- Today I am planting our very first tomato plants, Celebrity plus, in the main garden. These plants were started back in February of this year, and up potted 4 weeks ago. The fear of frost should be over but we can cover if needed.

Glad you like them!
Haha I don’t live too far away from you in Kentucky and I know about that summer humidity. I jumped the gun a little and planted my tomatoes and it’s going to get down close to freezing this week, argh. Should be the last cold front as my last frost is April 31 and the 10 day forecast is looking favorable. You’ve become one of my favorite channels to watch. May Jesus favor you and yours abundantly.
Same here 39 degrees tonight, then it looks good for the next 10 days, thanks for watching!
Good video, no till growers just put out a video about tomato trellising methods you may like. The clipyr was his preferred method as well!
I will check it out
Good afternoon we live maybe a lil south of you we’re in southeast Louisiana I’m 68 and saying that I find things to make planting and farming a lil easier I just wanted to share this with you after I burn the holes in the ground cover I use a 4” auger on a cordless drill to dig my holes for fertilizer and plants thanks for your videos we really enjoy them,God Bless
I usually use an auger when doing field tomato's, I wore my last one out, need to get a new one.
Try 42 Day tomatoes sometime. Never seen a tomato produce so fast or so much in hot weather conditions.
I will definitely look those up, thanks
@@LickBranchFarms Yeah check them out and maybe grow a few to see. Checked one of my plants that is about 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 foot. It has 40 golf ball size tomatoes ripening on it. They are the first to produce in my garden and have good classic flavor. No cracking or blossom end rot either. Golf ball size is their usual ripening size. They stand the heat well also.
Morning! Still a couple weeks away from planting tomatoes outside here but enjoying the video!
Thank you for watching!
Quick question, I noticed that you didn't spread out the roots of the tomatoes before planting. Have you found it isn't necessary with tomatoes?
I haven't noticed a negative effect from not "teasing" roots, thanks for watching!
What kind of fertilizer do you use on your tomatoes on the drip system?
4-18-38 and a 15-0-0 Calcium Nitrate
@@LickBranchFarms thanks how often do you fertilize if you don’t mind me asking?
I try to fertilize every 3 days, sometimes less when the plants are young but while they are fruiting, every 3 days
@@LickBranchFarms thank you so much that’s a big help
How do u use liquid in your irrigation
You use an injector or a siphon it mixes liquid fertilizer with water as your irrigating
