    I've owned and operated a cleaning business since 2006, and I can say for certain, that having a clean kitchen sink is an essential component of a clean kitchen. It really sets the stage for what the rest of the room looks like. So, in this video, I take you through how to clean your kitchen sink-the way I teach my cleaning staff how to clean a kitchen sink.

    Hey Melissa! As always thank you for the video! Since you showed me the trick with the baking soda dawn dish soap, and essential oils to clean you are the only cleaning channel I trust. No offense to the others. It's definitely only you! Lol my son is really sick with a cold right now and I immediately came home from work pulled clean my space up and found a DIY for disinfectant. I made it immediately and sprayed everything down, and do it once a day. As for next thing to professionally clean..... I don't know it doesn't really matter. Have you watched her previous videos for glass stove tops and laminate floors? More tips would be great but idk if she will do the same content again.
      Anyway in her previous glass stove top video she suggested spreading baking soda in an even layer across the stove top, then laying a hot damp towel over it for a while. Then gently wipe/carefully scrub clean.
      It works amazingly, I loved cleaning my glass stove top like that, it was so much easier than anything else I tried, after I would just spray some natural glass cleaner to make it gleam and wipe that off, and it was perfect.
      I can't recall her tips for laminate off the top of my head but I know she has at least a couple videos talking about caring for laminate and different diy cleaners for that purpose.
      Just wanted to share in case she doesn't make new videos on the topic. 😊

    I would love to know how to clean long neglected areas. My mom recently passed away and although she was a cleaning machine most of my life, she wasn’t able to maintain her home over the past few years. I’m currently trying to clean the kitchen and the grime stuck to things like baseboards and tiles just isn’t shifting. It’s almost like it’s sticky and won’t budge. So I guess my request (after that too long explanation) is how would a professional clean areas that have not been properly cleaned in years? BTW...you look beautiful! You have grown so much as a person, a mother, and as a RUclipsr. I've watched you for years and have learned more from you and Chad then I did the first 60 years of house cleaning. My things that I would like to see cleaned like a pro would be a crystal chandelier and the aluminum along the runner in a shower. I love my chandeliers but after a year of just dusting they have lost their luster. The shower door is gross with buildup that has hardened on the glass and aluminum at the bottom of the door. No one will touch it so I'm left to figure out what to do!. Keep up the great work and kiss the baby for me!

      Easy Off Bam, if you're in Australia. I had that very problem with a house I purchased. I tried everything to get rid of the build up of 20 years of soap scum, dust and (ahem) tar from smoking inside... Everything on this channel, I even used a putty knife to try and scrape it off.. But the thing that worked like a knife through softened butter was Easy Off Bam. The shower looked like new with just a wipe after leaving it on for five minutes.

    I noticed the space behind your sink between the counter and backsplash (the seam) looked off color. I have this problem, the calk line, it gets yucky but I'm not sure how to clean it because at times when I've tried to clean it the calk has started to peel away (we have painted walls and laminate counter top so our calk is a rubbery substance). Maybe the only solution when that happens is to recalk?

    • @kaelaleedaley
      @kaelaleedaley 5 лет назад +4

      In our experience, it's time to re-caulk. It does discolour or wear away (especially around the sink) so reapplication in required. I try to wipe this area after doing dishes to keep everything dry. We have a metal strip next to our sink (on a join) and although this is sealed, we've seen how damaging it can be for the work-surface if water gets under there (warping and expansion of the work surface itself becoming unusable/unhygienic - the previous tenant wasn't able to keep good care of the home) xx

      @@sherriemyles2776 I don't know what kind of baseboards you have but you can try one of those mops with a sponge head. You spray the sponge with your cleaner (same for the walls, tub). I just use a swiffer duster with the long handle for the baseboards once a week and I don't have to bend over. Mine don't get dirty just dusty.

    Hi Melissa, just wanted to say the yellow blouse was a good idea and your hair looks great! I purchased your microfiber cloths back in December when you had your sale and all I can say is AMAZING!! I really wasn't sure it would make a big difference but I was quickly proven wrong, a glass T.V. stand that I could never get lint free is now SPOTLESS! I love your videos but I am disabled and struggle to clean and keep up with things, any help would be great because it's really a struggle most of the time and I can't afford a cleaning service. Look forward to your next video🤩💕

    • @mollydecker6631
      @mollydecker6631 5 лет назад +2

      Autumn Hamsters most everything can either be washed in the washing machine or the dish washer. For things that can’t 50/50 water and vinegar won’t hurt pets (once dry).

    • @caryulmer5578

      Autumn Hamsters The trick to cleaning pet things is to make it quick, easy & effective so it gets done. Basically anything you would feel safe using for your kids is ok for pets, but here are some tips to make it easy & save you time. Dog/cat beds can be vacuumed to remove excess hair, & most washed in a washing machine (unless it's a dog bed that's too big to fit.) Same for cloth type toys. Generally dog beds have removable covers that can be washed in your washing machine for larger beds. Add oxyclean for any unbleachable ones, use bleach for any that are color safe for it because bleach kills viruses etc. Any cleaner is ok for dishes but make sure you rinse them very well. Same with plastic toys. If they are especially dirty soak them in oxyclean first. The real essential thing is rinse very well. For wiping surfaces, such as cages & kennels, use Clorox wipes. Litter boxes, clean with bleach. Bleach is actually a very good cleaner to use wherever possible for pets, it's cheap, cleans well & kills viruses to protect your pet's health. As you would do for humans, always rinse very well.

      the best way I have found is with vinegar. Bring your water level very low, and then add pure vinegar to cover beyond the ring. You can also add a little water if you have not reached the ring, but the ring must be covered with the vinegar. Let it soak over night. The next day, just brush with a toilet brush and it should come off. Pumice stones can scratch the porcelain in your toilet, so I would not use it.
