every time he says "alright lets get this out onto a tray!" and "nice, okay!" i swear to god, it brings me so much joy, please never change Steve, love the content
You know it's a good review when you have a home cooked meal finishing up two rooms away, and you're a little jelly of the guy eating MRE's on RUclips.
I do too even though I’ve never even had one. I just find them fascinating with all the stuff in them. They are lunchables for adults. They just cost too much. I was wanting a few for my birthday just so I could try some.
I love when Steve is excited, lol. He's very enthusiastic when he is. And I'll tell you what, when he dumped that rice out and it actually looked like rice, and not some kinda paste or solid mass like usual, I almost had tears in my eyes, haha. Just imagine if they could've gave the boys something like that back in the day...hell, even now. Gshultz pretty much got me into these things...then I saw GunDog, Kiwi Dude and Steve here...and I'd say Steve and G are my favorite to watch as far as style, and they keep the info and pace moving on a bit quicker and more professional than some of the others. I've only had the opportunity to try 4 M.R.E.s in my life. One a friend that was in Iraq gave me...The few others I managed to order...but I don't have much money. ..only one I'd say qualified as edible...I wasn't upset for myself, more the soldiers...imagine being shot at and then having a few minutes of calm to try to eat that stuff...it makes me sad at least. I've always wanted to try to get my hands on ones from other countries, but we are always strapped for cash and I don't trust Ebay. Amazon will have a few U.S. ones from time to time. I wish someone would do a Giveaway or something. Maybe even like an auction for a veterans charity. But regardless, I've been a fan of these channels almost since the start, and it's really sparked my interest in anything military and food related. I like how everyone is like a big family. They all trade info and send packages. It's kept me going when I had nothing else. Something to focus on. Especially when there's humor or enthusiasm. Just wanted to share I guess. Keep it up! I'll be watching one of these guys or all of them daily until there's nothing left. I've learned a lot over the years. Thank you!
Dude this is still one of my favorite videos from Steve. He’s just so excited the whole time he’s showing us this stuff it’s so nice to watch. Love this channel.
Inspired by your videos, I've just made my dad his own MRE Emergency survival ration box for his birthday, went a bit over board, spent around £80, but its fucking awesome! Got everything, and I know he's gonna love it because he got me into this sort of stuff xD So Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration, love these videos Steve!
Holy moly Steve, I just let the 13 minute in stream video ad about Chrohn's disease run full length before watching your review video, hope the revenue gets back to you! Great looking 24 hour ration choice, great review of some super fresh product. Next I think we will see you intercept a pallet of MRE's at the factory shipping dock! lol. Keep it up Steve.
Oh, trust me. Far from all of them. Some of the WW2/Vietnam era rations there's nothing edible, and there's a 1980s one with the Cheese of Death, then the PLA one that put him in the hospital.
TheDonBro Every god damn time!! In bed, watching until I doze ...and theeeeen the munchies kick-in! Why ...why I do it to myself ...'cause now, there's NO WAY I'm gonna fall without eating ...HAHAHA!
Of all the MRE review videos I have watched no one ever says how the spoons can be used like hot glue for minor repairs.Set fire to the end and let drip where needed.
31 dollars for this is absolutely amazing. my local army surplus store sells 1 8hr. m.r.e. for 20 dollars. I will be buying 10 of these. thank you Steve.
Honestly, for everything you get, that's still a really reasonable price if you have a use for something like this. Camping trips, emergency planning, what have you.
I need to buy a box of these, you never know when a big storm goes down and there is no running water or electricity to prepare food for days or weeks.
Happened here in Texas from a blowout of arctic air, millions without power for days several cities water went bad too (modern systems are power dependent)
how about (just for a once only) making your own mre, a 24 hour pack, (vitamins and have to count calories and enough protein too!) from supermarket available items? be some accessible fun for us
+Joshua Harlow hard to tell, he seems to like almost everything! the hard part of the ration isnt just enough food, its a nutritional balance, plus whod want bathroom troubles when out if the field! sure we could 'survive' on chocolate biscuits and tinned meat, dread to think what that would do to you on day 2 onwards. i am interested in the science of mre's that is enough calories, protein and other nutrients to not just survive, or you could just have pure calories (and they do have emergency rations for that) its also about proving enough interest that you will eat all of it, not cherry pick,
the problem is your home kitchen isn't sanitary enough to make these types of rations, closest you can get is canning/perserveing (like making jam) your own meals, but those still won't have the lifespan of these professionally made ones. If you just want to eat nutritionally balanced meals at home, check out Soylent.
masonjam i actually meant buying stuff that already exists, such as supermarket equivalents and making your own pack, and i dont just mean the meals, both to cover all the nutrients supplied in the real mre, plus accesories and smaller items, theres a science to mres, calories, protein and other vitamins, its not just a wad of calories or easy to eat or carry food.
jusb1066 the spanish mre comes with canned fish, caned spanish stews, jam and preserved fruit, and those items you can buy them easily in supermarkets...
for $31 shipped to your door, I think this may be my new "go to" for MRE's. The amount of food in one of those could feed you more than well enough for 24 hours. The price to product ratio is just too good to pass up!
MRE looks tasteful than from the restaurant xD Steve said this is the best MRE ever, because he always ate 10-60 years ago vintage ration that make sense
Steve1989 MREinfo you've trained your taste buds so well if you were forced to eat human flesh I'm pretty sure you'd like it lol. You like everything xD

I'm not sure I'll ever understand why these videos are so satisfying. I have zero interest in this shit in the slightest but for some reason these are some of most looked toward videos in all my subs
I don't know what it is but I really enjoy watching you ration reviews and can't help but watch with a smile. They're just perfect, your technique is so natural I guess. Having served in the British Army for eight years its interesting to see other types of rations, even from 1942!
Heck even just regular single meal MREs have enough stuff to last maybe three days for me, I bet I could stretch one of these out for two weeks possibly.
I don’t mean for this post to be long but holy fuck you are a genius. I enjoy your videos because of how great you inform us of these. I’m fascinated that now I’m curious of buying rations and definitely buying a few for when I go camping. This is a game changer and the company just made billions with this review.
I love your enthusiasm in these videos. Just a man who genuinely loves something exploring it. For sure, whichever group of survivors runs across Steve in the zombie apocalypse is hitting the wastelander lottery! I'd actually really love to see someone cast you to play an MRE sommelier in a movie or tv show.
This episode is basically Steve getting the MRE feast we want to see and he deserves.
Hell yeah man!
Hey Bush how ya doing?
Mission Accomplished
Black Eye I wish I would have seen that haha
Oh the constipation he will get!!
every time he says "alright lets get this out onto a tray!" and "nice, okay!" i swear to god, it brings me so much joy, please never change Steve, love the content

It reminds me of klesh guitars when he puts his paydirt in a pan. He throws it in and says "Nice!"
Mmkay!
Same that's why i watch his channel lol

"ehh, it takes like watered down orange juice... In a good way!" This guy is always so positive man.

When MRE'S are better than your school lunch.

Wuty school lunches are old MRE's from the cold war
Wuty MRE'S cost more than school lunch. They're also designed for adults.
When MRE's are better than half of the food in your house

i feel he deserved this fresh MRE 😂 after eating all of those spoiled ones for our entertainment. You enjoy that meal Steve.
goddamnit i have to stop watching these at midnight makes me hungry haha
Chauvasaur Gaming
Literally just watched this at midnight and now I really have the munchies
That's the only time I watch them
It's how I get an appitite
Gotta watch while you eat that's the trick
Chauvasaur ME TOO🤣🤣
i still can't understand my fascination with watching you consume MRE's

he is usually so even-keeled, but in this video he seems so excited ... its kinda weird
i noticed that,
@@johnrockett5155 there is a difference between excited and happy lol.
Advert...?
He's usually happy when the ration runs smooth, its usually when a bad ration thats a bust when you notice the change in Steve's mood.
Yeah I felt the same way. Almost like he was paid by them or something. The description for the video also reads like a copy-paste paid product ad
You are the Bob Ross of MREs
This is a beautiful comment.
Reynir Gretarsson mother of God you are sooo spot on brother and I giggled
Reynir Gretarsson you Swedish
I was actually thinking the same thing myself
Now, let's check these beautiful little food packs...

agreed that was good rice, not the stodgy mess that is the usual result, try some quick cook uncle bens and its all stuck together
Dude this is still one of my favorite videos from Steve. He’s just so excited the whole time he’s showing us this stuff it’s so nice to watch. Love this channel.
I strangely thought of him going to the army. If he did, I can imagine him commenting on the ration and people looking at him awkwardly.
Smells
He ll make people fed up with rations que in for more
Ok, guys. I got four oatmeal cookies. It's got a buttery overtone lol
Kerry Stewart still a little bit soft.
*Crunch*
Amazing.
He'd be the MRE Yelp critic

Paul Buikema they get the revenue after you watch 30 seconds of any ad
So if ad blocker is on and you don't see any ad playing do they still get paid ?
Mad Mardigan nope they don't get any money from those using ad blockers
Enjoy my non money!
Mad Mardigan no
Damn it Steve, I'm supposed to be sleeping, but when I watch your videos, I want to eat
Lord Gaben same here xD
Lord Gaben why are you not sleeping
He's up thinking about whether or not to pull the pin on Half Life 3
I live for the "let's get this out onto a tray. Nice" haha..it makes my day ALWAYS!
M. Aaron Sowers. agreed
I open the RUclips app and there are two fresh MRE reviews..
Nice!
"That's one of the best things I've ever tasted out of an MRE." Said in every video. Lol
Oh, trust me. Far from all of them. Some of the WW2/Vietnam era rations there's nothing edible, and there's a 1980s one with the Cheese of Death, then the PLA one that put him in the hospital.

Samuel same here man.

Of all the MRE review videos I have watched no one ever says how the spoons can be used like hot glue for minor repairs.Set fire to the end and let drip where needed.

same for a pen or anything else plastic

Well not really, I don't know about the white one but the brown mre spoons are made of a resin.
that's pretty neat
yes really, I could melt that plastic bag down to repair something if needed. think about MACGYVER
Your positivity is contagious. Its simular to a goldenreiver that is going for a ride in the back of a truck.
Or a cat that saw you with a can of tuna... True story lol
I always love seeing someone so passionate about their hobby.
I was so relieved when the fruit punch found redemption after the second stir.
Turns out the food is pretty decent if you're not trying to eat stuff that's 20 years old, huh ;)?
31 dollars for this is absolutely amazing. my local army surplus store sells 1 8hr. m.r.e. for 20 dollars. I will be buying 10 of these. thank you Steve.
still not bad the little pack of water is fairly smart.
