"This is the best thing I've ever had in a ration" - Steve1989MREInfo, every single video
HAHAHAAH so true!
lol
Nice!
Steve’s constantly in the process of having his mind fuckin’ blown by food
Nice
Steve's Grandma: baby Steve, say "Nana" ❤
baby Steve: na....... na...... NICE
welcome back Steve :)
:) Heheh thanks aeronimopaolito.
Makes me wish I had a picture of me when I was a little kid with my first MRE. It was a 1993 Ham Slices in the middle of Summer 1997. That was also RC Gusto's first MRE (Ham Slices). Not sure what year he had his first MRE.
Gschultz9 has a picture of him from when he was a kid outside wearing some camo outfit eating C Rations. Totally an awesome photo considering he's such a staple classic MRE Reviewer.
Steve1989MREInfo Perhaps you had some old Gerber baby food when you were little, and started digging it.
And then he smoked one of her cigarettes
aeronimopaolito good afternoon
hi rin
Your general levels of optimism and positivity bring me comfort in this dark, scary world.

This aged so well for 2020-2021
Is the world around you scary, or mostly just the world inside the glowing rectangles?
wow I'm from Latvia and it feels kinda nice when people know about existence of this country
One of the most incredible people I've met was Latvian. Really awesome culture and people :D
I know about Latvia mostly cuz my girlfriend is Estonian and has talked about the countries nearby
El my grandpa is from Latvia but had to leave with his mom as a kid during the rise of the USSR I really want to visit Latvia one day
I earned some airborne wings from you guys. Keep them on me pretty often
If a person isn't aware that Latvia exists, they probably aren't worth worrying about.
I read the ingredients on that main course for ya. Just from seeing it, it appears to be a dish called Sautējums. The ingredients list says: 31% Pork, 29% beef, 35% veggies. The veggies are beetroot, carrot, and onion. My Latvian mother in law cooks something similar with the same ingredients, but with the meats minced and the veggies diced and then roasted together on an oven tray, this appears to be stewed. It's a pity they didn't put a hard candy called Bārbele in there, those are really great.
As a latvian the rye bread was expected, we literally eat nothing without rye bread, my family atleast. Im not shure Latvians could exist without it
It's good though
No
Must be your German roots😉

LOL
@@dikon0172 yep! We were really close to Germans once

that's lit and dank
yeh damn right son
Steve,
I'd love to see an all-star MRE where you take all your favorite MRE items and make the ultimate package.
That sure would be decadent.
Steve1989MREInfo and expensive!
I was literally about to say “that would be decadent” but I see Steve beat me to it 🤣
@@elliottweedy6848 it’s ok you only got beat by 5 years
Two fellow Latvians watching this with pride :D It's always nice to see anything from favourite youtubers about our small country.
I love when he cooks stuff on the stove idk why it seems more homey watching a video where he uses the stove on a rainy day is perfect
"That's lit"
"No Steve, this video is lit"
"You're lit"
Ive been living without Steve for so long and all of a sudden TWO IN ONE DAY?! NICE!
Rye bread is meant to be eaten with your main Steve!
Thanks to Steve and the other reviewers, I can recognize "sugar" in a dozen different languages.
So if I ever go to another country, I'll pee in my pants because I don't know the word for "Bathroom", but I'll be able to find the sugar.
Nice...
Wow didn't expect my country ration here O_O
Yamio Civacita They're doing a damn good job according to Steve.
dasg hagery Well at least its not filled with tuna cans unlike other rations
Yamio Civacita same
Neither did i, LATVIA REPRESENT!
vne :D
Oh nice, Latvians finally have a dedicated ration :) When I was serving, we received our rations in shopping bags. In best case we received Lithuanian rations, some times some US rations when bigger NATO training exercises like summer shield or saber strike where on the list. I can definitely see the poor packaging, and some other issues with the MRE but this is a start at least. Thanks for the informative video.
You are definitely the bob Ross of mre reviews. They're just so calm and relaxing
Sveiciens visiem latviešiem!
Nice video man, it was pretty interesting to see what's in our MREs. I can imagine how good that rye bread was, it's one of the foods that I miss the most while living abroad. By the way those "pickled cabbages" are actually onions together with beets and carrots. And, yes we like our coffee strong haha
If you are in the USA, I can get you some of the items from these rations. :)
Hi! I might be interested, any way i can look you up, or contact you?

It can't be a coincidence. Also, I learned how to pronounce risotto in a new, non-standard way.

Another wonderful review, as always. :)
Dude, since you've become famous, you seem to be buried under a layer of laywers and agents or something - I've tried to PM you and such, but nothing gets through.
I miss our chats :(
Hey Alex! So good to see you man. I was just thinking about ya the other day and hoping you and your sister were well. :)
My message box has been broken for over a year - can only get messages but they can't be sent out. Kinda sucks. But I do have a new e-mail set up in the "about" section of my front page.
Hope all's well man - talking to you when the channel first started was one of the most inspiring and interesting aspects of this entire experience. You helped me more than you'll probably ever know. Still planning on visiting Australia one day, and when I do you'll be the first person I go & bother. Hahah! Also if you ever come to Florida, you gotta stop by and have an aged Camel with me! I got a pack from 1957 that I am saving for a time like that.
I don’t even smoke and I want to go to Florida and have one of these 1957 camels 🤤
the all mighty Steve has returned
Good to be back, Lowrider!
This is hands down one of my favorite youtube channels. Steve seems like a really charismatic guy
Hey Steve! Just wanna say I love the editing style you employ in these videos. It's all in the little details, the way you cut between the third person and static shot by lowering the coffee cup was great. Stuff like that really adds to the quality of the video. Love this channel.
"something leaked"
"something definitely burst in here"
Steve having flashbacks of the Polish MRE of death D:
Hey steve, I love your work. Your videos pushed me to grab a JSDF ration, and I have to say, it was quite the meal.
Hey man, nice find. JSDF's are getting hard to find nowadays since a more recent policy change in the Japanese govt's law on re-selling rations. Kindof a shame they got so hard to come by. So nice score there! All the best, man! -Steve
Dang! What a way to kick off the summer solstice!
thank you for using the esbit stove. i really enjoy that on these videos. most people skip that and i lose interest. but im really enjoy steve.
Awesome review Steve. Your descriptions are fantastic. Thanks to MRE Mountain for getting this one to you. The whole thing looked great!
Hey Steve I just had my first MRE the other day and I have to say, it was pretty NICE!
3 am ... Nice !
Hey man you're a trooper - not bad!
Steve1989MREInfo in England it's two thirty five in the morning I should sleep but I'll still watch ur vids
Adrian Hartmann 3:33am. And....nice.
Steve's voice and all the sounds of opening things and the sounds of him tasting things is so soothing to me. It's like a mix of ASMR. Not a normal channel I would watch, but I am so glad I came across it
Steve, your videos always cheer me up. Your enthusiasm for MREs and chill disposition make me so happy (:
You folded the esbit stove the wrong way. You got it right in other videos. I've always been amazed how nations will go to the expense of adding a esbit stove with every MRE. Those esbit stoves, though cheap and disposable look like it could be reused repeatedly.
The legend returns.
Steve big fan from England here just wanted to say your videos are very chilled and entertaining to watch. Wishing you all the best and thanks for all the cool vids.
Perfect timing I've been binge watching all your old reviews ... Nice!
Glad you're alive, we can't keep having these scares
Greetings from Latvia man!
Absolute quality content. Every video is filled with genuine enthusiasm and interest. Keep doing what you do. Any time I see a new video it makes my day... Nice!
i can imagine how steve uploads his vids
Steve: "lets upload this to youtube."
*uploads it*
Steve: "Nice"
Steve: "The downside is some pretty nice food you eat before you..." me: "Die"
I've gotta say, I love the look of the room you film in. I especially like the map in the background
Thanks for another great video. I love how you describe the food in such detail. Keep it up and I look forward to your next video.
That was such a nice NICE!!! that Steve said.
How does this man not have at least 1m subs?
Im from latvia, and im happy you tried our mre :)
Great to see you back, Steve! Keep up the excellent work.
Hey you're still alive! Nice.
what's great about steve... is that he isn't your usual american super picky eater that complains about everything pre-packed food and judge appropriately. As an MRE/canned food lover, I really appreciate this.
アップルパイ although you cant generalize millions of people but Americans in general are not as you said picky eaters, i lived in so many European countries and i'm here in the states since 2011 and let me say that the Americans are more open to different cultures and cuisines than Europeans or Asians .
You all can say things about generalization and stuffs, shifting the blames on those who prefer to compare how good someone based on the general situation around them, but get the facts straight. 1st of all, generalization happen because of a reason. And what's bad is to pre-judge an individual based on generalized ideas before even knowing anything about the person. And here I'm not even judging anyone. I'm praising steve for being much better than the generalized idea about american people. If you think that using generalization even with no context of an individual is bad and stuffs, then I guess all of you are just 12 y.o kids living in dream land of your youthful's "ideal world". Because in real world, we adults have no time to just sit around and assume that every single person is a special butterfly that's so far off fetched from the society to be so different from the general population's habit. But I don't really care if you're all just 12 y.o or an anti social adult, if you hate the generalization, put the blame on those who causes it (in this case, typical americans), not those who're affected by it. In a way you're doing now, it's like getting angry on a guy who is afraid of black people because coincidentally he got bullied a lot by black people thorough his childhood, saying he should not generalized and that he is a bad person for being afraid of black people. Seriously stfu, how about putting your blame on the right place?
Jesus dude, go to bed!
I really love your videos. I haven't seen one I didn't like! I especially love the way the audio comes across. Very pleasing. Hope to see plenty more videos!
Just finished both new videos and they were great. keep em coming!
how the fuck. I literally just finished eating dinner 10 minutes ago and was stuffed. started watching these, and I'm starving again.
>Look to chat
>No potato jokes
c'mon guys, keep up!
Steve you do a great job of expressing the taste of the rations I really enjoy your videos there a prelude to an appetizer before my meal
I find Steve's videos to be calming, along with informative and fun to watch. He's like the Bob Ross of MREs.
TWO UPLOADS CHRISTMAS ALREADY?!
Yes! just in time for my bed time joint. Nice to see you Steve its been a while ✌️
It's always a welcome choice to see a new Steve video.
Love your videos Steve. I was missing them. keep em coming. God bless.
haha I like how Zappa is just peering out of the shelves.
Buff food Jesus is back
👍🏽😆wtf!!!!
I'm not sure why, but watching your videos brings me so much joy. Thank you 😌
Not sure how I found your page or why I enjoy watching it so much. But keep it up, I can’t get enough. Last mre I had was 4 years old during a hurricane and it was terrible. But for some reason every video makes me hungry.
Is it raining where Steve is filming? It gives the video an extra nice comfy-cozy ambience factor.
I looked up Latvia after watching this...LATVIAN WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL WOW!...Nice work God...you too steve lol
This is probably one of the coolest channels on RUclips. Super entertaining, well edited and highly educational!
love your videos Steve, thank you for your dedication!

Gordon Ramesey: makes a loud noise in annoyance as Steve crumbles MRE crackers into his Lobster Bisque.
Steve: "Nice hiss"
I never gave two thoughts about soldiers calorie intake until I stumbled upon Steve1989's videos. Now I can't stop watching these videos and pondering the history behind MRE 's. Thanks Steve for your passion towards historic and modern MRE 's

Yay! More videos. We love your videos. So much that my kids (6, 9,) go around saying "let's get this out on a tray, nice!" It's kind of a thing around our house and an inside joke between my husband and I. Keep it up!!
