Great job on Kraid. I still managed to beat him on my first try but I always have such a hard time switching to my missiles and super missiles in time to hit him. For some reason while jumping around and dodging things hitting the select button fast enough is always a challenge for me. Nonetheless I scraped by with a little health left. This is the only metroid game I for some reason have never gone back and finished so thanks for your video it’s making getting back to where I used to be much easier.
Yeah this guy's a beast. It's pretty funny to see how he pulls off some of the stuff he does. Lol, I'm following his path but at a much slower pace. Should be interesting to see what my end game time becomes. My first playthrough without any help was about 16 hours.
1:39:40 I’d recommend using the morph ball and holding jump to get yourself into proper possession in the middle of the two crumbling platforms. Then just as in the video using a super bomb and holding jump again to get over to each side.
1:18:23 I'll never forget this theme and the remix in Metriod: Samus Returns 1:19:34 there is an easier method fire at the Golden Torizo with the Plazma Beam then stand at its legs and fire straight up

My favorite parts of this game are the sequence breaks. The patch they released for Metroid dread sucked because they killed some of the best sequence breaks
Nice game, but too much back tracking and too many secret rooms. It's like the first 2 Metroid games with nicer graphics.(Boss fights are way better though) I think Metroid Fusion and the games after that offers more in terms of story and gameplay
It's a timing thing and you have to be in spin jump mode. You jump into the wall then press away from the wall and press jump again. The hardest part is staying in spin jump between the walls. I never got good with the bomb jumps
@delmarcorrea1075 to be fair even on a super nintendo it's kind of a bitch to get down. Probably still easier on the original gear though, it's just the timing really
I got 98% and my ending was a tad different. She didn't get out of her suit she lifted her helmet up and winked and gave a thumbs up then blasted off. Still epic ending
@@Agentunderfire You don't need to wall jump to get on that platform. Wall jump is not required to beat the game, it's just an ability that let's you traverse faster and do some sequence breaking. Also there is an area in the game where the animals teach you how to do it. Inform yourself before you speak.
@@Agentunderfire Controls are a bit clunky and it has it's flaws. I don't think it's the best 2d Metroid game but it's a good game for it's time. My real problem of this game is the level design. Some places are real fun,but some places are so frustrating, especially places where it requires you to jump a lot. Also backtracking is a bit too much, it tires you out taking away your desire to play the game and there are so many secrets that is also impossible to find without a walkthrough
I lost my 100% save I had as a kid due to a SNES error with the cartridge reader and the power. I said, what the hell, let's 100% it again with this. 02h 43m later, I finally saw the best ending on real hardware pulled off by me. Thanks, bud! This game is a masterpiece...

Ikr after hours of practicing I finally got it, the muscle memory becomes super useful
As SOON as you hit the wall before falling, just press the jump button again now going in the other direction, then back to the wall

I had no idea as a kid you could do that it would have made the game so much better if I knew how to do it
It took me for ever to learn as a kid and I had to relearn as an adult but when you figure it out it's soooo easy to do
