Finally the NP300 gets a dyno tune, from the best in the business CRG Diesel on the Gold Coast! The video will show you the work & craftsmanship Chris puts into all his modifications, As well as the power increases that are possible for NP300s with a decent tune. Then we take the NP300s out to Ormeau state forest to test out the fresh tune until disaster strikes!
I had my np300 AT32 Dyno tuned, then nissan did an alteration recall to the ECU regarding the adblue.this within weeks crashed the ECU which needed replacing. I now have a throttle controller fitted, this was so much easier and is 10x better than the tune as I can change the settings depending on what I'm doing.
Bloody hell bloke, I heard the crack and I thought he hit the front diff on a rock then the second crack came And I thought shit here we go. Great video mate thanks for sharing
@jp Elephant in the room!!! The extra HP and torque going into the diff from the dude’s tune and the extra torque required to turn 33s from the diff had nothing to do with busting the diff? Yer right!
You got a point Mark . When the dif broke it looked like a controlled , steady , although bumpy climb. Should not have Happened when it did. I hope we get a follow up and please explain on this diff failure 😨
Great video mate! Definitely want to get a tune for my Nav soon. Same about the other vehicle, tho times like that make memories that last a lifetime haha.
Thanks for costing me more money LOL looks like a trip to to CRG for some gains. Just no off roading before going home. Would be interested in seeing what was required for the full repair on that front diff and associated cost's Great Vid appreciate the work.
I really is just luck of the draw sometimes when we take our rigs 4wding isn't it 😬 Chris just replaced the front diff as a complete unit however, stay tuned as there may be some upgrades to help prevent this sort of thing from happening to others.
@@MrKato525 thanks bud! Just trying to figure out if I can fit the combo on my setup. 3 inch all round no body lift so 33’s shouldn’t be too bad to fit
Going down to CRG in a week, for throttle body and hot pipe and I'll have a bit of a word about later tuning mods. I think I'll need to sort the intercooler and catch can out first before I do that.
Nice video mate. I’ve used your videos as a guide when installing things on the Nav and have found them really helpful (I.e. upgrading uppers/lowers and panhard from parts man). Off the back of this video I had some questions for you: It was worrying seeing the front diff explode like that… how common is this? Would a front E-locker in the Nav make it more likely to break CVs or the diff? What is your opinion on installing a oil catch can and rear main seals on the Nav? I.e. Do you think installing a catch can will lead to a leaking rear main? Keep up the great content, Cheers
Jp how do I prevent my front diff from blowing up like old mates from crg's and are there any good fixes for this problem. What noises and feeling should I look for
@@jpcaptured799 yehey , I will. I won’t buy yet until I watch your video. That would be a great help in which one to choose to fit my Navara M/T. Your Navara is DOPED man, I really love it.
Another awesome video, my series 5 Warrior is booked in at CRG on the 23rd to have the intercooler, hot and cold pipes replaced (after watching another one of your videos), I am looking forward to that. I have a tune and DPF back exhaust already and I tell you the difference when towing and over taking is impressive. Chris has his Nav very well set up, it was a shock to see the damage to the front drive train, is this a common thing with the Navara's? Keep up the great work mate, I look forward to your videos each week.
Sounds like your Nav is going to be getting some awesome upgrades! I still can't believe how much difference the intercooler made especially as I installed mine pre-tune. I don't think it's common however, I have seen it happen to a handful of others. normally you would see the CV axle break before this.
The only way is to chuck the dpf m8 & get a dump I know illegal but that's the only way trust me experienced! I got a 3 inch dpf back installed did nothing really only thing left in it's way is dpf, risk it for the biscuit or can just hollow your dpf out & if you get a smart cop just get another dpf installed that hasn't been guttered out before it gets inspected 😏 we smarter than them bro😌

Best feeling. 🙌😁
Another great Video , You find such nice tracks , And the power difference from stock with little mods is amazing !
Superb vid mate well done.
COME BACK TO CRG again. See what else we can break 🤣
Surprising how much power these navs crank out with basic mods. Great result

Haha, yeh the bang in the video doesn't do it justice. It was so loud, and the instant smell of diff oil ♨️
Good too see my nav at the top of the hill made the cut 🤙🤙 awesome vid mate 🍻
Which hill?? comment the time stamp so I can see :-)
9:14 and 9:19 😂😂🤘🤘🍻

I have a 2018 model. Basic was 193bhp. After running a tune it does 244bhp to the wheels
With that said done nothing to it except hot pipe
They don’t make close to 193bhp from factory mate💀
Awesome Vid JP looking forward to modding my NP, CRG Intercooler and piping kits is defs on the cards
They are a fun car to modify man. And more capable than they get credit for 😁 Enjoy your build!
Best thing u can do for a modern diesel for sure!
good 4wding section !

You won't regret getting your Nav tuned Steve 👍 that's so true mate, these trips are the ones that you always end up talking about over a few beers 🍻

hey mate, how come you went dpf back exhaust and not remove the dpf? im up to tuning my np300 but am unsure if to leave it and just turn it off
Good man thanks for that mate
I love the wheel and tyre combo Chris is running. Do we have any info on that and what lift as well? Awesome vid!
3n2 lift on 2inch body lift. runs 295/70/17 pretty sure. has 700mm shocks, hence why it flexes so well
Rims are fuel covert matte gun metal iv got them on mine was a 3 n half month wait on them last year when I ordered mine for my np300

Which engine get more hp and torque gain from the tune, np300 with 2.3 biturbo or the old 2.5 turbo?
sorry i'm not sure on the difference in these engines with tunes. someone else may be able to shed some light don't his though.
Wait, what are the numbers you got after the tune. Torque and HP?
Do you still need the throttle controller after a tune?
Hey mate do you know what offset rims the silver CRG rig was running?
Good day mate! Since you opt for bigger tires, did you regear your unit? Did you feel the unit became sluggish after bigger tire
I have not regeared the Navara, I actually prefer the way it drives with larger diameter tyres under it.
@@jpcaptured799 thanks mate!
So did u have the dpf taken out or not lol?
That's the $10,000 question is't it, haha.
The exhaust is very well done. 👌
Do CRG do them for the px3 ranger?
i actually don't know if they do. please contact them for further info on this.

I'll remember for next time 😂 Thanks mate!
Hey JP, been watching youe videos since I have my own Nav. How much is your lift? Also what is the size of your tires? Looks like 35s to me
Thanks so much for following my channel mate 🙂 my lift is 3n2 with a 295/70r17 Maxxis RAZR basically a 33.5"
Would love to know what cost to fix

leaving the DPF filter in will not worsen your fuel economy mate.
