Maybe it's because this was my first Call of Duty, but there's something oddly enticing about the animations. They feel heavy in a way, not always ridiculously fast, as if the operator is making damn sure the action they're performing is going to work. A special standout I like is the bolt-action ADS animations, because with those old rifles you can't keep your sight picture or you'd hit your face with the bolt. I'd love to see this sort of thing with a few timing tweaks and modern model quality. As a quick side note, the multiplayer M191A6 is missing, which features a belt and a dedicated reload.

By the way i already played cod 3 on XBOX360. Its not bad, but could be better. I think I'm going to download it again on console with very "illegal" ways.

Possibilities are endless.
It's one of the best reloads in this game which isn't saying much since these reloads are pure ass. The 2 previous CODs did an infinitely better job. Treyarch even basically admitted this when World At War came out and literally reused all of the reload animations from COD 2, whereas not a single COD 3 reload animation was reused

I remember originally playing the PS2 version that I had online on my brothers backwards compatible ps3 back in 2007 or 08 before finally getting my own PS3 and that version of the game lol

@Stefano Colbertelli yeah, I think the same way. 8 months to deliver a AAA FPS that was starting to gain a lot of attention and even killing Medal of Honor is insane. It even set a mechanic we are all thankful for, throwing grenades back. Before that, all you could do was pray.

This really pisses me off. The game was made by the same developer as WaW, but WaW doesn't get the reload animations and gunshot sound effects as good as CoD 3? CoD 3 got an accurate reload animation for the BAR, and WaW still retains that incorrect animation from CoD and CoD 2. I have no idea what they were thinking or what happened.

Possible but that technique was never used in WW2 the technique was remove empty mag pull charging handle or in vanguard charging handle back empty mag out new mag in charging handle pulled forward

I think WAW used the same engine that IW used to develop games. I think the IW engine was used for cod 1, 2 but cod 3 had Treyarchs own engine. When they changed to the IW engine for WAW maybe it was easier to use assets from cod 1,2 since they were the same engine
CoD 3 and CoD WAW were both made by Treyarch. They mostly made new assets for WAW but some (like the Gewehr 43) look like they were reused from CoD 3. In the mission Black Cats, there's an easter egg pinup near the radio guy with Huxley in it
The reload animations are so goofy in this with how your character flails the gun around the screen, and is also unaturally fast with his movements. Even COD 1 had better reload animations, COD 2's obviously blew them out of the park aswell.
It is bullshit that they didn't release this for PC. They could have gotten around to it, but no. Gotta crank out Infinite Warfare, Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, Ghosts and Vanguard.
It was a shit game and a forgettable one most at the time stuck with cod2 and when cod 4 was released the game was quickly abandoned. It didn’t help that it was developed in 8 months a pc port wouldn’t have helped either.

I believe the "fumbling" is the character activating the magazine release. It's a push button inside the trigger guard.

I must say the sound quality is a big step up. Those firing sounds especially are really punchy.
Still wish we had a PC port of this.

It feels so bizarre hearing the reload sounds I knew from World at War in this game.
Since both were developed by Treyarch. CoD 3 also has a lot of explosion effects that are latter used in WaW.

I think some of the weapon models are later retextured and put into World At Wars, which is also a Treyarch's game.
They recycled textures from cod 2 and even United offensive
