Just chucked in this CRG Intercooler into my Nav today. A tip for making the pipe connection easier is to apply some of the rubber grease around the pipe connectors - went in easy.
Watching your videos have been a great help, I know my bank account with be very empty after watching all your videos on your NP300!! Great work mate, keep it help and hope to see more videos soon.
hey mate before you get a tune get a new cold side intake hard pipe, the OEM one is made of like 1mm plastic, mine failed 350kms away in a remote area. platinum suspension make one for about $350. best upgrade ive done!
Hey mate, thank you for putting me onto CRG, Chris fitted my intercooler and pipes, he is a true gentleman and nothing is too much trouble for him, he went over and above to help me sort out some issues he found with my series 5 Warrior. I have noticed there is a small gap at the bottom of the radiator shroud exposing the fan, just wondering if you have the same and if so is there a solution. My concern is the fan will draw from this area rather than through the radiator and also it could be an issue during water crossings.
I have recently noticed my fuel usage drop a fair amount as well. I might have to do a follow-up review in a month or so with some more info I reckon bro.
So my friend has talked me into getting a np300 and whilst youtubing some videos to see how they go I've stumbled across your channel! Safe to say I'm sold on getting a nav now and following Inna few of your footsteps.
@@jpcaptured799 yeah I've definitely been converted! I'm about to pick up my 2020 series 4 so I'm excited to follow a few tutorials and beef the big girl up 👌🏻
@@rabbit455 Thanks brother. I'm glad to hear the Nav is still going strong mate. Hopefully, I find some spare time in the future to start doing videos again 🙂
Hey mate luv all these videos i doing this now I’ve got the Ironman bar and standard grille just wondering how you fastened the bottom of the grille as due to not being able to fit the bar that Ironman supply for the bottom grille fasteners
It seems to be pretty well known (according to nissan) that these like to kill rear main seals when using an oil catch can, keen to hear your thoughts on this, ideally I'd love to know if there was actually any sort of pressure change in the crankcase that could be pushing on the seal. Good video anyways, keep it up.
@@OldMateAussie Nissan will try knock back anything they can unless you know someone at that dealership. My Diesel mechanic said 100% run a breathable catch can otherwise we will be replacing more than a rear main seal. Oh wait until we need to change injectors 😂😂😂 that’s a $5k job
Hi, Great vid as usual. Do you notice any performance difference with it fitted? Also a left field question I notice on my Series 1 there is a plastic cover on the back of the factory intercooler. Do you now why this is fitted? It seems to block the air from flowing through the intercooler efficiently. I am contemplating removing it or installing mesh to improve air flow. Not sure I can justify the CRG item however I am impressed with the quality.
my series 3 had the plastic shield also on the back. Unfortunately for the factory cooler it's mainly the position that creates the issue and not only allows the dirt to get right into it but also seems to get heat soaked a lot faster.
Hi Jp cheers from Chile, im instaling a front mount intercooler, do you remember the diameter of those alluminium pipes? also how much power you think you gained with it? Cheers!
Is it the Nissan Navara NP300 CRG PWR Street Series Intercooler Kit Bull Bar Version? Because there are a few versions like Lift/No Lift/Bull Bar... just want to check as I intend to get this and also upgrade to Dobinson 2inch lift susspension
I’ve got the same bar and winch as you but the control box is behind the grill. Just wondering if you were able to fit yours in behind the grill after you put the inter cooler in?
U shouldnt consider it.. do it cause your turbo will build up gunky stuff and cause your performance to drop.. suggests a provent 250 oil catch can..my rig didnt come with and EGR, so my PCV is routed direct to my turbo intake, but I put a stopper or a blank and rerouted it to my exhaust..

I fitted a provent catch can to my old mans NP300 last week. Bout a 45 minutes work. Easy to do. Surprising how much oil it gets.
Do you think it made a difference?
She's running cool now 🥶🥶
Stedi spotties next ? 😍

Hello, would this interfere with the intelligent braking system radar in the facelifted new np300s?
Hey mate did ya tip any oil out of the original intercooler ?
Yup sure did. A substantial amount.

i haven't tried yet to be honest.
Nice video as per usual.
hey mate, did you have to do a tune straight away? how long could you get away with one? Did you end up installing your catch can yet?
Take me with you next time 😊
Any follow up on this getting tuned.
Not just yet man, the turn is still yet to come! A couple more mods to go 🤟
They are both tube and fin cores.
Did u loose warranty coz of all the modifications
can you dyno after all the mod finished? just want to see the differences

Is your Rig gas or diesel? I have a 2.5 single turbo diesel...cheers
2.3L turbo diesel
So, the front grill isn’t installable?
It sure is 👍🏼 the factory one fits as per oem
Is this worth doing if not getting a tune? Will the car run better? 😊
blue silicone joiners are the only downside, looks good otherwise.
i thought the same, i think the kit normally comes with black joiners. Stocks may have been low...
Will the grill fit back on anyway?
Yeh man it does 😅

I cannot believe the amount of oil passing through the system. I need to prioritise a catch can kit asap for sure.
