1:49. When gwen says "In every other universe Gwen Stacy falls for Spider-Man," I whispered to my friend in the movie theatre. "In more ways than one" she almost died laughing.
I love how well the villain bar fits at the end because there was a deleted scene that was actually supposed to show spot going to a villain bar where he was being made fun of by other spider villains somewhere towards the beginning of the movie after his first appearance and towards the end of the movie he was supposed to go back into the same bar and just wreck everyone with his new
3:05 Fun fact: as you know, there are characters immune to the spider sense, like Venom, other of those characters are clones, they are genetic copies of Peter, they are immune to the spider sense because they are himself, applying the same logic, any version of miles Morales will be immune to the spider sense miles Morales 🤓
Probably the first time an ad made me want to actually get the product. I mean I've been wanting to playit anyway. This is just a reminder. I have to play the first though.
To be fair, Gwen keeps her mission hidden from Miles because Miguel convinced everyone that he is the result of an anomaly. So that ending wouldn’t be possible.
But Gwen meeting Miles again was already a mistake because she's messing with his canon just by interacting with him, which got him to chase her through the portal, so she should've just been upfront about it. Her trying to keep it secret just made her look more like a deceiver to both Miles and Miguel, as she only did it to save her face.
Then why did Gwen even bothering talking to Miles in the first place? And I don’t see how being an anomaly has anything to do with stopping a criminal before he comes worse. Miguel was right to kick out Gwen for wasting time hanging out with Miles. And she was still lying to Miles during the whole thing. So if The Spot ends up killing Jefferson Morales, then it would be 100% Gwen’s fault for not stopping him when she had the chance.
I'll be honest, I think the scene questioning the whole canon thing could've been better. Miguel doesn't really have anything to do with Scarlet Witch, except for how he replaced a variant. Sure, there could've been a better explanation as to what exactly caused that universe to be destroyed, but the evidence is still there and they can't ignore it. Is Miguel really a bad guy if he doesn't want to choose one person over an entire universe? Is selfishness a sign of heroism now? Didn't Peter become Spider-Man because he learned that selfishness is wrong? I know Miles wants to save his dad, but Miguel ain't wrong for thinking beyond that. What really should be questioned is, if Miles' canon is to lose his father, why not just let him go back to fail to save him anyway? The real mistake was bringing Miles into the Spider Society, so don't let him know about his canon, just send him back. Also, Jessica, you're the one who's pregnant and going around endangering your baby, so that's on you.
Yes1 I totally agree that if Miguel truly believe what he is saying he is 100% correct then yeah you can't save him, and he's avoiding the thing that actually really pisses me off with a lot of heroes where they won't make certain sacrifices that they demand of others, but won't admit to being selfish which I wouldn't totally fault as they are human. Like how a passivie hero won't kill a reoccurring villain with a 1000+ body count because it offends their morals, and yet they can live with letting the walking disaster kill normal people who can't protect their loved ones over and over and over being framed as a good thing. I think that Miguel and Miles are both doing the right thing from their POVs since Miles doesn't truly think saving his dad would end a universe and that really makes this interesting! It stinks for people to not see the nuance of the situation and just dunk on Miguel because I think he's an intriguing character, he's flawed and utterly traumatized in ways that aren't superficial.
Can't blame Miguel but also....he's sort of chasing around a teenage boy....and also ignoring another villain who could destroy everything...he's misunderstood I know this and I get his motivation but no matter the motivation he's still making a mistake. Mistakes happen, even if the mistake came from good intentions in general.
It honestly felt like HISHE just answered so many questions we've might've had about this movie that were just unanswered or left without ones. Like what everyone just said about Miguel is true about him and that everyone could help Miles instead. What if Gwen found Miles in Earth 42 before the movie ended, and so much more that got answered
Another problem I had with the movie is how we didn’t see any other Spidermen help Miles(not even the PS5 Spidermen). You mean to tell me that none of them have questions about Miguel’s motives? I certainly would!
Not to mention, shouldn't Miguel have KNOWN what dimension Miles is from? He was shown to monitor everything and mentioned Tom Holland's spiderman's dimension. Wouldn't he know which dimension Miles is from and know he got sent to the wrong one?
@Kupiec_Korzenny_EmhyrVarEmreis If Miguel KNOWS what dimension Miles is from, and how the spider machine works, wouldn't he know Miles would get sent to Earth 42 instead of Earth 1610? The machine that sent Miles read his DNA as the spider bite from Earth 42. I figured Miguel would keep Intel on all these things.
Bro, when Slider Punk said "he a vampire" at 2:25 and then he says to not bring his teeth into it. That got me thinking of Moluk or some villains name spelt like that. That's one of Spidermans villains and he's a vampire that formed a group of vampires and they kill and maybe eat all Spiderpeople in the Spiderverse. What if Miguel is one of the vampires?
I was incredibly happy to see Hishe had all the Spiderman call Miguel out, on how ridiculous he was sounding. I'm sure many were thinking the same thing. And major props to the spot voice, they knocked it out of the park.

This vid kinda made a good point about how Miguel’s anger towards Miles lead him to ignore Spot who was actively trying to wreck the multiverse for selfish purposes
Interesting fact, there was a deleted scene where Spot visits a local bar for villains and is being mocked. Later on in a deleted post credit scene, he returns to that bar more powerful and wipes everyone out.
Y'know, I can't believe no one thought about this, but Miles could've _easily_ used his electric powers/venom sting to escape the Spider Society's web trap at 0:45.
When I first watched Across the Spider-Verse, I thought Miguel's origin story/cannon event was more similar to What If's Doctor Strange than Scarlett Witch. Both characters messed with time to try to be with their loved ones, only for them to inadvertedly collapse and destroy their own universes, and now both must face the consequnces and punishment of being alone and the only survivor of their timeline/universe.
I really like the "Spider Sense" joke because of the same vibe in D&D for the "Danger Sense" or the Monk wicked dodging and halving damage is often played with just like "Prestidigitation" is also "bend" as in the rules most often. It can only remove like dust or maybe fur (something if you want to flavor text having an aversion to Tabaxi fur or Player characters that have fur on them, something like a neat freak druid or wizard) and then make things artificially taste or at the very least smell like something else for funzies or covering odors that are unpleasant as the bard or arcane trickster. Edit: Also funnily enough, "hammer" is incorrect, the term is wooden mallet. Cartoons man, they'll get ya with that wacky Acme stuff of guard.
5:16 The real plot-hole was that Miguel (or whoever in charge) accepted to sent Gwen in Miles universe. Also Miguel knew they had common history, he should've forseen that Gwen wouldn't properly do whatever they told her. He could've sent Ben Reily (Scarlet-Spider)
Miguel making bad decisions but blaming the others for making bad decisions, is basically the explanation of why he's the antagonist 'Do what I say, not what I do"
Except it was Jess who allowed it not Miguel. That’s why Gwen asked for Jess not to tell Miguel after she went to see miles. But we see that Miguel was watching her the entire time.
1:49. As I was watching the movie in the theater I thought Miles rescuing Inspector Singh actually contradicted Miguel's speech about canon events; Inspector Singh would have died from the event caused by The Spot & Miles, but they are from another Universe which means they shouldn't cause a canon event that would effect Pavitr's life as Spider-Man.
They can definitely cause the canon event, but they shouldn't interfere with it, like even if Miles murdered Inspector Singh with his own hands, it would still be canon, but saving him in any form will be non canon.
I just like to think that the canon is forced to emerge just at that moment, because Spot is an anomaly that can interfere with things. Layla predicts that thing like a minute prior, and if they had known it before, they would never have invited Pav in that soon anyway.
Who knows what's really going on with canon events? They need to talk to the Watcher. But unless a version of Spider-Man has met him (like if there's a Spider-Man who joined the Fantastic Four), they'll have to go outside or beyond the Spider-Verse.
HISHE getting sponsored by Spider Man 2 is perfect along with that Spot voice! Love that first ending though Pavitr would make a good comedian/narrator but great job once again HISHE! Edit: *We need that full spiderman song by you guys*

@@radrno7uhmm what??
Then why did Gwen even bothering talking to Miles in the first place? And I don’t see how being an anomaly has anything to do with stopping a criminal before he comes worse.
Miguel was right to kick out Gwen for wasting time hanging out with Miles. And she was still lying to Miles during the whole thing.
So if The Spot ends up killing Jefferson Morales, then it would be 100% Gwen’s fault for not stopping him when she had the chance.
What would something bad happen if Gwen didn't tell miles that she needed to catch spot
You do make a very good point
Finally someone gets it
Can't blame Miguel but also....he's sort of chasing around a teenage boy....and also ignoring another villain who could destroy everything...he's misunderstood I know this and I get his motivation but no matter the motivation he's still making a mistake. Mistakes happen, even if the mistake came from good intentions in general.
I’m just gonna hope the pocket hammer makes an appearance in Beyond the Spiderverse, because that would be epic asf

Yeah, agreed. Miguel stopped trying to mess with time after that, and was so scarred by it that he decided it couldn’t happen to anyone else
Hishe posting weekly must be a canon event.
Miguel making bad decisions but blaming the others for making bad decisions, is basically the explanation of why he's the antagonist
'Do what I say, not what I do"
There were no plot holes on the movie.
@@ohmaplaymakerExactly lol
I guess if Miles hadn't been there, Spot would have killed Singh in a slightly different manner or something.
I just like to think that the canon is forced to emerge just at that moment, because Spot is an anomaly that can interfere with things. Layla predicts that thing like a minute prior, and if they had known it before, they would never have invited Pav in that soon anyway.
I think incursions and interference are what cause canon events to break
Who knows what's really going on with canon events? They need to talk to the Watcher. But unless a version of Spider-Man has met him (like if there's a Spider-Man who joined the Fantastic Four), they'll have to go outside or beyond the Spider-Verse.
