- Top 5 Reasons WHY the BMW M4 G82 & BMW M3 G80 switch hands so Quickly! What other reasons do you have or know of?
I personally have a lot of positivity for this new G Generation of BMW. However I do not have faith for the coming Hybrid and Full Electric models. Therefor I'm out!
These are the reasons I noticed the most among G8X Owners in person and online in bmw forums, bmw facebook groups etc.

The thing about buying these cars is that once the warranty is out you realize it’s not worth putting 15k for a transmission
From what I've seen on the used market, 90-97% of M3/4s I've seen for sale used are iDrive 7 & RWD. My theory, most people don't mind paying over MSRP for cars or losing a bit buying/reselling with low miles. So when the xDrive came out, a lot switched and the same with iDrive 8. That probably helped for those on the fence for the xDrive alone.
RWD to xdrive is definitely better since you can swap it from AWD to RWD, best of both worlds. In my opinion idrive 7 is way more driver oriented and sporty compared to idrive8
The reason I had to sell the car was because when I ordered it I was really skinny, small enough to fit in the seats. Then when I got the car I fell in love with sweets and fast food before I knew it I was over 400 lbs spending 5k a month on food. I couldn’t fit in the seat and had to sell. Sad day I loved the car 😢

I'm not selling mine anytime soon either. Mine is one of the last 2022's built before the model year change over. It is a 6-speed manual, Isle of M Green with the moonroof, and Tartufo brown full leather interior. I've had it 4 months now and I'm loving it. It is definitely a keeper. : )
Sounds like a beautiful spec! They don't make that interior color anymore right? These are the best sports cars to date
i have a g80 manual. i do alot of track work with it on the nurburgring especially and i would say it's the best car i ever had. my previous car was even a 991.2 gt3 manual

this car is bonkers, but eventually you get used to every cart and then you think about selling and getting something else. sometimes I regret not going with the ZF, only to find out on a country road that I have plenty more fun with the manual.
Everything has its positives and negatives...but we have to be honest here: from and engineering perspective BMW made a aboloute massiv car ! if you want better you have to go to porsche, and then you are on a totally different price range (always considering similar spec etc.).
BMW definetely goes with a last big hurra from the ICE's....
Well said! You definitely get used to anything and think about some other next car lol all a matter of time, each with their own time frame. Porsche is definitely my next goal also 😂 at the minimum a 991.2 carrera GTS

I love the manuel! If you don't need absolute speed, the thrill and exhilaration of rowing your own gears at speeds and around corners magnifies the enjoyment of the M3/4. Even better if you're in a high revving NA engine!

Yes 19s all around! I have the carbon bucket seats haha but i love them. Wouldn't pick it any other way
19" and 20" forged wheels as standard here in europe. With 275 and 285 PilotSport 4S (the M3 version) or Pirelli.
@@302ci1968 of course! I was referring to the Apex set up. I believe it was confirmed to be 19” all around in this set but I don’t remember. I would personally do 19” square, 285/35/19 for my set up.

I had an E90 daily driver purchased new that was delivered in Feb09. The absolute most reliable BMW ever made! Had 110K miles and pretty much gas and go, drives like it just came from the dealer. Everything was tight as hell. Just replaced a couple of fuel sensors. Until last spring, idiot 60YO Mr. Rodriquez, ran a red light and no insurance. Now I am about to order a G80, but still very disappointed BMW got rid of the S65 motor. My E90 had original bearings and was oil tested yearly. Man, I loved the E90, not the most powerful but it used what it had supremely efficiently. I wouldn't mind a naturally aspirated 911 except I like the size and four doors. Just ranting, I am sure I will appreciate the G80 for it's virtues as well once I daily drive it.
That's pretty cool you got to order a E90 M3 brand new. G80 is much more technological advanced and comfortable but may not have the same soul..
Back then BMW had European deliveries and a 15% discount to boot!!! Unfortunately I was too busy working. I took the invoice price, about $3500 under msrp and called it a day. I even missed the Spartansburg track delivery. Back then shipping from Bremerhaven port (I believe) took only 1 month and a month and a half to build.
This is not a great video. Arguments can be applied to other products as well. Bought a hamburger but wanted a taco. Then go buy a taco. Hamburger is too expensive. Then don't buy one.

Too long, Too wide, Too fat. "BIG" seems to be the automotive trend. Cosmetic side, that Grille just festers.Have to admit the "CS" version is temping but not at 120K. Nice short clip.
People either seem to forget or they don't realize that the M3/4 are not really sports cars, they are actually a Grand Tourer. If you want a true sports car get a Porsche, or a Lotus a best bang for your buck cheap sportscar!

This is why I wont buy a used bmw, ever. 6k rpm on a dead cold engine. The pipper wasn't even at 160 yet on the cluster. Only about 1% of german car owners actually care enough to warm up the engine before getting on it.
I don't launch out of my garage 😂 I let it sit and drive for total 10 mins before doing anything above 3k rpm. Never had any issues buying used cars where most don't let it warm up
@@Benji.Danecker Just going off what I see at 1:14. Engine temp pipper isn't even showing yet and RPM is still limited to 6k on a 7.2k redline engine. Either way it's your car enjoy it however you want to!

The only thing that is shit on this model, is the grill looking like a 🐽 . Otherwise its an amazing machine.

Write down everything you can think of and try most of them with low budgets see what bites haha

This question is easy!! The reason they are selling them because they are ugly.. they though they could get over the horrific front and massive weight and size.. it’s huge for a M3/4… after driving them for a month they have no soul.. I say dump it… horrible design
It's not a bad car but it's not as raw as a 911 or so which gives it less soul that's true! Probably selling it lol

I really enjoyed my auto dct F82, weird. Some ppl just like manual over everything though. I really want a manual car eventually too

Just asked every Dealer in Arizona who has an allocation available & they were all at MSRP. Probably because I also had to wait and order it. They sold them over msrp already done, no wait

You have to have a good income I would just buy a 911 for 100K and not a bmw but you get what you buy if you can’t afford a G80 don’t get the car🤣
You get a lesser 911 for $100K compared to the G82. The actual better 911s are starting at $130-140K so that's almost a 50% bump from the new M4. That's my next goal, something in the mid $100Ks but need to raise my income lol
I'd rather have an M4 than a base 911, you can get more from your money aside from feel. 911 T and up may be a different story
I was looking at the T but I think I want atleast a 991.2 GTS. Up to then M4 is way better
