I mean it's not that bad tho, but they just released it at the wrong timing when the fans are tired seeing futuristic cod title

Imagine you are fighting a war in the space but then one of the enemy soldier pulls out an MP-28, a weapon that was invented 2 centuries ago

What an underrated cod game, people shat on it because the game came at the wrong time, if it was released at a time when futuristic cod games were loved I am sure people would have really like it. InfinityWard tried to innovate something new like a cod game in space they thought people might like the idea at the time. I myself when the gameplay teaser was made public I wasn't very interested about it, rather my interest was on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered but then activision made a bull move that was requiring people who want to buy cod:mwr they have to pay for cod:iw also which is more than 60 dollars and people got real mad. However, sometime after playing cod:mwr and I played cod: iw campaign and it was a fun but depressing story. I begged my cousin to play with me the zombies mode for cod:iw and I actually liked it because it kinda fresh but the multiplayer was an ok-ish mode. Fun fact: cod:iw was the first cod game to feature the holding of a grenade with the left hand while holding your gun with the right hand mechanic, the same mechanic InfinityWard has used in cod: mw 2019 and cod: mw2 2022.
I think the later installments on COD:M has this feature. I know cuz' i played it.

Interesting fun fact if you have the Dexterity perk equipped most of the reload animations are entirely different instead of just being sped up.
It really is kind of a shame how this game got shafted simply because it was the last of a trio of advanced movement games. Definitely one of my favorite cod titles to date.

AW was fun. Ghosts fucking sucks, and the funny thing was that I liked it back then but after trying to get back into it I realised how boring it really is, and the story was just bad. I did like the different setting and idea though, but could've been better executed.
Never played it myself, but I think this game is a great showcase of what a futuristic Space Force would be like in a sci-fi setting. Maybe it's just the military geek or Star Wars fan in me overriding my reasoning, but from what I've seen in the gameplay and this showcase, it just tickles my fancy a bit 😆
No this Game Its Shit
I blame this game for unintentionally opening my eyes to the Mass Effect and Ace Combat franchises (Which I'm very grateful for). Shooting and Dogfighting with jets in space. This game isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. It's actually quite refreshing to see. Also Eth3N is one of the best bros in gaming.

Love the little detail on the dcm-9 with the scratches where the mag is inserted
Realistic reload for the Rack-9 and the S-Ravage (Spas-12). Given they’re the same animation the character is holding the carrier latch which allows the rounds to be inserted into the magazine tube
I could see these weapons in Starfield as a Weapon Pack.

I kind of like the idea of the Longbow with the bolt handle being the grip. You don't need to let go with your shooting hand to cycle the bolt.
Anyone shitting on IW in 2016 missed a truly great game.

I can tell the KBAR 32 took some inspiration from Killzone's M82 assault rifle.
It is actually a futuristic version of the MTAR from modern warfare 2

IW is so underrated
Hopefully some of these weapons would make it to COD Mobile arsenal so long as it's not energy ones. So far, they only have IW assets such as op skills from that game (i.e Ballista, Bull charge, Claw, Equalizer, Grav Vortex gun), the operators themselves like FTL, Merc, Synaptic and Phantom, as well as a Raven for dropping in to BR and a Jackal that you can fly there. I'm thinking that they would add:
- Kendall 44
- Hornet
- Hailstorm
- KBAR 32
- KBS Longbow
- Trek 50
- G-Rail (which would be interesting as it's a railgun. I imagine that it will fire in semi auto by default, however you can charge the projectile by holding the firing button)
Sound design in this game was on point.

Seeing the Rack-9 and OSA with the white paint i think of district 9 which could have been a sick game too or Elysium which seeing the Volk i thought of the AK with the added parts that fired the airburst rounds that trashed the robots that were in the crashed airship

This cod has some of the best guns and gun gimmicks ever in a cod game. Looking back now it was overhated back in 2016 in all honesty.

What Infinite Warfare got right was the futuristic weapons, attachments, equipment and kill streaks. Even if they aren't good, they are somewhat interesting. Shame they went crazy with the lootboxes and gave us more exo movements.

Kinda suprised about multiple things. First, how many pistols look like GLOCK DERIVATIVES. And second, how nobody has made a Bullpup rifle with an M4 style T charging handle mountdd on the top.

They should've borrowed heavily from Battlefield 2142 and other popular far off future games and movies also ripping off the weapons from Elysium with Matt Damon would've been a good idea as well not to mention scifi classics like the M56 smartgun from aliens and the phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range from Terminator. That would've made a cool game for being set in 2187 A.D.

This game was an unfortunate victim of releasing at the wrong time and the devs were in such a tricky position because the hate for futuristic CoD games was right when they were already in the middle of development, if they released the game they were screwed but if they scrapped it all and rushed out a game that wasn't futuristic they were also screwed
Really feel bad for the devs of Infinite Warfare but also the game itself wasn't that bad
Both Rack 9 and S-Ravage are both the same guns. The former is just a Spas with a new shell
The s-ravage was added as a reference to a youtuber which mained the spas in cod titles before
they didn't just take inspiration from today's guns but straight up copied them.
Infinite warfare was actually a pretty good game to be honest

No joke, this is in my top ten favorite COD games. Truly the most underrated in the entire franchise.
I blame the Battlefield fanboys (fueled by EA fanning the flames) and the previous two future COD games for all the unjustified hate it got.
