I purchased a 140qt Orca a few months based on the testing and information from this channel. I got it on closeout from Tractor Supply. Couldn't be happier.
Please include American made lifetime with your high end tests. Yes blow molded rather than roto but same warranty as yeti and several of your other usual suspects. Have only seen you put the lifetime head to head against the bargain coolers. Thanks!
OtterBox FTW. I bought the 25 and 65 last year before anyone even knew about them. Now, if you could do a vid on all the modular accessories that set them apart from all the competitors that would be great. I think Orion comes close, but not really.
So we're talking $250 to $300 for a cooler. Why not simply invest into a real fridge at not even twice that price and forget about ice and how long it lasts? I've switched my cooler needs to a real fridge/freezer and it runs fine off the single solar panel on my teardrop as well as my car. That thing doesn't even pull 3 amps when running. Buying ice and living with water-logged groceries is just not an option anymore, no matter how well you insulate that box.
Love your videos and tests. It definitely helped me a lot to make educated decision befor buying my coolers. Thank you for that. Any ideas about Rovr coolers? They look like solid performers. Thanks again
We've reviewed Orion in the past. Check it out here: www.coolersonsale.com/orion-coolers-by-jackson-kayaks-review/ And we just wrapped up a MASSIVE Igloo Test here: www.coolersonsale.com/cheap-coolers-best-budget-cooler-based-on-performance/
We've done a tumbler comparison before here: www.coolersonsale.com/best-coffee-thermos-insulated-yeti-tumbler/ Yeti isn't bad per say, but we have found coolers that hold ice longer.
Can you test a cascade mountain tech 45qt cooler ??....I purchased one at Costco. It's a rotomolded construction super cooler. So far personally its doin very well for me I'll get a good solid 7 day ice retention on it but I'm in denver, co. So it can be different for you. But please throw in the cascade mountain tech cooler in your tests so I can brag to my friends and neighbors how great this cooler is!. Lol!....thanks and your awsome with these tests!..

Will be nice to see these test made in true heat. As in south in USA heat and not near lakes or swamps. But valley climate like say New Mexico, Utah, Texas or even Arizona. See how ice holds up in them with that type of heat.
Neither me or my buddy had good luck with them for holding ice. They are durable and strong but the lid will warp if the cooler is in direct hot sunlight. So much so that it will leave a 1/2" gap to let air in.
I've had a 50 quart what is now called Bison cooler for 5 years. It has the same ice holding ability as my newer Kong cooler of the same size. The advantage of the Kong cooler is it is easier to open and close. Build quality is the same for both.
Coolers On Sale now my problem is that I have to buy one of those Kong coolers! LOL not sure how I’m going to justify the purchase when I have so many already hahah. Thanks for the great video!
Which cooler are you making the comparison to? I am guessing the Custom Cooler Store? If so, that cooler is not half the price. It's roughly the same price.
🇺🇸🇻🇳Vietnamese people want to buy and use quality goods and products Made in USA from the United States.🇻🇳🇺🇸
If there is one thing American’s know, it’s how to keep our beer cold while having fun in the sun.
Damn right!
A men brother
Absolutely 🇺🇸
Patriot - made in China. 🤣
I'd just like to say a huge thank you for doing all these tests. I bought a yeti and orca based on your reviews. Cheers from Ontario Canada 🍻
Thats for watching!
Howdy fellow ontarian 👋🏼
300$ of ice? Pretty sure its time to invest into an ice machine
I think you're right!
@@CoolersOnSale do it.
Where's the Pelican?!?!
We've already tested them several times and they have been outperformed by the coolers shown in this video.
@@CoolersOnSale so all the coolers in this review were better than the pelican coolers?
I purchased a 140qt Orca a few months based on the testing and information from this channel. I got it on closeout from Tractor Supply. Couldn't be happier.
Awesome to hear! Thanks for sharing.
Interested in review of Cat (Caterpillar) cooler sometime. Made in USA by Veteran owned company
We will check it out! Thanks for the suggestion.
What percentage of coolers have an insulated lid? During tests do they perform better?
I believe all of the lids on roto molded coolers are insulated. Yes, they do perform better than non-insulated lids.
Please include American made lifetime with your high end tests. Yes blow molded rather than roto but same warranty as yeti and several of your other usual suspects. Have only seen you put the lifetime head to head against the bargain coolers.

Oh, and don't forget to mention that OtterBox is actually an injection molded cooler, not rotomolded.

For those that are camping in tents and not teardrops or for the weekend trip to the beach etc.
Outter box wheeled vs yeti tundra wheeled. Build quality and ice retention.
Thanks for the suggestion. We will add it to our list.
Otterbox blows away Yeti
Buy your ice at Bucce's.
Love your videos and tests. It definitely helped me a lot to make educated decision befor buying my coolers. Thank you for that. Any ideas about Rovr coolers? They look like solid performers. Thanks again
Please,
does anyone has an idea, how good the Coleman Esky 55, made in the USA does perform? Kind regards from Germany, Carlos
This is the test I was looking for. Thank you!
Nice, glad we could help! Thanks for watching!
What about Blue Coolers Made in the USA . I haven’t seen them in any of your videos just wondering where they stand , Yay or Nay ?
Have the Orca 40 (white), and love it.
Was this video made cause of what was said a few videos ago about the patriot made in china?
Ha ha, no it was already in the works based on previous recommendations. But timing is perfect!
@@CoolersOnSale yea it was Haha. That's funny
These reviews are by far the best review and tests I have seen!
Thanks!
Why would you make a cooler a dark color? Huh
Some people gotta have a matching cooler for their boat! Darker coolers only sacrifice 0.5 day of ice retention. Get the cooler that fits your style.
9.5 days....incredible!
Absolutely!
Which one
🇺🇸 another fantastic video thank you charlie 🇺🇸
Thanks Mike.... 'merica!
How don't these coolers get stolen? I mean that's a lot of money sitting out all night?
We aren't exactly in a big city.... a lot of CCWs around these parts.
That's what's happens when you live a shitty liberal area. People steal. You live in small town USA conservative. People have morals and values.
We have the best coolers until the Germans make one 😂
Holly crap had no idea how many coolers were made great videos like to see Orion and igloos

Dude, you've already tried the Nice Cooler. How good it is for ice retention.
How’d the Kenai 45 do?
Thanks 🙏🏽
We have a separate video on the Kenai.
Do a tumbler comparison from various brands and include otterbox. Also, why wasn't yeti included? Is it that bad?
We've done a tumbler comparison before here: www.coolersonsale.com/best-coffee-thermos-insulated-yeti-tumbler/ Yeti isn't bad per say, but we have found coolers that hold ice longer.
Yeti is a knockoff made in Vietnam
Mike West yeti Tundra is made in USA, and Philippines. The other models and products come from China and other places.
Great video , I hope to see a maluna in the future in a ice retention test.
We will add it to the list.
Maluna " unhinged"
Just love your reviews.
Thanks Chris!
How about those from Icey Tek? Australian designed, not made in oz though...

Why was the Cordova cooler not included as a USA cooler?
The Cordova we have tested is much smaller. It would not be a fair comparison. We will try and add a larger one.
Love this. I was doing some research and ran across Bison (formerly Brute) coolers. Any reviews on those? Says USA made.
Neither me or my buddy had good luck with them for holding ice. They are durable and strong but the lid will warp if the cooler is in direct hot sunlight. So much so that it will leave a 1/2" gap to let air in.

What country did the non US coolers come from?
How come you don’t used canyon coolers anymore for your tests?
The Canyon we had was much smaller. We need to get a larger size to make a fair comparison.
USA USA USA!
I was pretty surprised as well.
Coolers On Sale now my problem is that I have to buy one of those Kong coolers! LOL not sure how I’m going to justify the purchase when I have so many already hahah. Thanks for the great video!
Holy USA what a joy!love it🎆
Definitely a solid performance!
So otter box venture is twice the price, holds 30 quarts less, is just as big and doesnt last any longer or come in white?
Which cooler are you making the comparison to? I am guessing the Custom Cooler Store? If so, that cooler is not half the price. It's roughly the same price.
All Orca challenge
The larger Orca will hold ice longer. We have compared the 58qt to a 40qt.
Cordova anyone?
Merica
USA !
Just curious as to what exactly "holds ice" means (amount wise)? A single ice cube, a cup of ice, 1/4 the amount of ice that it started with? Thanks!
All coolers were filled to capacity with ice. You can see the full test here: ruclips.net/video/_0YmWvLvcRA/видео.html
By the looks of it it means any ice remaining, so more like the single ice cube.
I have a Pelican Elite 70 and the ice retention is JUNK! Worst 375.00 I’ve ever spent. Stay away.
So of all the coolers I trust you guys which one is best long lasting bang for the buck
