- For the record. Showcasing all the weapons from the first Call of Duty game for consoles. Call of Duty: Finest Hour! Developed by Spark Unlimited. Later known for Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and Legendary game. CoD Finest Hour is running in 4K on XEMU Xbox emulator for PC. The game apparently cost $8mil to develop. This was the aproximate final budget. From what i can tell, the game's gun sounds are mostly remixes from Call of Duty 1 weapons. Check them out!

This is the very first cod game I ever played and still love it to this day
Same
Same
YEAH BUT WHO ASKED
Don't be hating
@@gangpro353 ew, cringe. also, same
0:22 I love how the Sten mag release is actually animated.
For a game this old, having small animations like the DP27's pan rotating and strikers on bolt action rifle moving is phenomenal. Great job
Moreee detailed then Cod ww2 2017
@@The_Native_wolfAK So, bad animations from old games are better than smooth and fluid animations?
@@Nsodnoajdjksl these animations aren't bad though. They're pretty good for their time.
@@BlackLotusVisualArchive so, robotic and stiff reloads are better than smooth and fluid animations?
@@Nsodnoajdjksl Gun animation doesn't need fluid and smooth all the time , this game even have robotic animation it's still give player satisfied
Seeing the DP28 for the first time as a kid was probably the most alien WW2 LMG I've ever seen.
Dinner Plate 28
0:20 Sten magazine release is also animated? 1:20 Rotation pan DP-27, and bolt slamming forward on bolt-action rifles, this was not normal in 2004, it was amazing work back then.
Don't forget the firing pins of the 98k, Nagant, M1903 and Enfield either 😁
For a mildly average budget console game made in ~2005, they have pretty good sound design. Like this metallic ringing of the M1919 here 3:47, reminds me of a machine gun in BF1 with the similar reloading sound.
Also the magazine plate spinning at 1:21
Or probably that's how it actually sounds?
@@hogyalbani3288 Maybe unrealistic but it sounds cool
Budget console game. What?? Modders can do more than this if you give them 1 mil.
@huytungnguyen119 fun fact about the m1917 browning MG
(the Gun one you're referring to)
The m1919 is actually just an air-cooled version of it
So that's why it sounds like that
All that changed between 1917 and 1919 MGs was the barrel type
1:21 the pan mag actually moves
Fun Fact: All machine gun weapons have an integral bipod that can be deployed in the prone. This not only mitigates the high recoil of these high damage weapons, but also allows the player to partially 'aim' weapons like the MG42 and M1919A6 which otherwise can't be aimed from the hip. It has been years since I last played but I am certain the weapon model pivoted on the bipod depending on the direction of the camera. Overall very advanced gameplay for the time that played well with the strengths and limitations of such weapons.
I think, this game, is the only CoD game where the player aim the Thompson with a circular peep sight than the other CoD games aiming it with the notch sight
The peep hole is meant for longer range engagements, 100+ yards. The top notch is for close range engagements. By aiming through the peep hole, you force the muzzle of the gun slightly higher in the air for a sharper parabolic arc. I would call using the peep hole an inaccuracy since most engagements in this game happen at very close range, but it's not a big one.
Is nobody gonna talk about how he reloads the Lee Enfield with the magazine 💀
I've done a little research and it seems to be correct.
Although it was not the most common way to recharge, it was possible
Specifically this is version No.4 Mk1
Nice, I like to see more of niche console spin off CoD titles
I always thought the bolt action animation on the Lee Enfield was incorrect until I slowed this video down.
The nosin brings back so many memories from this game
One of the best BAR's in early WW2 video games. probably the best. So many failed to get that one accurate. MOH Frontline's BAR was laughable.
The player didn't press the magazine release tho, so COD 2: Big Red One and 3 got the reload animation more correct
I love that BAR sound, so chunky
A yes, the memories, so beautiful memories ❤️🔥
Ah, the animations and the SFX.
That brings me back.
The PPSh-41 muzzle flash can almost act as a flamethrower!
so nice seeing people saying this was their first cod.
One of my favorit cod games
Spero che faranno alcune remastered di questi giochi
i love how you can see bullet strikes on the skybox in some maps
my first call of duty. Still holds up well to this day. they don't make em like they used to
People say that for every game.
Game looks very good for its age, but it doesn't feel very well aged when you play it : (
Many 2000s error like open-bolt SMGs become close-bolt SMGs, but that dust cover of the Grease gun doesn't flop! Yes! And the BAR's charging handle is dome correctly in this CoD port? Wow, that does surprise me.
This is one of the few cod games that actually get the PPSh-41’s open bolt design correct (albeit the sound is still wrong), even WAW failed at that
My first call of duty ever played. I remember when I play that in my ps2
I always thought the Enfield rifle had a weird noise, it literally sounds like it's saying "akee!".
fun fact there is a hidden dp28 gun in the mission Dead In Her Sights in one of the sewer rooms hidden under the stairs
I’ve been looking for that for fucking years I always find the ammo pickups for it. But never found the dp28 itself
Nice
I miss the MG42 sound in the older COD franchise
My first call of duty on gamecube
My first fps online shooter was this game, I remember you had to type in your gamer tag each time you wanted to play so people sometimes will impersonate someone else 😂
old-fashioned titles! Great ! 😁
So much better then Vanguard
The rate of fire on the lee Enfield 😆
I mean its far from implausable considering the action, its the reload thats cursed
Beatifull video
These guns are actually more accurate than WWII and Vanguard in terms of sound and animation
Just pretend we didn't see the Lee Enfield in this game though.
This game always seemed like it was in slow-motion.
Wouldn't the Mosin Nagant in this game actually be a Finnish M39?
Yep, funny enough they get the Russian Mosin correct with the sniper variant.
Maybe that was a stylistic choice. "Because it looks cool". Same reason they have you reload the Lee Enfield with the magazine, its possible and it looks cool, but in reality no one really did it back then
It’s a Finnish m28/30
I remember this game when pissed at British and American campaign
Why is every video I find for this game using a stretched out format?
I fucking miss this game
XD the Thompson doesn't recoil as much as the player's hands do.
I never had this game… played the shit out of big red 1 though
Played both and loved both
Mosin Nagant 2:27
i never finished this game, because of this F*CKING escorting tank mission
Dude saaamme! I could never beat it!
Road to victory next xD
Still better than vanguard lol
But the animations aren't
@@eliteforce3867 The only employee that has the RUclips channel is Falco Blockland because he made other animations in his channel, it proves that he'll live.
(If you disagree with me, go look up Falco Blockland)
Call of duty 3 more glitchy on playstation 3
Where’s the StG 44?????
There were no StG-44 in this game. And also, this game were no used sidearm weapons, though you can see the Soviet Comissar holding it on the first level
This COD game has no handguns and shotguns.

Not saying Vanguard is a good game, but I know that there is gonna be that one dude who keeps saying this is better than Vanguard.

This game is years light better than Vanguard!
Somehow the weapons are portrayed more accurately than VG.
@@inspecthergadget4503 Better directing, ig.
But the robotic animation in COD Finest Hour are low budget.
Better than Cod Vanguard
But the animations aren't.
@@eliteforce3867 not the animation team

Having modern day tactical reloads in ww2 is not better
If anything robotic but accurate reloads are better than smooth Inaccurate reloads
These games are nearly 20 years apart and Cod:FH got everything except graphics over vanguard
@@mEmEzMaN... no, I'm referring normal (not tactical) reloads with Hyper's style.

is nobody seriously gonna talk about the SMLE reload? i know it could be done that way but like, seriously? who reloads it like that
You can’t reload it like that, it’s fake
@@Panzerjäger_23 You can reload it like that. The SMLE was equipped with a removable magazine for easy maintenance iirc, obviously wasn't used like a magazine is nowadays because they were seen as too expensive to mass-produce so each rifle was equipped with 1, and instead loaded with stripper clips
Nice
