I mean, Lucas didn't originally plan for Vader to be Luke's father either but at least he didn't constantly contradict himself, I liked this trilogy but it could have been so much better had they hired the same director and writers for all 3 movies...
On a serious note. I love how Anakin threw Palps into the pit. It actually would be an *ALMOST* decent way to end this dumpster-fire of a movie/trilogy. It's like Palpatine thought he could escape being killed by Anakin, but even in death he would face the pit.

Truth be told i allways found even ORIGINAL Palpatines death so unbelievable. Vader lifts him up and bas. carry him to big hole and then threw him down, then he is falling down for how long ..... ?!? I think it's because the "I learned it from watching you" line was paying homage to a famous anti-drug PSA where the dad finds drugs in his son's room and asks "Who told you to use drugs?" and the kid responds with "YOU ALRIGHT!? I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU!"
It was famous because you'd think it was a bad influence from school, but the twist here is said bad influence was actually his own father. It was so famous that people made parodies of it even to this day.

After the suffering Palpatine put anakin through in the Prequel trilogy, it was hugely satisfying to see Qui Gon and Ahsoka be the first 2 jedi to cut him into squares with lightsabers!
That long “but this is how it REALLY should have ended” sequence is probably my favorite HISHE sequence EVER. From Palpatine coaching the Sith choir; to all of the Jedi ghosts showing up; Anakin just chilling with his arms around his fam; “Palps is a GRANDPAPPY!” “Execute order fall and go splat!” “That feel out of nowhere to anyone else?” It’s all just too good!! 😂😂

honestly, i think something the sequels could have done is made palpatine the throughline for all three films. 7 would have snoke and the first order trying to revive him, 8 would reveal snoke being a failed clone and have him succeed in the resurrection through his death, then 9 would be about stopping the reformed palpatine once and for all.
