Titans look good and are comfortable, but they are complete garbage when comes to reliability. I had 2 of the newer models… then moved on. Complete garbage.
June 2023 I sold my reliable old 2002 F150 and bought a new Titan Pro4X. I love it. It was priced much below other brands that were equipped the same. I got a big discount and 0% financing. It has the most comfortable seat I've ever had. I can drive it for hours and my 80 yr old back doesn't hurt when I get out. Yeah, it burns more gasoline than the turbo trucks but I'm retired and don't drive that much. It hasn't had any issues so far. One reason I bought a Nissan was that in early 2014 I bought my wife a new 2013 Infiniti EX37, the smallest crossover SUV with a 3.7 V6 and RWD. She has put 58k miles on it so far and I've spent 0 dollars on repairs. She loves it. It hauls butt too which she loves.
Got my 24' Titan about 2 months ago and so far im loving that thing more everytime i get on it. Traded my problematic 21' ram 1500 for this and i dont regret it one bit. Amazing truck!
@scottcrowley2061 knock knock, who's there? It's the technical service bulletin NTB19-057 the dreaded engine knock because half the gas V8s had the oil injectors defectively installed causing damage to #5,#7 cylinders😢
I went from a 2013 Tacoma to a 2022 Titan Pro 4X. The two trucks share the same simple, reliable, rugged spirit. No BS tech, just a truck that works. Really happy with it.
The z gets the same hate as people lack the sense of simple is usually always best. Nissan is one of the companies that never does enough advertisement like the others. If I had the money, I would go out, buy Titan
Picked up a '23 Pro 4X in September. Alignment (steering wheel off center), tailgate actuator replacement, transfer case actuator recall, LCD screen/radio head replacement because of permanent imprints after 6 months, so I put a glass screen protector on the new one. Having a good dealership service department is a huge plus. Like it better than my '18 F-150 FX4, but it does have less back seat room and storage as the wheelbase is about 4" shorter. Tows the same, pretty much the same specs at the FX4. Runs smoother and more power on the recommended premium gas. Got 15% off and they gave me 33.5k for my F-150. I was going for 35k for my trade when a shopper that had been in before came in to buy it, so I grabbed the deal. The white paint on black trim looks sharp and is cooler in the Arizona summer. It's too bad they are discontinuing the Titan, I think they should keep making them. They'd probably boost their sales after the Tundra disaster.
@@TinoMiller Known issue with the tailgate actuator, they replaced it the same day. Took 3 weeks for the new radio head to come in. It's a Bosch part, the service writer showed me the old unit. One of the sales guys said his LCD display on his Titan died and they replaced it. Alignment they threw it on the rack the next day after delivery and it's beautiful now. The transfer case actuator was a regular non safety recall. Great service department.
Just bought a 2024 Titan XD Pro-4x for a smoking deal plus 0% interest for 60 months. Got an additional $1500 off the already negotiated price for currently owning a 2004 Titan king cab LE. My 04 has been amazing with no issues at all. These are totally underrated trucks. I owned the first year model and now the last. Happy Titan owner right here.
As the previous owner of a 21 pro4x, I can say it is very reliable and capable. Best of all, the prices are much lower than everyone else. The used ones are a steal. You deserve your 1500 a month payment if you pass on this gem. That warranty is on another level too. Unless you want all the latest tech, the Titan is unbeatable.
It's just sad to me that most people now a days feel that having a dozen different modes for going up a hill and a 60 inch tv screen is what's needed to be a real truck. I have a 21 titan xd pro4x and a 22 frontier pro4x. Both have had zero issues! The xd is used mostly for towing a travel trailer and the frontier for running around and traveling. Thanks for your very accurate review.
@@mauriceracicot6010 yeah the “truck” RUclipsrs make their living off showing people how the buttons work, people think they need the buttons. Pretty sad.
Spent a year in Arizona (2023) and got to drive all the 1/2 ton trucks out there. The Nissan gave no problems and drove great. All the tech you would want or need. Rides nicer than the Tundra... there, I said it and I mean it. The lane departure was really nice to have as well. Real shame they're discontinuing them.
I bought one last year and love it so far. No cylinder deactivation, no auto stop start. It has a proven powertrain that will probably last to 200k. The price and warranty were icing on the cake.
I can totally attest to it! My 2021 Pro 4-X has given me ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS whatsoever! I will never sell it! If you can get one for less than 50K, it is a gift! It has ALL the technology needed!
Bought a Titan XD Pro-4X a couple weeks ago; $10K off and 0% for 60 months. Love that it’s just a plain old V8 to a 9 speed. No fuel management crap, or twin turbos trying to make a V6 a V8; simple and reliable.

But they will go eat the vomit of the big 3 before they actually consider a better alternative. Americans are masochistic, and Nissan didn't account for that in their sales strategy.
Most guys don't care when they have issues because they have them under warranty, I can't imagine what happens when these trucks are all out of warranty and customers have to come up with the money to fix all these issues....not sure how it's going to shake out but it's not good.
@@TheCarGuyOnline I've read that the Tundra "debris" job is 25 to 30 grand. Imagine that like 5000 miles after the warranty is up. Might as well junk the depreciated truck. No thx.

I had a 2018 Platinum Reserve 4x4 Titan now I own a 2021 Platinum Reserve 4x4 and I must say that I bought all of these Nissan units because of the tech and the bells and whistles. Enterprise has awesome deals on them too. I bought a '22 for only about $29k and it had 48k miles. They even shipped it to me. People don't realize that dealers end up getting rentals all of the time as CPO vehicles. Well worth it imo.
Word to the wise: For logical reasons, Nissan (as well as other manufacturers) DOES NOT warranty former rental cars. Former rental cars ARE NOT covered under Nissan warranty in the USA.
@@craigslistseller9354 I just had some work warrantied on it that they did just fine. No different than when I bought a used Titan years ago. I just got a brand new fully loaded 2024 Frontier Pro-4x in Baja Storm for $43,155 ($45,500 OTD with Virginia taxes, fees, and licensing). MSRP was $49,450. I got all the financing discounts without having to commit to financing. But they are offering 2.9% for 3 years with a minimum 20k financed. I paid cash.
I just looked at a pair of Titans in that color. Very nice. One was like 56000 or so, the other was up in the 60s. The only difference was apparently the roll bar and more technology packages. Very nice rigs. Also had a Frontier SV with actual "long bed," which is equal to the SHORT bed in my Hardbody. Lots of wheelbase, but very useful to me.

I'm not looking full-size so a Titan isn't on my radar, but I am disappointed that it's being discontinued because they really are very good trucks. Not too fancy, good workhorse vehicle. Maybe one day they will decide to bring it back or put out a full-size worthy of its legacy.
with the 5.7 hemi having its lifter flaw, and tundra having a ton of issues , chevy looking to weird , and fort and their issues this truck could of really dominated the market for the next 3/4 years .
I just picked a 2008 with 165k miles on it. It still works well, I think I got a great truck for the price. From my search history it's not uncommon for the titans to break into the 300k mile range.
I bought a 24 frontier pro4x. I love the truck 100%. Only mistske i made was not test driving a titan first. Lol yes, i agree. The only reliable half ton is the titan right now. With better marketing nissan can steel the show!
People are willing to pay the price in Commie-fornia. Plus, yall have all the additional emissions requirements on new vehicles. That's one of the best ways to throttle the supply in your state.
Toyota fanboys are especially to blame for the Titan being discontinued. At least most of the guys who bought from the big 3 did so out of nostalgia, i.e. their dads drove the same brand of truck, which at least carries some weight. But tundra guys? Didn’t want a truck from the big 3 but bought into the Toyota propaganda and never even considered a Nissan. Sad to see the Titan go, truly one of the most underrated trucks of our generation. Hopefully Nissan will bring it back one day.
I wouldn't say Toyota fanboys are one of the major causes of the Titan's downfall. But you do have a point when you mentioned the Toyota propaganda... take a good look at Toyota's aggressive marketing and advertising techniques, and then compare that to Nissan's. It's night and day. In fact I'd even say Nissan doesn't even give a damn about advertising their heavy duty trucks and SUVs at all.
@@HotSneks fair point, Nissan really dropped the ball with advertising their truck line, Titan in particular. They definitely could have done a lot better. That being said, truck buyers are some of the most informed in the industry, always comparing and diving into the technical specs of our rigs. So most buyers surely knew about Titan, just never gave it a chance. Hopefully Titan will come back again (with better advertising) but at least the Frontier seems to be hitting its stride, I think people are waking up after the latest Tacoma disaster.
I have a 2006 1st Gen tundra and my next new truck was going to be the new tundra. Because Toyota couldn't get their shit together and build me what I wanted I went to Nissan and now have a 24 xd Pro4x. Awesome truck. Nissan couldn't hold on for a little longer to gain the sales and exodus of tundra owners. Their handling of the CVT drama with their Nissan cars is what shit the bed for their trust in my book but their truck offerings are legit!
@@Santerianumero1 good luck with the Titan, I think you got yourself a great truck. Hopefully Nissan will wise up one day and actually put some marketing money into their truck line, then maybe we’ll get a third gen Titan. Fingers crossed
this is a good take on it...I don't think foreign companies understand what a long game the US truck market is, because cars are their bread & butter. Toyota spent decades building up their reputation for reliability before releasing their full sized (not 80% sized) Tundra. Nissan and Toyota and GM put a lot of effort into making their early 2000s designs reliable. Ford's reputation for reliability came from the early 90s when GM made junk. That took over a decade for GM to shake. Somehow Ford weathered out the mid 2000s when they made junk, and there current trucks are a lot more reliable. I think Nissan should make longer cargo vans with dual sliding doors, and both Nissan and Toyota should devote more resources to their full size truck line because they came out with good ones when they were trying to break into the market. I understand not wanting to pay $90k for a ram or wanting a crew cab with 6.5ft bed, but 40k for a new full sized truck is a price that actually does not sound insane
I traded 2023 tundra limited trd and got Titan pro 4x and it’s built way better and I work in the oil field so off road a lot and the Titan is so much better off road. That tundra off road sounds like the doors and windows was going to fall out. Titan is built to handle off road. Tundra built to stay on smooth high. It’s so nice to start up a v8 everyday. That tundra every morning I back out of the driveway you can tell it had v6 in it. Run me nuts.
I agree with you that the Nissan Titan is the best truck to buy today, but the prices advertised by dealers are not accurate. I called most of the dealers who advertise the Titan at a low price online, but when I contacted them, I couldn't find anything under $50k. They claim the online price is only available if you qualify for all discounts, including trade-in, military, student, and many other conditions that hardly anyone can meet. 99% of dealers are misleading customers by posting these prices just to get you to call them. It's deceptive! I was interested in the Titan but when I started to see the price between $50k to $65k, I do not believe it is worth it because since it is discounted, resale value will be very low and may be after few years, it will be very challenging to get spare parts!

That 5.6 puts out just a bit more than the 5.7 HEMI with cylinder deactivation and other nonsense including the HEMI 'tick'. I have been driving a 2023 Frontier rental for a while and i think the 3.8 has more power and acceleration than my 3.6 Warlock.

The v6 turbo trucks actually burn more gas than their new v8 counterparts with 9+gear transmission.
@@drozd1329Agreed 100% and not to mention that those EcoBoost engines (as well as any turbo engine) are complete garbage.
Best truck I ever owned..pro4x..I owned them all ..Nissan Titan is above them all
Got my 24' Titan about 2 months ago and so far im loving that thing more everytime i get on it. Traded my problematic 21' ram 1500 for this and i dont regret it one bit. Amazing truck!
Just bought a 2024 Pro4X Titan fully loaded, absolutely love it. Did research for almost 2 years and this is where I landed
Great choice IMO.
I'm going to miss the 5.6L V8. Such a gem of an engine. Fingers crossed Nissan has a plan for it in the future (maybe offer them in the Frontier? LOL)
That'd be interesting to see.
Lol i wish but if they aren’t offering a turbo v6 for the frontier i highly doubt they will make the changes needed for that monster v8
VK56VD 390 HP V-8. Watch highway speed, everytime I catch myself going 90MPH.Oops! Runs like a watch.20.5 mpg.
The Titan had those issues ?
@@TinoMiller Known issue with the tailgate actuator, they replaced it the same day. Took 3 weeks for the new radio head to come in. It's a Bosch part, the service writer showed me the old unit. One of the sales guys said his LCD display on his Titan died and they replaced it. Alignment they threw it on the rack the next day after delivery and it's beautiful now. The transfer case actuator was a regular non safety recall. Great service department.
@@wikolib6821😊 love NISSAN
Just bought a 2024 Titan XD Pro-4x for a smoking deal plus 0% interest for 60 months. Got an additional $1500 off the already negotiated price for currently owning a 2004 Titan king cab LE. My 04 has been amazing with no issues at all. These are totally underrated trucks. I owned the first year model and now the last. Happy Titan owner right here.
I had a 2008, same experience, very reliable.
Pretty sad.
The titan needs premium right?
@@iskdude9922premium for max performance. They make 400hp / 413 lb ft with premium.
390hp / 394 lb ft on regular.
Right on
Thank you for promoting the Titan! Best 1/2 ton truck on the market.
I just bought a 2024 Nissan Titan Pro 4XXD Baja storm and I love it
I can totally attest to it!
Great trucks I’d like the XD for the payload/towing but they are tough to find in my area
Heck ya man 👍
2023 Pro 4X with every option. Best truck I've ever owned. Almost 70 now, had lots of trucks over the decades. This is my favorite.
Nissan should have built the Warrior concept. It would have been a hot seller.
Especially now with the raptor r and TRX/ the new TRX variant
it ALWAYS should have looked like the Warrior concept, WTF were they thinking with that design, finally in certain trims I can look at it without losing my lunch...kinda think I might even get a pro4x
I just picked up a fully loaded Pro4X for the cost of a mid-level Tacoma at 0% interest. My buddy also bought a Trail Boss Silverado and feels hurt by all the options I have on my Nissan. He has no sunroof, no leather, no sliding rear window, no spray-in bed, and no step rails, but he has a diesel engine and paid just about as much.
GM 3.0 diesel is POJ, you'll see
I have a 2017 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve with cero issues ,Its the best truck I have had ,also got a 2012 Nissan Frontier Pro 4 X also 0 issues just maintenance, I would never in my life trade them for a Toyota product
I have a 23 Titan XD Pro4X and it’s been the best truck i have ever owned!
This is why I chose the 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it over the new 2024 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it cause one I didn't want cylinder deactivation, Auto stop start, and best of all no turbos.
I’ve had my 2020 pro4x since October 2020. Same as the 2024 currently, best truck I’ve owned. never an issue(except back up camera they just stink) titan waaaay better than my ecoboost f150 I traded from.
Every guy I talk to who has one of the “big three” pickups has had problems
No thx.
Just got a 2024 Pro4x. No sunroof. Almost 13k off MSRP, 0% for 60 months, and the 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. Killer. Love it!
which dealership? i've been calling around and dealerships are offering one or other not both
I own a 2012 with 233k miles. If i ever have to replace it, it will be with another titan. Since they dont want to continue with them, i will be hunting a good used one. Im sold on nissan.
Just bought a used 2024 with 3800 miles and saved 20 grand off the sticker. My truck is a Pro 4X and has every option, including leather seats. I tried buying a Ram, Chevy, and Ford, and the prices were insane. My truck is awesome, and I would bet that in a few years, the Titan will return.
Nissan forever! I should trade my frontier with over 100,000 miles and upgrade to the Titan before their gone.
I have a 2007 Titan with 185,000 miles still run great , no problems.
I think the Titan was just about to become much more desirable now that Toyota has ruined the Tundra. If I was in the market for a full size truck I would absolutely get a Titan.
Yep. I was all in on a Tundra until I saw the new ones only had turbo/hybrid nonsense. Glad I steered clear of them and right into a Titan Pro4x. Love mine.
If I were buying a new full size truck, I would snatch one of these.
I’ve owned a 2005 Armada and a 2011 QX56 that only had Catalytic Converter problems. Those trucks were damn near bulletproof. I had a 2018 Platinum Reserve 4x4 Titan now I own a 2021 Platinum Reserve 4x4 and I must say that I bought all of these Nissan units because of the tech and the bells and whistles. I even helped build the Titan here in Canton, Mississippi and I am proud of the product overall they look good and sound great straight from the factory. I’m hoping the Titan comes back as the Titan Warrior Concept with a Supercharged 5.6 V8 as an option and a better transmission.
no lifter damage , reliable , no eco crap , this is the truck to get

I got all the financing discounts without having to commit to financing. But they are offering 2.9% for 3 years with a minimum 20k financed. I paid cash.
I just looked at a pair of Titans in that color. Very nice. One was like 56000 or so, the other was up in the 60s. The only difference was apparently the roll bar and more technology packages. Very nice rigs.
Also had a Frontier SV with actual "long bed," which is equal to the SHORT bed in my Hardbody. Lots of wheelbase, but very useful to me.
Paid cash!....I love it! Not many people doing that anymore :)

164k on my 2017 XD gas. Starter is starting to fail but never needed the warranty.
That's a good sign. 164k and zero issues is pretty darn good. Most starters fail in that range anyway.

With better marketing nissan can steel the show!
All Nissan had to do was upgrade the Titan with a 17 inch infotainment screen & its would have sold. RIP Titan
You can get some sweet aftermarket vertical screens, 13". They look like a new Ford after doing it :).
The prices on Titans within 100 miles of where I am (Monterey, CA) are 52-69k. Shocking how much higher they are in CA.
People are willing to pay the price in Commie-fornia. Plus, yall have all the additional emissions requirements on new vehicles. That's one of the best ways to throttle the supply in your state.
California is a communist state. When you have communists running your state everything is going to be more expensive.
Love my Titan. Those who hate on it have likely never owned one. Would but another, and another.
Exactly. ToyoTuRDs.
Why do you think the frontier is doing so great not only compared to the titan but other mid size trucks?

Not seeing that or hearing that at dealerships around Atlanta when I call
I wish the Frontier PROX came with a 6' bed!
I believe they do in Canada.
2025 model offers it. I think you have to order it though.
this is a good take on it...I don't think foreign companies understand what a long game the US truck market is, because cars are their bread & butter.
It may be? Nope it is for sure!!! I’m a Toyota/Chevy guy and I’ll tell you its the most reliable BY A LONG SHOT!!!
AC and a radio is all I have on my 2005 ford, hoping it lasts another 10 years!
I have two an 04 and a 2024 and an f150 trust me the titan is more capable than the ford of gm, there was a 2500 loaded stuck on a ditch two weeks ago and i used the 04 and took it put with no problem my truck has 250k no issues titans are the most reliable trucks out there
With EV limitations and growing disinterest, and Tundras fall from grace, Nissan better rethink terminating this truck.
It definitely has the best engine ! All the issues that the other manufactures have with their trucks are worse then the Titan but somehow the Titan has gotten a bad rap. Too bad the sales killed it.

It definitely has the best engine ! All the issues that the other manufactures have with their trucks are worse then the Titan but somehow the Titan has gotten a bad rap. Too bad the sales killed it. Nissan could take the market by storm if they would drop the price down to where they are still making a profit but not ripping off us customers !!
Why you hating on the wet oil pump? At least on the F150 it’s not the weak point. Especially with Kevlar belt that is rated past 1100HP. Show me one failure related to this?
I actually live pretty close to that Lokey Nissan in Clearwater and I've been eyeballing a new Titan xd for a while. Really thinking about trading in my paid off 2017 Ram 2500 on one for 0% interest. With what my truck is worth and 0% interest I can pick one up for 300 bucks a month. It'd be stupid to pass up a deal like that
I have seen some pictures the 2025 Titan so maybe Nissan is changing their mind? 0% for 60 months is GREAT, i have a 2023 RAM 1500 Classic Warlock 3.6 and maybe trade mine in on a pro 4X? That 5.6 puts out just a bit more than the 5.7 HEMI with cylinder deactivation and other nonsense including the HEMI 'tick'. I have been driving a 2023 Frontier rental for a while and i think the 3.8 has more power and acceleration than my 3.6 Warlock.
How exactly do you know it's gonna be reliable when it's brand new?
I see these prices and find nothing like that here in South Texas. Add 8 to 12 thousand to the prices you just showed. For every Pro 4 model I've found, sits at 50,000 or above, we must have a bunch of greedy dealers in my area?!
It's online price....but when you get there, it's more money!
How many gears to the transmission? Aisin?
