I love the difference in scenes at 2:37. One shows you how powerful Diana actually is while the other completely nerfs her down. She was able to use her bracelets to overcome Ares and absorb Doomsday’s blast, but she can’t seem to do any damage with them to Steppendog in Josstice League.
However in in this version at 1:47, Flash saves and falls onto her before getting crushed. Which is stupid like why does Flash need to save her. We know she’s powerful as mentioned in this comment

I’ll say this. The ONLY thing the theatrical version improved on in this part was that it gave a reason for Barry to give Diana her sword. Parademons were pursuing her and she needed the weapon to defend herself. In the director’s cut, she could have easily just picked it up off the ground. There was nothing chasing after her in that moment.

And the intro to the theatrical version shows the black flag with the silver S in more places around the world, and not just in one place like Zack's version.

As if the death of Superman was just yesterday when in terms of continuity it doesnt make sense because suicide squad and wonder woman reference superman being dead and gone for a while it took time for Bruce to find the rest of the League members hence the Suicide Squad post credit scene and Wonder Woman ending. Plus the movie literally starts off with the death of superman followed by only Lois still mourning for Clark's death. The world moved on while she is still struck hard with grief

Josstice league parademons prioritize to take Flash but when Diana saved him Steppenwolf just stood like a dummy, while Snyder cut shows that he is down that's why Diana was able to save Flash. Snyder cut explains a lot of idiocy of Josstice league scenes.

Hated this scene in theatrical... Felt like a contrived advert for toy Nightcrawler merchandise. But the ZSJL scene is a great action sequence with real weight, and it flows beautifully.
1:58 worst part of Joss ver, among all other shitty things. Gal Gadot actually disagreed on this scene because it harms wonder woman's characteristics. But Joss really wanted to put this scene in, so he used understudy for that scene and added it to the movie, without telling Gal.
One added bit I liked in Josstice is that the parademon is hot on Diana’s tail as she struggles to retrieve her falling sword during the Flash timey wimey sequence. Makes her desperation to retrieve in that moment make more sense dramatically. But the larger arc of the scene, the emotional purpose of it, is for Cyborg to save his father and get that moment with him outside. That gives the whole sequence more weight in ZSJL. Appears Joss took that out and made the scene about Flash finding his courage instead
Okay this might be random but I hate how when in superhero/action-adventure movies when a character (usually one that fights with a close quarters combat weapon) will see a gun or explosive and be like "hahaha how primitive. Like bro. You are using a fucking AXE. Literally one of the first inventions EVER crafted by pre developed humans millions of years ago. And you are holding a missile, a metal tube full of chemicals and compounds specified to pack incredible explosive power into a toddler-sized package, and you are calling it primitive with your barbarian looking ass. It’s a cool shot, but that shot was also snyder’s, but they decided to take it out. Maybe because it got repetitive, because she does it 2 more times after that. There are a lot of things zack shot that didn’t make it into the movie. Another example is there was a scene in the flashback with Darkseid that you see a warrior from the good side turning into a parademon that was cut out. I guess they had their reasons.
God, I hate Batman's "Jesus, he's tall" line so much. Even when I wached it in theatre I was pissed because it didn't make sense. Just months prior to this scene, Batman faced Doomsday who was bigger & maybe a bit taller than Steppenwolf, but here he's shocked by Steppenwolf because of his height. WTF!? How can you still be surprised when you see another giant!? Whedon ruined this movie so much, it's almost criminal.

I like Justice League, but I was disappointed that multiple scenes featured in the trailers and television spots were either reshot or excised. Danny Elfman's score was epic in two scenes, but Junkie XL's music was EVEN MORE EPIC. And I love Elfman's nods to Superman (1978) and Batman (1989), but they do not fit this iteration of Batman and Superman, although I do not mind them in Justice League. I did not mind Cyborg's arc being butchered, since I do not read comic bookes, and the shots of Miss Prince's backside did not bother me (I am heterosexual). The shot of The Flash falling on Wonder Woman's bosom also did not bother me because he was saving her from falling debris in the tunnel. Still, I secretly hoped for a director's cut on home video. When Snyder announced that his version of Justice League was green-lit, I was beyond excited. However, when I read about a black-and-white version of the cut confirmed to be released a week after the regular version, I swore not to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League unless I could view both the colour and black-and-white versions, since the latter is Snyder's preferred version of his cut. Although I had read about Snyder's plans, I somehow managed to eschue reading spoilers and seeing full clips. I bought Justice League on home video last year so I would be able to compare both when I could. I saw Justice League for the third time on home video two days before a family member was able to pay for a subscription to HBO Max so I could watch Zack Snyder's Justice League, Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition, and several other photo plays to make the subscription worth it. The day after Thanksgiving, I was finally able to watch it. I LOVE Zack Snyder's Justice League. It is ABSOLUTELY EPIC. A MASTERPIECE. The aspect ratio and running time are nothing new to me. It is well worth spending four hours and two minutes (or eight hours and four minutes if you also decide to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition). The narrative, thematic, and musical continuity established in Man Of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition, and Wonder Woman has finally been restored. Hated this scene in theatrical... Felt like a contrived advert for toy Nightcrawler merchandise. But the ZSJL scene is a great action sequence with real weight, and it flows beautifully.
1:58 worst part of Joss ver, among all other shitty things. Gal Gadot actually disagreed on this scene because it harms wonder woman's characteristics. But Joss really wanted to put this scene in, so he used understudy for that scene and added it to the movie, without telling Gal.
It was stupid, especially because he did the same in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and many didn't like it.
The music is the biggest difference. Junkie XL’s score sounds more intense and memorable
One added bit I liked in Josstice is that the parademon is hot on Diana’s tail as she struggles to retrieve her falling sword during the Flash timey wimey sequence. Makes her desperation to retrieve in that moment make more sense dramatically. But the larger arc of the scene, the emotional purpose of it, is for Cyborg to save his father and get that moment with him outside. That gives the whole sequence more weight in ZSJL. Appears Joss took that out and made the scene about Flash finding his courage instead

Okay this might be random but I hate how when in superhero/action-adventure movies when a character (usually one that fights with a close quarters combat weapon) will see a gun or explosive and be like "hahaha how primitive. Like bro. You are using a fucking AXE. Literally one of the first inventions EVER crafted by pre developed humans millions of years ago. And you are holding a missile, a metal tube full of chemicals and compounds specified to pack incredible explosive power into a toddler-sized package, and you are calling it primitive with your barbarian looking ass. They did the same joke in Black Panther with Okoye talking about guns and it annoyed me then

It’s a cool shot, but that shot was also snyder’s, but they decided to take it out. Maybe because it got repetitive, because she does it 2 more times after that. There are a lot of things zack shot that didn’t make it into the movie. Another example is there was a scene in the flashback with Darkseid that you see a warrior from the good side turning into a parademon that was cut out. I guess they had their reasons.
That was actually in the final battle when she tries to doge the lase beam which about to hit batman

God, I hate Batman's "Jesus, he's tall" line so much. Even when I wached it in theatre I was pissed because it didn't make sense.
Just months prior to this scene, Batman faced Doomsday who was bigger & maybe a bit taller than Steppenwolf, but here he's shocked by Steppenwolf because of his height. WTF!? How can you still be surprised when you see another giant!? Whedon ruined this movie so much, it's almost criminal.

I like Justice League, but I was disappointed that multiple scenes featured in the trailers and television spots were either reshot or excised. Danny Elfman's score was epic in two scenes, but Junkie XL's music was EVEN MORE EPIC. And I love Elfman's nods to Superman (1978) and Batman (1989), but they do not fit this iteration of Batman and Superman, although I do not mind them in Justice League. I did not mind Cyborg's arc being butchered, since I do not read comic bookes, and the shots of Miss Prince's backside did not bother me (I am heterosexual). The shot of The Flash falling on Wonder Woman's bosom also did not bother me because he was saving her from falling debris in the tunnel. Still, I secretly hoped for a director's cut on home video. When Snyder announced that his version of Justice League was green-lit, I was beyond excited. However, when I read about a black-and-white version of the cut confirmed to be released a week after the regular version, I swore not to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League unless I could view both the colour and black-and-white versions, since the latter is Snyder's preferred version of his cut.
Although I had read about Snyder's plans, I somehow managed to eschue reading spoilers and seeing full clips. I bought Justice League on home video last year so I would be able to compare both when I could. I saw Justice League for the third time on home video two days before a family member was able to pay for a subscription to HBO Max so I could watch Zack Snyder's Justice League, Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition, and several other photo plays to make the subscription worth it.
The day after Thanksgiving, I was finally able to watch it. I LOVE Zack Snyder's Justice League. It is ABSOLUTELY EPIC. A MASTERPIECE. The aspect ratio and running time are nothing new to me. It is well worth spending four hours and two minutes (or eight hours and four minutes if you also decide to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition). The narrative, thematic, and musical continuity established in Man Of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition, and Wonder Woman has finally been restored.
I have seen Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition V times. It is never boring, and always thrilling. A director's vision must always be respected by the studio.
Watch Justice League first. Then view Zack Snyder's Justice League to compare both.
