That “because I’m Batman” made a lot of sense actually. He probably could still figure out who Spider-Man was while being in a different comic universe
Ok so I know how batman knows. It's not because he's batman. Peter kissed him first, but supermans kiss has the power to make people forget. (this is real) so Peter made superman remember, while it made him forget, and batman just watched the whole thing, and decided he could use it to his advantage as seeming like the world's greatest detective.
I honestly wish it really ended like that. It was quite heartbreaking to see him walk away from Mj and Ned without them really knowing he used to be their friend
I’ve been waiting patiently for this HISHE after watching this movie in theaters, and it definitely did not disappoint. Also, the voice actors for Willem Dadoe’s Green Goblin and Zendaya’s MJ did an amazing job.
Seeing Andrew’s Peter point the gun at Batman again to get Gwen back again had me dying of laughter! I loved all the references to the other Spider-Man HISHEs.
The great thing about HISHE is how it showed in sequence, how the conflict in the story can be easily resolved in multiple points in the movie from beginning till the end
The movie is already 1 year old!!! This was possibly the funniest HISHE video and I’m loving the callbacks to the past right down to the narration “Avenge me!” 😂 Peter swerving his body side to side omg I’m dead 😅
Or "make the people who learned my secret identity less than a month ago forget." Or "could everyone except MJ and Ned forget they know me ? So they won't be blocked by that because that's the reason I'm here" Or "look my glasses recorded everything, so you can see Mysterio lied, and that's coherent to the analyse of the drone you made that said that the last order came from Quentin Beck." Or "please Doctor Strange, can you create an holographic image of Spiderman that you would show when I'm in another place to demonstrate I'm not Spiderman" Or "please Doctor Strange, can you make a public appearance and use your image to remind people that I helpt saving the freacking whole universe by fighting Thanos ?" Or "please the Avengers, I know you have a support service to hero without secret identity, well because none of you have a secret identity, so can I use it to be safe, and can you use the Avengers popularity that you have after saving the world and the universe to say to people that I'm not a murderer and all of this was a lie ?"
Ok but if Mysterio is somehow still alive it might be a second villain arc bc now no one knows who he is and his life is ruined… alternately he would view it as an opportunity but who knows.
If he asked for a spell that would show everyone Mysteryo's true villainous self, showed what truly happened to Mysteryo, and forget the fact that Mysteryo exposed his secret identity he would've been good. This is why you plan things out instead of thinking about doing stuff on a whim.
He wouldn't have even needed to do that. If he really wanted to use magic he could have asked Strange to steal the Edith glasses back from the government. The glasses have the full unedited video of the events that happened with Mysterio, it would have cleared him completely of his murder. He probably could have asked Pepper, since she knew how much Peter meant to Tony, if she could disclose Mysterio's past getting fired from Stark industries. It wouldn't really be necessary but the more evidence the better. As for spreading the story (even without Pepper's cooperation), Peter could have given the video to J Jonah along with an interview disclosing everything that happened with Mysterio. Even if J Jonah hates Spiderman in many versions of the character he is sympathetic towards Peter since he's still just a kid. If Peter talks to him and tells him his story I'm sure J Jonah would have done the right thing, if not for Peter then just for the integrity of his newspaper since there is now evidence he was falsely accusing someone. I thought NWH was an entertaining movie but I felt like there were a lot of easier ways things could have been handled by the characters that wouldn't have ended as badly (such as Peter calling the school before going to Strange or my above suggestions). Even though I enjoyed watching it I did find it frustrating at times 😅
Did anyone else notice when Andrew's spiderman says "Wait, does that mean Gwen could be out here?" that Spider-Gwen swings by in the background? Love the attention to detail in this one!
“Here’s another bright idea, why not make the spell to forget mysterio and everything he said” DAMMIT, now every time I watch this movie, that’s all I’m gonna think about lol
Marvel already counter that logic as they show peter is so clumsy that he didn't even try to consult the university before he met dr strange, yeah this fact help me sleep at night •́ ‿ ,•̀
That wouldn't work tho i think? Peter's identity was national news for a long time, yes you'd erase the memories from everyone who initially heard it first from mysterio but what about everyone who heard about peter's identity from somewhere else? Let's say i found out peter was spider-man and then i tell my friend peter is spider-man who then tells his friend that peter is spider-man and then i forget what mysterio said that wouldn't suddenly mean that erases my friend and his friends memories. That's not how that works. It's not time travel erasing the source doesn't automatically erase everything else by default. If you erase mysterio and only mysterio then people who found out his identity by means other then mysterio would still remember. idk if that makes perfect sense but that's how i understand it.
What blows my mind about this whole spell thing, is that Steven is a surgeon and as a pre-op to surgery the actual surgeon has to explain everything about it, benefits, risks, and expected outcome. And then usually ask the patient if they have any questions and make sure they fully understand the surgery before actually going into surgery. So I’m just saying, Steven is not very safe but we already knew that since day 1
@@virginiafernandez6846 Yea... The fact that he immediately started preparing and casting the spell instead of asking Peter who he wants to remember and who doesn't he wants to remember that he is spiderman.

@@kazmiirtiza3934 True, but that was the Miles Morales timeline's Gwen. And since we've established in the MCU that not all Peter Parkers are the same guy (at least not from a genetic standpoint), then that would mean that wasn't Andrew's Gwen.
The first scene in this was my main issue with the movie. Everything after the multiverse opened was really fun, but the way they got there had to be one of the thinnest plot excuses for such a huge world-changing event: Spider-Man talked too much and Dr. Strange didn't hash out the details before casting a global amnesia spell? I feel like Marvel knows better than that.
Also that they didn't throw in an extra villain like Rhino, even for a couple minutes, to have a Sinister Six. It wouldn't have changed the plot, they'd just have to dispatch him quickly or turn him like they did with Doc Ock.
Yup! There is some fun stuff on the "Your Mileage May Vary" tab for the movie's TvTropes that suggests that a chunk of how the movie happened happened the way it did due to COVID (why certain actors were "present" as CGI characters), and the movie may have supposed to occur after "Multiverse of Madness" (one of the other tidbits says that concept art for "No Way Home" included America Chavez).
@@mdp720 If we think about 6 villains, Mysterio could be one too. It's because of Mysterio that everything happens in that film so he's kinda off-screen villain who has responsibility for NWH events.
Sure, but all Disney movies are houses of cards. Like, Endgame doesn't make much sense, even by it's own rules, and even minor stuff that, if you stop to think for half a second, doesn't make sense (like Winter Soldier killing Tony's parents on camera, going to SK in BP is completely superfluous etc.) The point is, MCU people really just wanna see the characters, not the stories. Its why the model works, because they don't have to change the typical structure of a MCU movie, because changing the characters around is enough to make all the money.
I feel like Daredevil should have been in this, and his “I’m a really good lawyer” line should be like Batman’s “Because I’m Batman!” line. It explains everything.
The fact that Tom and Andrew were giving Tobey a weird look about narrating made my day. XD Edit: Literally just giving Tobey some respect; I initially spelled his name wrong. XD
This will always stay my favorite HISHE like No Way Home will always stay my favorite movie! This was so well-written, well-animted and the voice acting was perfect! Hope they'll be ever reunited in any further HISHE video (maybe for Across The Spider-Verse?)
"Wow your Peter Tingle is really good" as Tobey's Spiderman effortlessly dodges blows from behind. Love the acknowledgement that Tobey's Spidersense was shown to be the most powerful, with the movies showing how he senses even the smallest things
It’s not necessarily the most powerful it’s just that the other two barely use it or even mention it (mcu Peter had to unlock it in far from home despite being Spider-Man for a while )
Ya, one of Spiderman's most practical and overpowered ability. The first being Spider Body. Under used in everything except the comics and The Ultimate Spiderman cartoon.
A lot of people argue to the contrary - Maguire's Peter had too many instances where he was caught off-guard when his sense should have alerted him (i.e. he didn't sense that Harry's goblin was going to swoop down from the sky). In that regard, having him get stabbed in No Way Home seems to hilariously maintain that continuity.
I don't know if Tobey's is the most powerful. Tom's was able to dodge Doctor Strange even when his soul was knocked out of his body and he was able to dodge a bunch of bullets from Mysterio's drones with his eyes closed. Tom was also able to sense when Norman was going into his "goblin" mode which I don't think Toby ever did. It's still possible that Toby has the strongest sense but I don't really think we've seen him do anything to suggest that.
Fun fact: This film marks the first MCU trilogy to be directed by the same director: Jon Watts. All previous film franchises, such as Iron Man, The Avengers, and Captain America, had only two consistent directors throughout their respective trilogies.
IKR He does so well! He is even more terrifying In this movie than In 2002! If they don't have William Dafoe play Joker, we riot! (I haven't scene the new Batman movie plz don't spoil It for me)
OMG the Mary Jane falling scene was hilarious, great work on this animation, always worth the wait :) Edit: Oops I meant just MJ haha, I just woke up when I wrote this
Any chance we can see Green Goblin as a new recurring character at the villain pub? Jon Bailey does such a phenomenal Dafoe impression and I would very much like to see more of it if possible.
The fact that Spider-Gwen immediately swings by in the background as soon as AG Spider-Man asks is Gwen is in that universe is probably one of the best jokes. Great work as always!
Question: After Spider-Man cures the villains and sends them back, what exactly stops them from dying? Especially when they were removed a split second before death.
Osborn is pretty much guaranteed to live since his glider kills him and Peter wrecked it. Maybe the whole dissolving-into-light thing we see at the end will free Electro from the conductive webbing, can't be sure though. Doc Ock having control of his senses a few seconds earlier could save him. Peter could get MJ to safety in time to help him.
i'm guessing them being cured would send them back to the couple moments just before their death and the spider-man of that timeline would be like "wait, you're a good guy, now?!" and everyone lives happily ever after
@@justinblakeney3466 so then it doesn’t make sense why the villains who would have had to have been summoned from the past act like they weren’t literally just hanging with Tobey or Andrew, respectively. Spidey 1 and 3’s nostalgia makes sense since they came from timelines in the present, but the villains seeming nostalgia for them, even if they recognize Tom as “not their Peter” doesn’t.
I like the ending where Spidey comes back. That could have been used as the opening narration where he starts at the begin of the movie and explains to MJ and Ned what just happened. And then they all hug. The end.

@@SuvanOra That's not going mentally ill, that's a pretty normal duel that literally most people go through after the death of someone. It could be considered pathological if it went on for longer than is thought normal, but there's no indication of this that I remember Him acting serious and violent is not even close to the definition of insane. That'd be like saying someone normally goofy is being insane because after a tragedy or a long period of frustration and stress, they are a lot quieter and less perky. Having a mood and working out your issues is not being insane, Jesus, is called being a person. How is that not normal behavior? You even remove the context that these are still villains he's fighting. He's not being violent or threatening to normal people or in contexts that don't make sense, or going to the extreme and thinking about killing villains painfully. That would actually merit some examination into his mental health, but even that is not really insane.
@@MajorLawliet Why I think he would go mentally ill is because he was already struggling With the death of captain Stacy so ofc he is going through what other people go through but he is taking it worse since he is Spider-Man and he probably thinks he could of saved 3 people so important to him like uncle Ben, captain Stacy and Gwen Stacy so off he would take a bigger impact ales thinking he could save them. I called him mentally ill since it is health condition to one that changes his emotions, thoughts or behaviour and it all led up on how he probably was after Gwen stacy’s death, he acted so normal in no way home probs cuz he know knows other Spider-Man feel his pain with lost love ones and thinking they could of saved them from death, like Tobey’s being Norman, harry, doc oc and uncle Ben, I added normal and doc oc since they were like his father figures basically and Tom loosing tony, uncle Ben and aunt may
@@SuvanOra Again, that's still only a duel. Which most people go through at some point. You are in constant interaction with your environment, things simply "changing your emotions" without additional context is not any definition of mental illness. You aren't ill because your ice cream fell and now you are mad or even just miffed. You aren't mentally ill if your job is so exhausting that you just don't feel a lot of energy most of the time, though not being mentally ill doesn't change that such a thing may not be the best for your health. Emotions, thoughts and behavior change all the time. Again, without additional context, that's just not grounds for a mental illness fam. I can't even call it pathological unless he became non-functioning in society.

How it really REALLY should have ended: Peter: “Since the spell is causing everyone throughout the universe that knows I’m both Peter Parker AND Spider-Man to come here, the only logical solution is to make everyone forget Peter Parker.” Dr. Strange: “Great idea, but wouldn’t it be a better idea for people to forget who Spider-Man is? That way, you don’t lose everyone you love and you can get a fresh start as Spider-Man. It’s a win-win!” Peter: …
Or, you know, don't do such a dangerous spell for three teenagers to get into college. Maybe try a reasonable approach first. Can't he use the sling ring to break into an office and send a new mail or something? Sure that's illegal, but is it more illegal than brainwashing the world?
I like the "sit down and decide exactly what we want to do" option; I love the "forget what Mysterio said" option as well. The only issue is that the people that outed Spiderman still have that information.
It'd still be easier to make them forget that information rather than the clusterf*ck of an alternative they came up with. Let's not pretend that this movie was anything other than an excuse to bring in some old characters and cash in on the nostalgia. There's nothing wrong about catering to people who don't have a good taste in movies, but stop making it seem like a masterpiece.
@@randomuser5237 I think it just did the nostalgia a bit better then other movies that try the same thing. I think it was sad how quickly the villains got beaten though
To be honest, i think many people misunderstood the spell. I dont think you can use the "forgot what mysterio said" kind of thing since the spell might only work if the person being affected is also included at the area of the spell when strange is casting. The spell might even need the consent of the person affected since peter can tamper on it and its a hint that the spell needs two people to work and strange cant cast it alone. But i only watch the movie once and i dont read the comics so im not really sure.
@@randomuser5237 The reason for their return was a bit rushed, but they handled the nostalgia better than TROS. Didn't pull those dead villains back to the land of the living without a reason, at least.

@@OrpheasVIPC If you watch interviews, Andrew said he is open to coming back and Tobey said he's happy to be back. In that case, I don't see why there would be doubt. It's 50/50 at the very least. After all, we see how in the past several years of pointless remakes/sequels that studios think with money more than story (in quite a few cases)

They should have just kept hugging and or kissing until the spell was finished. That would have been pretty good proof, especially with her Ned and strange wondering why they were on the island. Peter would just need to get the three of them together and explain what happened.
@@christianemerson4622 what how explain, because to watch this movie I had too watch all 7 spider movies with my grandma so she could get context how did it ruin it???
It seems like nobody is thinking how Ned loosing all of his memories of his best friend must really screw him up. I mean, he must not remember MOST of his whole high school experience! MJ just forgot a lot of her time over the last six months or so, but Ned lost YEARS!!! :(
They didn't forget all of that, they juet forgot about Peter. And tbh, many of their memories probably didn't change because Peter was always gone saving the day
I still feel like Strange could have changed the spell to make everyone forget who Spider-Man was instead of Peter Parker. Everyone would have forgot everything Spider-Man did in the past, but Peter would still have his friends and relationships and most of his life would have been salvaged from the spell and Spider-Man gets a new start.
This is what the original spell was supposed to be in the movie. Everyone forgets that Peter Parker is Spiderman, not everyone forgets who Peter Parker is
Come on people, the real reason they didn't do this was because they wanted an ending in which Peter had a reset in his life without anyone. That's the only true reason.

Dont look for logic in a marvel movie

So I’m just saying, Steven is not very safe but we already knew that since day 1
That’s called ‘informed consent’ and it’s actually a legal requirement. So yeah, it makes no sense he didn’t explain it.
@@virginiafernandez6846 Yea... The fact that he immediately started preparing and casting the spell instead of asking Peter who he wants to remember and who doesn't he wants to remember that he is spiderman.

Cool
@@marcw6875 doesn't mean she's the only Gwen from another universe out there
The first scene in this was my main issue with the movie.
@@mdp720 I get the having 3 villains from each universe but what about SM3’s venom?
@@mdp720 If we think about 6 villains, Mysterio could be one too. It's because of Mysterio that everything happens in that film so he's kinda off-screen villain who has responsibility for NWH events.
Sure, but all Disney movies are houses of cards. Like, Endgame doesn't make much sense, even by it's own rules, and even minor stuff that, if you stop to think for half a second, doesn't make sense (like Winter Soldier killing Tony's parents on camera, going to SK in BP is completely superfluous etc.)
The point is, MCU people really just wanna see the characters, not the stories. Its why the model works, because they don't have to change the typical structure of a MCU movie, because changing the characters around is enough to make all the money.

"Wow your Peter Tingle is really good" as Tobey's Spiderman effortlessly dodges blows from behind. Love the acknowledgement that Tobey's Spidersense was shown to be the most powerful, with the movies showing how he senses even the smallest things
The trilogy never really mentioned his spidey sense, it just showed it
It’s not necessarily the most powerful it’s just that the other two barely use it or even mention it (mcu Peter had to unlock it in far from home despite being Spider-Man for a while )
Ya, one of Spiderman's most practical and overpowered ability.

The Spider-Man’s from their universes that helped them be cured in this one will know they don’t have to kill them when they get back?
Osborn is pretty much guaranteed to live since his glider kills him and Peter wrecked it. Maybe the whole dissolving-into-light thing we see at the end will free Electro from the conductive webbing, can't be sure though. Doc Ock having control of his senses a few seconds earlier could save him. Peter could get MJ to safety in time to help him.
i'm guessing them being cured would send them back to the couple moments just before their death and the spider-man of that timeline would be like "wait, you're a good guy, now?!" and everyone lives happily ever after
@@m3ntyb I don't think it'll work out that way. Tobey is going to his present where he's happy with MJ, not back to when Otto drowned.

Insane is definitely not the right word. Andrew's Spider-Man didn't go insane, he just stopped being soft.
@@pattycake520 Insane meaning: 'In a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behaviour, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill." why i call him insane is because he used to act goofy but after Gwen's death he acted serious and violent since he stopped pulling his punches, he probably gone mentally ill since he probably used to think how to save her and probs wishing he could get her back siince marc webb said that andrew would use his spider blood to bring back Gwen so ofc he is thinking of her a lot and even in no way home he thought of Gwen when tom's M.J was falling, the perception part is probs him always thinking how he could save her when actually he probs couldn't save here because other ways Gwen's death would play out it Andrew's spider-man's web would latch on to something else with all the objects falling around Gwen and he probably would always think of Gwen getting barely any sleep or very commonly depression on how she always made him happy and she was someone who knew him as his real self, he may of had aunt may but they barely talk together and he wouldn't tell aunt may seeing how the people who knew he was spider-man ended up
@@SuvanOra That's not going mentally ill, that's a pretty normal duel that literally most people go through after the death of someone. It could be considered pathological if it went on for longer than is thought normal, but there's no indication of this that I remember
Him acting serious and violent is not even close to the definition of insane.

To be honest, i think many people misunderstood the spell. I dont think you can use the "forgot what mysterio said" kind of thing since the spell might only work if the person being affected is also included at the area of the spell when strange is casting. Adding that to the idea that No Way Home made a ton of money and the positive fan reaction, I think everyone involved knows logically that investing in future cameos or films with Tobey and Andrew would be a smart business investment. In that case, I don't see why there would be doubt. It's 50/50 at the very least. After all, we see how in the past several years of pointless remakes/sequels that studios think with money more than story (in quite a few cases)
The moment Andrew Garfield said Gwen must be there, ya"ll see Spider-Gwen swinging. That's a really nice detail
I love tobey's, "This is not how I wanted my first actual cafe scene to go-" dude i was actually dying since that was just so frickin true lmfao.
So was he
@@mycraftablromncetherealm3160 ^^
yes he was actually dying too
6:50 Right as he mentions Gwen, Spider-Gwen swings by.
That Miles Morales line 'You gotta say I love you back' was spot-on 👌
Batman's correction on his advice (that kissing on the hand would have worked) was hilarious.
Your Proposed Ending was ❤️
That's what I thought as soon as Batman made his suggestion, but not on the hand but on one's cheek. Still better that kissing people who don't know who you are on the mouth.
And I thought exactly that while watching the film ending, when Peter started going away for no reasons (except obviously the plot). I was thinking "NoOooOo".
@@mariebourgot49497:58 Yeah why did Peter ran away from MJ and Ned...
1st they took Gwen Stacy from us and now MJ+Ned+HappyHogan...
So much plot twist 🤯
This comment is a spoiler alert
@@atreyuleehansen2225 Everyone by now has seen No Way Home and previous movies... 😇
So there should be no case of spoiler mishaps.
And why would a person who has not seen the movie would come to the video talking about it's alternate endings. 😯
@@iamadityavaishy well I haven't seen it yet but I have seen the others partially
Personally i really love the interaction between the 3 spiderman. I wish we had more. But it does show that tobey maguire is the eldest spiderman because he was the one who snap tom holland back to his sense.
Spiderman 4 will have them all from the beginning so get ready
@@justdavis8823 that would be amazing! I hope it won't be a disappointment.
I like how people are saying that Tobey Maguire Spiderman has essentially become Uncle Ben :D It just feels more wholesome that way :D
"You know, I'm something of a murderer myself"
This. This one killed me.
I present to you "Here's an idea guy", the smartest man alive
This feels like a reward for being a fan of this channel since the beginning. All of the jokes and references *chef's kiss* I guess one person can make a difference. _'Nuff said!_
The legend is here! B
Your profile picture is awesome 😂
Didn’t see you for a long time.
The voice actor for the green goblin was on point.
That'll be Jon Bailey aka EpicVoiceGuy who does the Honest Trailers! Dude's got talent.
They should have just kept hugging and or kissing until the spell was finished. That would have been pretty good proof, especially with her Ned and strange wondering why they were on the island. Peter would just need to get the three of them together and explain what happened.
@Ankit Tera exp Singh 🤣
This whole series is one big "THANK YOU!" with hands raised
Let’s just always appreciate the fact we always got this movie. All love for Spider-Man.
yes
I can't appreciate a movie that had the audacity to ruin franchises that came before it
@@christianemerson4622 how did that happen
@@christianemerson4622 what how explain, because to watch this movie I had too watch all 7 spider movies with my grandma so she could get context how did it ruin it???
It seems like nobody is thinking how Ned loosing all of his memories of his best friend must really screw him up. I mean, he must not remember MOST of his whole high school experience! MJ just forgot a lot of her time over the last six months or so, but Ned lost YEARS!!! :(
almost like it could be a super villan origin story.
yeah also kinda why the spell doesnt make any sense
I’ve seen cases in movies and shows where if you’re forgetting one person, the memories around that person aren’t totally screwed.
Good
They didn't forget all of that, they juet forgot about Peter. And tbh, many of their memories probably didn't change because Peter was always gone saving the day
Batman is like “Oh no not this again” 6:16
This HISHE is the most nostalgic one ever... All the callbacks from different spider-man HISHEs were just perfect. I'm crying from laughter!😂😂😭😭
I thought that "STOP NARRATING" kid is gonna appear in this one 😄
I still feel like Strange could have changed the spell to make everyone forget who Spider-Man was instead of Peter Parker.
Everyone would have forgot everything Spider-Man did in the past, but Peter would still have his friends and relationships and most of his life would have been salvaged from the spell and Spider-Man gets a new start.
Yeah, there's a fanfic about that, but it's short.
This is what the original spell was supposed to be in the movie. Everyone forgets that Peter Parker is Spiderman, not everyone forgets who Peter Parker is
Yeah but if everyone forgets Spider-Man how would happy know who he was? Happy never knew Peter as just Peter he’s always known his identity.
Come on people, the real reason they didn't do this was because they wanted an ending in which Peter had a reset in his life without anyone. That's the only true reason.

You mean the audience members under the age of thirty would lose their minds.
