In another one of your videos you also suggested soaking your feet in Epsom salt for 15 minutes for two weeks in warm waster. I did that and my toenail fungus on both feet cleared up, and has never returned. In addition I put tea tree oil on my toe mail daily after taking a shower. Than you Dr. Berg.
My brother used this when he was younger. Also a detergent called biotex classic does miracles for toenail or feet fungus. When I was younger I had a fungus that didnt respond to regular anti fungus creams, I got it from my guinea pig, and I had to wash her with ivermectin. And this also finaly cleared up the fungus on my arm.

After trying for 2 years all sorts of stuff I got completely rid of my toenail fungus quickly thanks to a comment from someone on another Dr Berg video. WHat I did ; cut the nail short and file it a bit (on top) to make it porous. Clean any equipment you used intensly or throw it away. Make a small amount of paste by mixing baking soda and cream/oil (I used caster oil) Put the paste generous on toenail. Cover it with well with bandaid(s). Let is sit and do it's work. Repeat daily with fresh paste. Within 3 days my nail already looked different. Within 2 weeks the fungus was gone.
Wondering if the baking soda (a base product) was the better choice because of what Dr Berg said about the microbe favoring pH of 8? I was wondering if a vinegar rinse would work? Not sure how deeply the vinegar could penetrate the nail.
I got rid of bad toe fungus and infection several years ago. Since I tried various things I can't remember what worked in the end for sure and I think an improved diet may have been a major help. But rubbing alcohol is what I recall being most helpful. Not sure about toe fungus but for skin parasites and mouth and ear infections Neem is what works for me. For itchy skin esp to do with possible parasites. And for infection in the mouth, only use specific mouthwash not regular Neem in mouth. For ear infections just in the front inside of ear. Used to be easier to find real Neem without chemicals. Now need to be more careful. Needs to Smell like Neem, burnt peanut smell. And no chemicals added. Research online for ways to tell real Neem, and safe processing of Neem.
@@ColemanRG Soak your toe in 100% white vinegar for at least 15 minutes. A simple rinse is not enough, you must immerse your toe completely and allow the vinegar time to do its job. Roughing up the nail as the commentor described is a good idea also. 👍 If you really want to get extreme, you can use bleach instead of white vinegar. But you may need to slightly dilute the bleach so as to avoid burning your skin. Also, you may not want to soak your toe as long if you choose to use bleach. Burning your skin from excessive exposure to the bleach mixture is a very real concern, so don't overdo it if you choose this method.
I had no idea toenail fungus was a systemic issue rather than just a local one! The connection to vitamin D deficiency and immune suppression is eye-opening. Loved the practical tips like breathable shoes and zinc! Thanks for sharing such a detailed and natural approach-super helpful!
It is also related to mold infestation and candida or yeast overgrowth. If you ingest mold it can express as toe fungus another functional doctor suggested.
I too have tried all the black magic and witch doctor remedies (turns out all that over-priced stuff at the drug store or online is simply oils available for a fraction of the cost). Here's my post, I am replying to you, do all this. It works. In three weeks of "soaking" every other day" my stubborn fungus is gone. ____________________ I watched the Doctor's other video on soaking the feet in Epsom salts and warm water, and using Povidone iodine or lavender oil on the affected area. I also take vitamin D3-K2 in gummy form. My fungus went away (or I guess it is dormant?). To find his "epsom salt video" searching his videos for "toenail fungus" and it will turn up. Bonus Tips: He says add two tablespoons of Epsom salt to two cups of warm water. Soak for 15 minutes. But here's how I do it: I use half a cup of Epsom salt diluted and stirred into 4 cups of almost hot water. I place the plastic tub on an unused dog pee pad (to catch any water that splashes) While watching a movie or whatever I soak both feet for 30 to 45 minutes. (There is no hazard to doing this, Epsom salt is harmless to the skin.) But wait, there's more. In that same video the Doctor says that after the soaking to add some iodine or lavender oil to the affected area. (I apply it to all the toes because I'm sure there's fungus I can't see.) I bought both Povidone-Iodine and a pure extract lavender oil. After my feet are air dried I apply either iodine or the oil (I alternate each day.) Regarding this video: daily I take his recommended D3-K2 vitamins. I buy my vitamins in gummy form so it is like having a little treat
I never realized toenail fungus could be a systemic issue! This holistic approach makes so much sense - boosting the immune system instead of just relying on topical treatments.
Totally agree. People are busy so I can't blame them for not knowing the difference between (ineffective) topical-only oils or whatever, and actually taking steps to internally fight the source of the fungus. Using topicals only is at best what I call a cosmetic solution. One might make the toes look better, but give it a week the fungus will be back.
I found a solution to toe fungus on an earlier Dr. Berg video. I had it for 3 years, and NOTHING would get rid of it, even prescription cream. Finally, Dr. Berg advised me to try tea-tree oil topically, WHICH WORKED!!! I had to keep using it for several weeks, but it did the job! Eventually the nail died and fell off as a brand new one grew in. THANKS DR. BERG!
Not tea tree oil, consider nail was dead bcoz of infection and after infection dies, the area dries up, maybe that caused the nail to fall of for good, but it does grow back clean
@@mrgotan I think the fungus had permeated the nail. It was all black, and started to spread to the next toe. The Tea-tree oil killed the fungus and the black color went away. But the nail itself became dry and dead over the next several months, and finally fell off as the new, healthy nail grew in. My suspicion is that the fungus had integrated with the nail, and when it died, it also weakened the cellular structure of the nail.
@@CYndibabI I started daily. I noticed an effect within the first week. All the black went away within 2 weeks, so I stopped applying and it came back quickly. I resumed daily application and it was gone for good in about 6 weeks. You have to be patient and consistent, but it DOES work.
This is awesome. I watched a similar video you did a year ago. I carried out your steps. Every day I soaked with Epsom Salts. Then treated each affected toe (as well as unaffected for preventative to prevent spreading) with a drop or two of Iodine. I bought the White Iodine on Amazon and my nail fungus was gone in a couple months and not a year. After two months I was able to clip down the affected nail portions. The new nail just started growing right in. I now treat with Iodine every third week for 7 days as a preventative. Once again thank you for this channel as this cured something that the general consensus said cannot be cured without taking years.
I filled a little spray bottle with 70% Isopropyl alcohol and applied nightly or after showering making sure to spray the alcohol under the toenail where the fungus lives. It worked well for me and the fungus is gone. I heard apple cider vinegar has the same effect but rubbing alcohol is odorless. I apply a light moisturizer if the toe starts to get dry. Nail fungus can also be picked up from manicure/pedicure techs that don't sterilize their tools.
Thank you, this is a great video! I’ve had years and years of doctors misdiagnosing and over looking health issues. I am my own medical advocate now and self treat when needed. I worked hard in a hotel for many years and neglected myself… always on my feet hustling in bad heat. My feet and lower legs suffered greatly. My socks were always wet… I had toenail fungus for a long time and didn’t know it. I also have dry flaky skin super bad from my toes to my scalp and don’t know what it is. I just bought TeaTree anti fungal cream and it helped quickly. My feet were burning and peeling blisters between my toes so I think it was athletes foot. I also use castor oil on my toe nails for nail fungus but the minute I stop for a week the fungus comes back unfortunately. Several doctors just tell me that it’s dry skin use more lotion and they overlooked the toenail fungus for years. Dr. Berg, you have helped me more than the doctors have. Please keep creating videos and sharing your knowledge to help people like me.
Anything fungal including fungal acne - I’ve found that head and shoulders slathered on the area for 5 minutes a day eliminates the issue quickly❤ it contains 1% zinc pyrithione
Head and shoulders will treat it cosmetically at the surface. When you stop, it will eventually come back because you are not treating the root cause. Eliminate sugar and process foods, increase raw cruciferous vegetables and increase vitamin d to eradicate the fungus
I was stung by a honey bee on my toe which formed a huge blister. After that finally healed, that toenail got that fungus. I tried different treatments but one day you spoke about clove oil killing fungus and bacteria so I started using that on it. I think it's cured but I am afraid to quit the clove oil treatment yet. I will up my Vitamin D and get some Zinc P cream. Thanks!
I had my large toenail completely removed because it was such an issue. I got it without the acid so it’s now grown back very nicely without any issue. But I took the medication for 3 months and had many side effects from it. It was not until after all this that my endocrinologist said I was severely low in Vitamin D3. If the problem arises again, I’ll definitely keep up with this approach. I also have Cushing’s Disease which my insurance won’t let me get an mri on my pituitary. I’ve had a lump on my neck since a child and had stunted growth. A lot of these imbalances affect everything.
Great info!! One thing you didn’t mention is about the nail detaching. If part of the nail detached- will it be permanent or will it eventually grow back? Thanks for caring!
I was prescribed Turbinefine 250mg for my toe nail fungal infection (8 out of 10 toe nails visibly infected) with regular blood tests to monitor my Liver, it takes a long time to see progress on the nails. I take 4000IU Vit D currently, will try upping dosage to see if it helps more and let people know if it is faster.Ty for the advice as always.
My hubby has had the jock itch feet and he treats any outbreaks with a tea tree spray which we can buy at the supermarket. I also always add about half to one cup of bicarbonate soda to the machine when I wash his socks which helps neutralise odours.
I'm 1 month into Diflucan, total 3 months initially. I tried epsom salts, iodine, hydrogen peroxide, lotrimin. My onychomycosis isnt detrimental, but it is off-putting to look at, curves the nail, and keratin build up is obnoxious to trim. Wish me luck✌
I started getting it on my toe (I'm a 28 year old woman). Started rubbing in a drop of oregano oil on there very thoroughly and a few months past, it's gone. Applied some on surrounding ties too every once in a while to prevent spreading.
Do you use oregano essential oil topically or Oil of oregano? I've been using just oil of oregano (not on my toenails) but Ingesting it in water for systemic candidal infection & I haven't noticed any improvement yet.
@onyxsafira2813 I've been rubbing it on the toenail making sure it gets into the side creases and everything. I do ingest it only when I'm sick. I think diet will play biggest role in the candida and some other things :) like, the oil of oregano is probably a useful addition but it can't get rid of candida all by itself!
I don’t have the fungus but on my thumbs “only”the nail splits right down the centre “very strange” now the nail doesn’t split right through the nail to the flesh and my Dr when I asked her what was happening she said “idk” and left it at that 😡 so Dr have you ever seen this?? Thx and absolutely love your channel!! ❤️🇨🇦
Dear Dr Berg, thanks for another informative and straight to the point video. I used to have serious funghal infection between the same two toes on either foot - for years. I treated it with various tinctures, nature products and compounds with varying levels of success. But what I did find - conclusively - is that certain types or 'artificial rubber' plastics bring it back instantly - and I mean within hours if not less following wearing certain boots. The boots can be almost brand new, so I don't think it has nothing to do with reinfection: I cannot ascertain certainly what is going on, and experiments with cut-off toes on these boots (so no foot sweat) brings about the same result. It seems to be *the presence* of the plastic which is the issue - analogous to a quiet allergic reaction. Could plastics really be suppressing the (local/bodily) immune system that fast? It's hard to imagine, but the phenomenon which I have tested again and again, and the results are clear. The best anti funghal cream/treatment is a Russian salve applied topically, which seems to really 'kill off' the infection rather than pushing it into dormancy - I have never read the ingredients, perhaps I ought. Wearing 100% woolen socks mitigates the problem rather well, and of course it's hard to find 100% wool products these days (wool must have added synthetics to become machine knittable) as they can only be handmade - I get mine from friends in Russia. I suspect immuno-repression by certain plastics or their vapours/leeching, yet I can't see how it could take effect so quickly. With best wishes.
Thanks for all you do to educate us on proper health, you are greatly appreciated! I'll share some observations, sent with love. It's time to stop dying your hair, it makes you look much older. Once I quit coloring my hair people would tell me how much younger I look. Hoping you can benefit from my experiece.
Dr Berg notes: Treating a fungal infection with medication can cause several side effects, including liver damage! Toenail fungus is often blamed on sweat and can cause other skin infections such as jock itch, athlete’s foot, beard infections, and even scalp infections. When attempting to treat a fungal infection topically, the cream will not penetrate deep enough into the nail to kill the toenail fungus. Toenail fungus can evade your immune system through several mechanisms, including growing slowly, suppressing T cells, and going dormant for long periods of time. The T. rubrum microbe that causes toenail fungus is resistant to UV radiation. When your T cells are healthy and active, it forces this microbe into remission. A cooler, dry environment can also put it into a dormant state. A change in environment, such as pH, temperature, or moisture, can bring it out of remission. A suppressed immune system is the leading cause of a toenail fungal infection. Stress, diabetes, obesity, antibiotics, and a vitamin D deficiency can suppress your immune system and cause toenail fungus to come out of remission. Vitamin D is the most important nutrient for your immune function. Your toenails contain vitamin D receptors, but toenail fungus can downgrade them. Toenail fungus prevention starts with a strong immune system and a hostile environment for toenail fungus. High amounts of vitamin D can help! Consider taking at least 25,000 IU of vitamin D daily to get rid of toenail fungus. Vitamin D strengthens the immune system and addresses toenail fungus at the systemic level. Zinc pyrithione, breathable shoes, and proper foot hygiene can also aid in toenail fungus prevention. Thank you Dr Berg! 😺👍
Toe socks have been instrumental in fungus prevention for me. Keeps everything dry, especially between the toes. Less chaffing and irritation while walking is an added bonus.
Based on another video, I started to take more D3 (not as regular as I should) as well as take more sunshine at 40 minute daily intervals when possible. I did see a kind of "retreat" in my toe nail fungus but now with this video, its all out war! I'll try your D3 supplementation suggestion and look for a topical zinc. Thank you Dr. Berg!
I’ve been using tea tree foot salt and oil on my toes and also I’ve noticed taking a gall bladder enzyme has really helped a lot as well. It is finally going away after the doctor said it would never go away. All my toes look great except my big toes which it is actually just growing out now and I’m seeing healthy nail growing back. I noticed a lot of health ailments are improved with the gallbladder enzymes I’m taking
If you put a few drops of Black Walnut Hull tincture on the nail, the fungus dissapears at once. The nail goes normal color from white in one second. Possibly one has to put it once angain, but it seems to be very effective very quick. You can use it for all kinds of fungus and put it into a cat's black ears, it goes away. I put it three times. He stopped scratching and it went clean without cleaning, just with the tincture. I mixed it with Pau'D'Arco tincture, in case it would not work with Black Walnuit alone, and the mixture worked.
@Pickwickiansyndrome-o2e Same here, I used one of the strongest forms of nascent iodine which is pretty much the most volatile thing to bacteria, viruses and fungus that there is and it didn't go away in one treatment.. but it probably would have if i continued soaking the nail for a week.. gonna try it again.. I don't think going dormant can save it from iodine.
@mattyh-n5553 I started IF about 4 years ago. In the first year I barely had any carbs or sugar at all. During this time is when my nail fungus disappeared quickly. Probably within 6 months. I'd had it for many many years. However, once I lost 40 pounds in about that first year I started eating both carbs and sugar. However, nothing like how I did before beginning IF. I'm not sure the fungus would have gone away if I didn't start my IF on a non keto type diet. I just know ever since I moved to IF on a non keto path it has never came back after 3 years.
@@thefootmodel3482 interesting as this was my theory. Sugars and carbs proliferate cells, and they have been shown to do this with cancer cells too. It's a hard task but one that I may try. Even just cutting down on carbs. 🙏
Using a combination of DMSO and Colloidal Silver is what worked for me. The DMSO helps the colloidal silver penetrate further into the nail and nail bed. I did this on top of the high dose vitamin D.
Once a nail salon gave me an issue with my feet. So I added essential oils Thyme and Tea Tree Oil to my body oil and poured it on my toes and feet everyday until the issue went away after a week or so. That was years ago and another time during the pandemic. I still regularly do this still because I’m paranoid. 😅
@ Good to know. I keep oregano oil in my cabinet. I’ll use it if I have this problem ever again. Hopefully I won’t because I’ve avoided nail salons ever since.
I was having a heck of time with fungus in one of my big toes. Somewhere, online, I read menthol worked. I had some Vicks VapoRub and rubbed it on my toe nail morning and night. It took about two months but I could see a big improvement. As you said, it stays dormant, so every now and then I see an area where, once again, fungus is taking hold. What I liked about this solution was that my nail didn't turn yellow like it did with the over the counter fungus treatments - which didn't work at all anyway. Also, the part about things growing on the bad meat. I bought pancake mix and didn't use if for maybe a year. So it was unopened. When I did go to use it, inside the sealed bag were flour weevels. So those bug eggs were in the flour.
I had to stop taking zinc again because my hair started falling out. I was taking your oil with zinc in it. My immune system is great! I took in a kitten who had ringworm and my other cats got it and so did my hubby. Took my cat to the vets to meds and i got a cream for my hubbys arm. Vet said i had a great immune system since i didn't get ringworm and i bathed my cats without gloves. Just wish i could get rid of the pain in my hands and feet. I hurt them from being on the treadmill to long years ago.
Hey Dr. Berg, I feel when I started doing a carnivore diet had have had massive improvements on both my fingernails and toenails both, especially fingernails. What do you think coincidence or the fact that carnivore is the closest to 0 carbs one can attain? I’d love your thoughts and thank you for your non-stop content you provide humanity💪💐👏
I had this fungus in the thumb my right feet for 2 years.. Half of my nail was white filled with pus and smelly... I didnt know what was the issue, i got it tested for fungal infection vut it came negative... I was severly deficient of vitamin D. It was just 3... I started taking vitamin D 4 months back and now my nail is 95% healed and back to its normal color..
Instead of trying to find vitamin D3 in liquid form, they could just prick a capsule with a pin and squeeze it out. I remember my mom doing this with vitamin E capsules for a scar on her arm after a surgery. 🙂👌
Vick's worked for me. You have to be vigilant. Morning and night. Goober it up well, put clean socks on. It takes a long time until the nail grows out. It is hepful to file the top of the nail a bit. Always use seperate clippers and other toenail tools from the ones you use for you infected nail or disinfect thoroughly. This problem for me has not returned in more than twentyfive years.
Vitamin D is so beneficial and I take vitamin K with it, but when is the best time of day to take it and should it be taken with my other supplements? Should it be taken all at once, or throughout the day? Thank you! 😊
Indeed. I had treatment when i was a kid (from 6 to 10 i struggled with this infection on both my big toenails, never understood why) and i took a bunch of medecine for this. I had to stop eventually because my test results were worrying my doctor (liver and kidney didnt look healthy, i was a healthy child other than that!) and i ended up treating it away with essential oils and topical “creams”.

Excellent video! I mitigated my toenail fungus by applying the inside of a banana peel taped around my toes each night, and it also worked very well, but this data gets to the source! Perfect!
Hot water submerged toe killed an annoying fungus on my foot. It used to get so itchy at night sometime that I had to scrarch it till I broke the skin and spray vinegar to relieve the itch. Dipped my toe in hot water that it was tolerable for around 20 seconds and pulled out and repeated it until the water was luke warm, put the water in the microwave to make it hot again and repeat the process. Honestly it fell so good to dip my toe in the hot water as it felt my toe was being scratched but I guess it was the temperature killing the fungus but also felt the pain on the unaffected skin. The skin is cured from the fungus and itch and now just have to reverse the nail fungus. Probably going to dip more in hot warer.
I noticed a small area on the side of my big toenail where my nail was yellow and the nail was lifting from the nail bed. Freaked me out. 😬 I started putting cbd oil around my cuticle and under the nail. It killed it! My nail never fell off, it just grew out and is all fine now. 😊
I had very small area on my big toe nail that was damaged then it became infected with a fungus that was in the nail bed.. I tried everything including cutting the whole area that was infected nothing worked.. Then I caught a flu bug that turned into a chest infection, someone recommended putting Vicks vapour rub on my feet before bed .. I did that every night for a week it helped and then I noticed the infected area on my big toe had completely disappeared and the nail is totally back to normal!.. I can only think it was the Vicks vapour rub!.. So yes it’s definitely worth trying and won’t harm you.

I contracted a toenail fungus while I was pregnant and my immune system was suppressed. My husband had had the toenail fungus for a few years and could not get rid of it with just treating it topically. I was determined not to take medication, oral or topical, so I did a daily foot soak with apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, Epsom salt, and oregano and tea tree essential oils and cured my toenail fungus in a year. My husband had been doing the foot soak nightly too, but he did not use apple cider vinegar or the EOs and he quit doing the foot soak bc he did not think he was getting any results. Mine worked though!

Shalom Dr. B and thank you for sharing. I have had fungal infections for maybe 45 plus years. I use to get very bad athletes foot as a young teenager, it was painful to walk during the bad flare-ups; way worse than now. In my early twenties I think, an old Doctor of mine refused to give me Lamisil for my toenail fungus, because of my AIDS related infection and kidney concerns. Sometimes, I use castor oil on my toes or I take a hot bath and soak in epsom salt, but normally I have just learned to live with it. However, attempting to cut the thick white crud from my nails is a very difficult challenge, and sometimes, my toes nails would come off in large amounts. Recently, certain nails are growing in crooked, one is causing a little pain. Who would have thought four decades later, and am still here to collect, share and communicate information. Shalom
I have had one toenail that has resisted treatment for the past 6 months. I also happen to be in treatment for reactivated Lyme disease from Covid. There’s a connection to vitamin D for both Lyme and fungus, as I learned today. I just upped my vit D from 10000 IU to 25000 IU yesterday and I swear the toe looks slightly better overnight.
Hi Doctor Berg. I am English and as you may know, our NHS national health care system is broken, under pressure from a variety of reasons most of which I am not allowed to repeat. I have had SIBO, toe nail fungus, psoriasis ,weight loss, vitamin deficiencies, brain fog, etc for 3 years after Covid jabs and the virus itself and I think taking prescribed stomach anti acid meds for more than a year. I have an auto immune disease called Graves Disease, which it triggers repeatedly. Then SIBO started to affect my kidneys and caused CKD and high Proteinuria.? 3 years later my kidney function is 32 and although with your help and excellent videos my SIBO is a little better than it was, I cannot seem to get rid of it .Nor has my kidney problem and Proteinuria improved it is worse. Doctors here say all of my 6 or 7 symptoms are unconnected and our system is so broken here, that we are not even allowed to mention two symptoms at one doctor consultation, it is nuts and very frustrating. Taking a positive view with your help and CKD apart, I fell better than I did 6 months. ago. Many thanks Doc. Mark, Chichester England.
I'm sorry to hear of your issues Mark. Have you looked at the flccc website regarding information for treatment of covid v🪓 side effects? (I'm also from the UK, not far, in Portsmouth. I was in Chichester last week in fact). Completely agree about the NHS
In the last year I had a little visitor on one of my finger nails, had some gel polish work done and it lasted a long time. When I removed it found the green stuff on one of the finger nails. I used a CVS paint on preparation (over the counter) and I decided to do some hand washing of white clothing using some bleach, hot water and clear unscented detergent. Got clothing nice and white and my hand too. Kept trimming down my nails. Used a cosmetology sterilzation oven to clean nail tools. A thorough covering of all things to prevent me from causing a larger issue. Glad I've not got feet issues, tea tree oil products are nice for the feet, for regular days; nothing special. I had a feeling there were larger issues with the immune system. I spend half a year in New Mexico, we have wild penicillin mold here. I am wondering if that might have some bearing on my issues. Antibiotic exposure, it's interesting. It certainly sneaky stuff.
I had a fungus in one of my nails for over 20 years… it wasn’t horrible but it was there no matter how many anti fungals i user. Until I tried oregano oil, it has been gone for years now and my nails looks great… i had the oregano oil diluted in a tbsp of olive oil daily for a few days every month…
Thank you Dr. Berg. I remember from another video that a type of iodine drop could help, this video is very encouraging for new scientists who are curious to find out the cause of a medical issue, even a toe nail fungus, and it should be taken very seriously. Just wonder how it looks like when in dormant.😮

Vicks vapo rub kills fungus immediately. I've used it on both athletes foot, and thrush. Yes, it burns. (Most noticeable against thrush.) But my thrush had gotten so bad it was cracked and bleeding. Constant pain and burning, anyway. The vapo rub burn was no worse. Overnight the thrush was almost completely gone. Only took like 3 nights to get rid of it completely.

I was wondering if a vinegar rinse would work? Not sure how deeply the vinegar could penetrate the nail.
Can I use tea tree oil instead of castor oil?
I too had success using castor oil for fingernail fungus...hint: don't let co-workers use your mouse!
@@ColemanRG Soak your toe in 100% white vinegar for at least 15 minutes. A simple rinse is not enough, you must immerse your toe completely and allow the vinegar time to do its job. Roughing up the nail as the commentor described is a good idea also. 👍
If you really want to get extreme, you can use bleach instead of white vinegar. But you may need to slightly dilute the bleach so as to avoid burning your skin. Also, you may not want to soak your toe as long if you choose to use bleach. Burning your skin from excessive exposure to the bleach mixture is a very real concern, so don't overdo it if you choose this method.

God bless him 🙏
I had no idea toenail fungus was a systemic issue rather than just a local one!
I recently saw a video by a Dr who was saying take papaya and Bromelain enzymes supplements, this helps clean up internally. Toe nail fungus. .
Definitely systemic, warts similarly via immune function.
I've struggled with toe fungus for a while. I'm glad you covered this and I'm looking forward to applying this and fixing my feet. Thanks.
____________________
I watched the Doctor's other video on soaking the feet in Epsom salts and warm water, and using Povidone iodine or lavender oil on the affected area. I also take vitamin D3-K2 in gummy form. My fungus went away (or I guess it is dormant?).
To find his "epsom salt video" searching his videos for "toenail fungus" and it will turn up.
Bonus Tips:
He says add two tablespoons of Epsom salt to two cups of warm water. Soak for 15 minutes. But here's how I do it:
I use half a cup of Epsom salt diluted and stirred into 4 cups of almost hot water. I place the plastic tub on an unused dog pee pad (to catch any water that splashes) While watching a movie or whatever I soak both feet for 30 to 45 minutes. (There is no hazard to doing this, Epsom salt is harmless to the skin.)
But wait, there's more.
In that same video the Doctor says that after the soaking to add some iodine or lavender oil to the affected area. (I apply it to all the toes because I'm sure there's fungus I can't see.)
I bought both Povidone-Iodine and a pure extract lavender oil. After my feet are air dried I apply either iodine or the oil (I alternate each day.)
Regarding this video: daily I take his recommended D3-K2 vitamins.
Can you make a video about mold illness and it's many symptoms? It's a growing problem that goes undiscovered.
THANKS DR. BERG!
So the tea oil made the nail to fell off? Is that what it does?
Not tea tree oil, consider nail was dead bcoz of infection and after infection dies, the area dries up, maybe that caused the nail to fall of for good, but it does grow back clean
💭💭 HOW often did YOU apply the tree tea oil on your nail❔
Thank you for this information,i have this problem and didnt know what to do about it!
That information has helped me understand why my toenail fungus won’t budge. I’m a runner and have just learned to live with it.
Thankyou 😊
Probably being re-infected from your shoes.
Thanks for sharing your story here. I'll do my best to create more videos that can help you all. Stay safe and healthy!
Anything fungal including fungal acne - I’ve found that head and shoulders slathered on the area for 5 minutes a day eliminates the issue quickly❤ it contains 1% zinc pyrithione
thank you, i will try ;)
Head and shoulders will treat it cosmetically at the surface. When you stop, it will eventually come back because you are not treating the root cause. Eliminate sugar and process foods, increase raw cruciferous vegetables and increase vitamin d to eradicate the fungus
Ummm no head and shoulders for me . Their are way more natural and more powerful alternatives.. nice try.
Zinc is also critical for prostate problems along with vitamin B6! And.. (saw palmetto)
Thanks!
I used to just use Vick’s and it worked perfectly
Yup, very effective
For how long?
@ legit a week and you will notice a difference, fungus clears up quick. Quick rub on every day, clear in no time
@ Daily before bedtime, mine took about 2 weeks.
Didn't work for me! I used it for 4 months what is helping is the original listerine gold!
Followed this advice from this man a couple years ago. It worked. Problem solved. Just do it!
How long did it take? @noehctuccmliw
Did you take the 25000 iu of vitamin D daily? Just seems a very high dose and not sure what side effects could be?
We're so proud of you, Dr. Berg! ❤
Genius Doctor, always delivering good news. thank you Dr. Berg.
Most welcome!
Have the same thing. It's what Dr Berg was just talking about in This video. The nail proteín is being eaten by the fungus that's why it splits.
B 12 deficiency !
Dr Berg notes:
Treating a fungal infection with medication can cause several side effects, including liver damage!

What's the dose NEEDED of K2/MK7 FOR 25K IU VIT D....200 mcg??
@gailwendtland5970 100mcg k2 for every 10k iu d3, so 250mcg k2
Vitamin D or D3
@@gailwendtland5970i think he said that before, also magnesium helps
@megadirettore8946 d3..d2 less effective
Toe socks have been instrumental in fungus prevention for me. Keeps everything dry, especially between the toes. Less chaffing and irritation while walking is an added bonus.
And they look cute too !
Make a video of this I do not believe it was fungus with one treatment.

Thank you Sir
Wow. Thank you Dr Berg, Fungal infections are so hard to treat.
My toe nail fungus along with a bunch of other issues went away when I started intermittent fasting with less sugar intake.
Is it sugar or carbohydrates. That's my question.
Carbs are polysaccharides (many sugars) linked together.@@mattyh-n5553
@@thefootmodel3482 interesting as this was my theory. Sugars and carbs proliferate cells, and they have been shown to do this with cancer cells too. It's a hard task but one that I may try. Even just cutting down on carbs. 🙏
Thank You, Doc! I'm dealing with that right now! I voted for you! Hope you win!!
Thank you for the support!!
Using a combination of DMSO and Colloidal Silver is what worked for me. The DMSO helps the colloidal silver penetrate further into the nail and nail bed. I did this on top of the high dose vitamin D.

I used tea tree with eucalyptus oil for about a week, perfect!
Oregano oil is supposed to be good as well.
@ Good to know. I keep oregano oil in my cabinet. I’ll use it if I have this problem ever again. Hopefully I won’t because I’ve avoided nail salons ever since.
Thanku for the tips , i am facing this for last 2,3 months
Thank you! 😊
D should be taken in the morning as it converts to melatonin at night.
Magnesium. He has a video on it.
I have it on my hand though, only 1 finger, for like 10 years now, and not on my toes, which is weird, anyway I'll try vitamin D, it can't hurt.
It comes and goes every few years since, i ll try taking high doses of vit D and see if it works

Wow, interesting. I love your videos. I’ve learnt so much. Thank you.
Hello Stella, great to hear from you. Really glad you are enjoying the videos. Keep it up!

what about using vicks vaport rub? I heard it can help.
I had very small area on my big toe nail that was damaged then it became infected with a fungus that was in the nail bed.. I tried everything including cutting the whole area that was infected nothing worked.. I did that every night for a week it helped and then I noticed the infected area on my big toe had completely disappeared and the nail is totally back to normal!.. I can only think it was the Vicks vapour rub!.. So yes it’s definitely worth trying and won’t harm you.

Hello Dr.Berg can you do an updated video on indigestion and causes an how to combat? Does it also cause smelly breath?...Thanks Dr.
That's an easy one.....add 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar to 4 oz of water and drink up....that will rid indigestion, acid reflux and heartburn. The apple cider vinegar will work better than antacids and there are no side effects from wrecking your stomachs microbiome.
Something that works really well for indigestion is half a teaspoon of bi carb of soda in about half a glass of water. It works wonders!
In the past he has suggested Betaine HCl taken BEFORE a meal. People think indigestion is too much acid, it's actually not enough.
Matcha green tea works for that very well

Have you tried high dose vitamin D?
thank you. I’m sure my husband will thank you when I share/start some of these solutions.
Did you do it daily?
My podiatrist recommended using Vick’s vapo rub on the nails 2x daily, it is a slow fix, but does work!
Please please make a video about how to treat glucoma.
The fact that we get free medical videos on RUclips by Doctor Eric Berg is truly a gift. 🙏🏻🙏🏽🙏
Thank you Dr. Berg. I remember from another video that a type of iodine drop could help, this video is very encouraging for new scientists who are curious to find out the cause of a medical issue, even a toe nail fungus, and it should be taken very seriously. Just wonder how it looks like when in dormant.😮
@dr berg you should mention the co factors for vit d when recommending high doses of it
He shared in recent videos

Iodine dries up fungal bacteria. Use after bath.
Thanks Dr. BERG. 😊
Yes cured my toenail with 5 % Iodine in few weeks , but it came back a year later and again 2 weeks of Iodine on toenail and its gone
FYI- fungus is not a bacteria. Two completely different types of microorganisms.

"it came back a year later "
Was it during the time of year you stay in doors mostly?
@@scotttovey I got it during/after summer, from sweaty feet I guess

If you spend less time outside due to the heat of summer, that is what caused your vitamin D deficiency and by extension the condition.
If you do spend less time outside due to the heat of summer, then you know that during summer months, you need to take a daily does of vitamin D3 to stave off the deficiency as well as the recurrence of the condition.
Organic roasted garlic ❤ helps in so many ways ❤
That's nice. Thanks for the idea. Take care.
Thanks alot drberg for your wonderful explanation 👍👍❤👌❤🙏
I started questioning everything, especially advice from government health organizations after reading Health and Beauty Mastery by Julian Bannett, this book exposes so many shocking truths about the health industry.
Dr. Berg, how would it manifest itself on the scalp? Would it cause hair loss?
