’s very fun to see an old camera like this being used like you use your modern Sony cameras! Btw, did you notice any difference in the CCD sensor compared to the cmos sensors you’re used to? I’ve heard people say they love how CCD sensors look.
Happy new year!
I thought the photos looked a bit more pleasing than normal personally. A bit more filmic
I find the strength is that if there is noise, it doesn't look terrible - you can just let it be noisy instead of having to avoid pushing the shadows as much. With my Sony A100, the amount I could pull from the shadows (at ISO 100, which I think is the native ISO; It's really hard to find info about the native ISO of stills cameras for some reason) was pretty amazing. There were no weird colour shifts when doing so either. My main issue was my failing to get the camera to ETTR - it really insists on overexposing, and that's a big problem when there is no live view.
Since the older sensor isn't as sensitive, the noise (though pleasing) will appear earlier.
So cool to see you in Australia! Awesome video man!!
I love the fact that you put the camera settings on screen 👍🏼
Oh damn, I have the D40X and just wanted to see what was possible with those exact lens specs and your video is just perfect for that! Cheers mate, I will check out your other videos as well!
These are honestly some of my favorite shots from a POV.
The photos look very pleasing!!! Noticeably different than the Sony. Great video thank you
Thankful for this video man! it really motivated me to pickup my d50
Great video Sam! Good luck with your 365 videos in 365 days challenge. Looking forward for more videos 😊
I'd love to know how you edited those photo's because I have a t2i and I feel like I've gotten some REALLY good shots for a beginner, and while I can feel the idea or mood I want to edit I just don't have the technical skills yet for it lol. So maybe can you do a breakdown on how you edited those photo's?
T2i gang!!!
@@misterleo4164 lol woot woot, the camera is a beast for something 10 years old XD
That was my very first Nikon digital camera.
I bought it new and paid a bunch of money for it.
I remember taking it to the Statue of Liberty and got amazing images!.
Thanks for your post.
The shots looks awesome 🤧 I have my D50 for a couple of years gifted by my uncle but I think I haven't used it's full capacity 😅 i only have the kit lens, idk if it's the lens or editing 🥲
So stoked to see you here down under. 😊😊
How do you keep the flash from popping up. Always in Manual?
Happy new year y'all. This year Imma try more POV videos myself ; regularly.
This old camera is awesome, love the feel and ergonomics. The colors are vivid and punchy. Yes the 2gb card capacity is limiting but i can still get cards. The viewfinder is 2" but at 6mp its a sleeper and i preferr it over my d7000 as a my street camera and go to carry along.
A D-50 tip worth knowing: I have been able to use a 4gb SD (non-HC) by formatting it in a computer (FAT-32) rather than in camera. Not all 4 GB SD cards work but the cheapest Kingston's have been successful.
Awesome vid man
Really enjoy your video man ! Keep up the good work ! What lenses would you recommend for portrait shots and long distance shots ? Thanks !
Пробуйте доступный 85мм либо 70-300 VR в том числе новые аналоги. 17-70 сигма так же хорош. Начать с 55-200 II VR - не самая плохая идея
The d50 retains the autofocus motor ditched on later models so autofocus is likely to work on f mount lenses that lack an internal autofocus motor.
Camera settings to make pictures look like that ? Thanks!
Sick video Sam 🔥🔥🇬🇧
This is quite inspiring because I’ve got a canon 700d with a couple lenses and have struggled with low light
These shots look GOOD, i have this same camera with 50mm lens but i just cant get this image quality...
It's nice to see that you can get great pictures even with a cheaper camera. You make great video🔥
Good motivation to go out at night with my m4/3 Olympus. Skills > gear❤
Wonderful video as always. Can I assume that your setting is aperture priority at F1.8 and Iso 200 with shutter speed set on auto?
He literally says in the video he is shooting in M
great video! are those raw or edited photos in the video?
Just dug my D50 out as you've inspired me to try night shots. Beautiful neon lights are a burst of dazzling colour. 😀
I was lucky to be given the camera along with the original lens as well as a 300 zoom and macro by a guy who no longer used it. 😀
You did these pictures without filters? Just cameras settings?
this NIKON D50 is pretty good , keep up the good work
Hi i liked this video, i have got my hands on a d50 with kit lense. I want to buy either the 35mm 1.8 for this camera or the 50mm 1.8, which one should i get?
Thanks!
Edit: actually based on the prices, I'll defo go with 50mm since its much cheaper
Let's gooo!!!
I am working on developing my photography account and having a camera would be very useful and I never tried working with different cameras and the NikonD50 would be a good way to start working with different digital cameras.
I got the D50 sitting in my closet and I use a D7000(2:54 low light is really challenging)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I have a old Nikon d60 lying around with that same lense. It works great with lots of light but after iso 400 its pretty grainy.
Sell me it bro
can you do a video explaining how to change the settings? I love using this camera but have no clue how to change the settings.
Посмотрите любой другой ролик про меню у никонов, например для д300. Особенно про фокусировку. Быстрее всего настройки меняются при помощи колес на теле
cool giveaway , happy holidays
nice video.good shoot
Yes. I like this kind of video. Camera is like a car... If you drive it well. They still can bring you to places. Of course.. the experience and somethings may be different but for alot of cases. They still work. On the other hand if you cant drive.. then no matter what car you have. It just wont work.
I LOVE Photography!But I don't have any camera.
What lens it is ?
the results are edited in lightroom right?
Happy new year everyone and interesting video
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL
Suuper cool pictures! My dad has an old Nikon D80 at home. I‘ll try using it☺️
@@DVAmarkeraokey thank you. I don‘t know a lot about fotography and i‘m very new to it (I‘ve only shot film so far and on my iPhone) so I‘m glad for every advice. So you‘re saying it‘s important to choose a lens that is special for night time fotography, right?
Nikon D50💓
Good for me as a beginner
I’m confused. What lense did he use? The two he put in the caption are both for Sony cameras not Nikon. If anyone could let me know the size and brand of lense he used for the Nikon d50 shots I’d greatly appreciate it. I am buying a Nikon d50 this Friday but I’d like to get a nice lense for it. I’m new to photography and want to specialize in night street photography
The lens I used is literally in the title 😂 the ones in the caption are the ones I use normally.
You could go manual focus with it but yeah the pilot light will give you away 😊
Sam x trams… name a more iconic duo 😂
I had one , it was my first dslr
let's try my chances on this nikon d50
Not bad photos for an older camera with only 6 megapixels. My old Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is 16 megapixels.
Love that Nikon D50
I want really to start the photography and you motivated me to start thet and that is why i would to like win this camera
Living proof that Gear doesn’t always matters
I'm using Nikon D90 with 50mm still works fine.
So your photo are 50mm because of crop sensor or they are 35mm?
35mm lens equates to 52,5mm on the D50 due to the APS-C sensor.
☺️
13:33 🤩
You should also pick up old phone (no matter android or iPhone) and show that nothing can stop you from creative flow :)
I am very interested in the Nikon D50. I am an aspiring photographer.
I’m 2 years into my street photography journey and would love the opportunity to use the Nikon D50 to see what I can shoot with it. Thanks Nelson #image3street
For now i would recommed the d80 i got one with a 18mm-135mm for £70

NIKON D50
I really wanted to have this Nikon d50 cuz I've always wanted to start photography but can't afford one, I would love to win this Nikon d50. Thanks for the chance. Happy New Year!! 🥳🥰
@jaylagumbay270730
I would love to have this camera just to start my photography career. Just started watching u, and I really admire your work. papirizz100, Nikon D50
hope to win nikon d50
Nice 😢😮😅
Hey bro i want to be a real photographer but i don't have camera i capture on tecno pop 2f .i dont have money for came 😢 and for the food . Please 🙏🙏 help me by my 1st camera
Always wide open, always spraying.
pov lens is fogging
Yeah I address this issue in tomorrows upload and I’ve found a very good solution 🤙🏼
Love that nikonD50. My husband is a newbie freelance photographer. We are from the Philippines. Hoping for by any chance to have it for him. ❤️❤️❤️
The Nikon D50 would be a great nostalgic addition to my collection of Nikons. I have the D90 and the Zfc. Plus I would love to give it a go, because for the last month I have been using old point and shot cameras (from Olympus) just to relive the experience of using them. Thanks for the giveaway @neklamp
What a nice video! Really like the tower shots! Would love to use that NikonD50 in our university or any photo opportunity in the future. Being a photojournalist who only borrows cameras to take photos, this'll really be awesome and helpful to have and use. Thank you for the opportunity! d.m_anthony
I don't have much time. Talk faster.
Dude, tiktok tutorials are there for you...
That Nikon D50 looks incredible in low light, performed really well. I wish I were able to buy it even in second hand but alas that is not the case. My current camera does okay but I want to up my night photography and I reckon this will do the trick. @fentonsphotographs
I loved the video with the Nikon D50 and the 35mm has me wondering if I should buy a 35 myself.
Love the idea of having a cheaper camera. As a starting photographer, I always get those moments where I'm just going along with my day, see something and go: "Man, I wish I had my camera on me, this would be such a cool shot!" But I'm too scared to carry my more expensive camera around everywhere and every day. I try with my phone but it never gets it as a camera sensor would, so I really think having a cheaper camera that I could take everywhere and not worry about it so much like that NIKON D50 would come in so handy to capture all those moments.
Happy new year,
@rchaves_photography
commenting again as my first comment seems to have been shadowbanned for including the name of the purple gradient camera app
As a 15 year old photographer with a Canon 4000d, kit lens and a very low budget for a new lens, i found this very very inspiring, thank you Sam :) @YtrikX
Nikon d50 🔥 @matroxx350 I’ve never used a Nikon reflex so.. 😎
Im passionate about photography and would like to be able to shoot with a camera at the moment im just using my phone camera as i could not afford a proper camera. It would be massive to get a body nikon d50 camera. Thanks mate! @walkwithmeldn
I would like this Nikon D50 to learn photography on a next level. This camera seems enough for my needs since I am still learning and new to photography. I have been learning on my phone in the past year, with this Nikon D50, I can really show my potential using a real DSLR. Thanks and I really enjoy watching your POV videos! @azucattoo
Would love the Nikon D50 because I need finally a proper camera. I only shoot with my phone so far. 😬📸 @eyelookat
Would love the NIkon D50 as it would be an upgrade from my currently 12 year old setup, whilst it treats me fine as demonstrated in this video this camera would be able to perform much better in low light scenarios which i believe are some of the best much love, @opophoto_
I love this kind of video with "outdated" equipment.
This nikon D50 would be the perfect birthday present for my daughter. She is going to be 10 and loves photography she is constantly borrowing people's phones to take pictures. I was thinking of getting her a polaroid but this little SLR would be perfect for her. @zihalf

@the_mikolaj.foto
Hello, I'm Mikołaj from Poland. I am currently using a Canon PowerShot SX150IS compact camera for 2 years. I would like to take my photography to the next level and buy a camera with interchangeable lenses like this Nikon. With the D50, I would be able to find new frames in my hometown.
I am 16 years old in the UK doing street and motorsport photography with my canon 450d. The nikon d50 would help in the next step and learning a better and newer camera than what I have now. Because of my age people think that it's weird but I don't think so :) Many thanks

Hi!
I have thought about getting into photography for a few years now, and now it seems like my mental health could really benefit from the mindfulness of taking photos. So I’ve been hyper scanning the internet trying to find out what camera I can afford (with decent quality)
I appreciate this video and I’ve subscribed regardless, I’d really appreciate and make use of the camera if you were to choose me.
I made an account for photography @koolpiix
Kind regards✌️
I would love this Nikon D50 because this youtube channel has inspired me to start my photography journey. This would be an amazing kickstart. Love the vids man, keep it up! @x.budge
NikonD50 -I am using my phone for streetphotography. A camera would be more than welcome! @imprez.photography29
I just got into photography back in August and my brother usually comes with me when I'm out and about and I feel bad he doesn't have a camera to shoot with aside from his phone. Thing is he wants to learn as well and if I can't win the NIKON D50 here then I'll look into purchasing something for him.
Hopefully we win!
