Still the most memorable game from the SNES; and also probably the most technically and aesthetically impressive. While I enjoyed the first Metroid Prime game immensely, why the hell can't they realize that all we want is "another Super Metroid"? Developers act like hand-drawn sprites and 2D platforming is a sin or something.
That wall jump... How would you know the game had this mechanic? In every game you can jump, walk right, left ... it got me stuck in many parts of the game.
This is one of my all time favorite SNES games to play and I still play it since I got the classic SNES edition so I can relive my childhood by playing Super Metroid as this game was really awesome.
That Lower Norfair music still gives me goosebumps. I don't know if it gets louder the closer you get to Ridley, but man does it sure does feel like it.
And (almost) 30 years later, this still does not feel dated, in image, sound or mechanics. What a timeless masterpiece!
The Metroid series sure is underrated. I wish it was just as popular as Mario and Zelda.
The atmosphere in this game is simply extraordinary.

Super Metroid was one of the best games ever
Let’s go Brandon
Best game ever made.
I cannot for the life of me get through this game in 3 hours.
Bring me back to winter 1996.

One of my favorite games of all time and on the SNES. This game is the reason that I became a Metroid fan.
I stayed alive long enough to get to play Metroid dread. Thank everything that is holy
I love the way you play this game with hella precision. Great longplay

Great music in this game.
Still have this game boxed and in mint condition, of course I only played it enough times to beat it and that was it.
Arguably the GOAT. I come back every so often and let it play in the background. Good memories.
The room after Ridley with the broken container = Better storytelling than Metroid: Other M in its entirety
