  • This is what its like to live with and own a 2024 Honda Civic SI
The Civic SI is Honda's affordable fun car with its 6 speed manual only having 200HP doesn't matter at all. The SI feels fast and it also handles pretty well. In Canada we also get heats front and rear seats as well as a heated steering wheel if you buy an SI in the USA you won't get those things.
If you are just starting to drive manual the Civic SI is a great place to start since the clutch is easy to use and the throws are pretty short. We also get auto rev match downshifting which allows you to come down the gears without thinking about throttle blips and its always smooth. My favorite part of the Civic SI were the seats I didn't feel like we need fancy leather seats the bucked type cloth seats were really good for sporty driving.
Overall the Civic SI is the most fun you can have in a Civic for the least amount of money.

For a first timer is it easier to go into 1st gear then older manual?

@@cashrichgaming__302I would say so. Before I bought it, I was practicing on a ‘13 civic SI and that one was less generous than the new one in terms of getting into first gear

It's totally fine if you're not really used to Manual or you might not Know how to drive Manual at all. However They say if you consistently and continually train yourself which might be the key, your whole entire self being used to it will later on hit you in the spot in an informative way.

Overprized. SI's in my area are 40k cdn. Thats GTI pricing. 4k more and you got a WRX with almost 1/3 more HP.

i just got a civic si on 06/15/24 because my 2017 honda civic hatchback sport was having a/c issues that needed a part that was gonna cost 4k to do including labor and thats close to what 3 other locations were telling me the same thing, good thing was i didn't pay for diagnostic since the last 2 told me to check with my honda dealer for warranty. thats where my service rep said after the tech narrowed it down to the problem he recommended me a temp fix and try to sell or trade it in if i didnt want to pay 4k for a/c on a 7 year old car that i still was making payments on like 4,550k was left on the loan. problems my 2017 civic had was rear suspension making noise , front bumper damage from deer, side gas cap dent , windows chips , exhaust squealing from loose bolts which were tighten before and the car needed a deep clean from hand stains on the handles and daily wear n tear. my car value from kelly blue book with 124k miles on it was 7-8k and that wasn't with the problems listed above so when i traded it there at honda for the si they gave me 9k for my car and supposedly no tax fees since trade in but i did see those on paper which im ticked off about. ive had that car since my birthday of 2021 and was my first car so it was hard to let go and made me feel sick to the stomache the next day when i no longer had that car and now im paying another loan for an si lol.
the SI is my first manual and i did drive a car before so i was familiar and a motorcycle for 6 years so it was just a refresher but man oh man did i forget it was gonna be my daily driver .....not only daily driver but im a IT tech who drives to peoples house in downtown! rip me man i wish these cars had paddle shifters!

I had one of these, 2022 blazing orange.. love this car. Had to sell it because i only really use it to get to stores near me(10 min drives) and the oil dilution was absolutely off the charts horrific. Dip stick would drip gasoline 1k post oil change.... Hope Honda figures this out
