Maybe your best instructional video ever. Comprehensive yet easy to follow. Thanks!
Thats good to know, your feedback really helps. Thank you.
What a fantastic tutorial with some really great advice, delivered in easy to understand commentary! I appreciated the note about making a tonal sketch, something I rarely do and definitely should do more often! I also loved your tips about composition and the value of having different edges within the composition.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching and your feedback 😀
I have been thinking for a few days that I was having serious issues with simplification. And along comes this video-mind reader. Thanks so much
Yes. Simplify the scene, and you will see the benefits!
Thanks Rob for this great demonstration, I learnt so much from watching it and having you explain things so well. Truly helpful.
Thanks, your comment and support is very much appreciated. Rob
I have not done a painting since before Christmas, but now I've discovered your channel I will be adding ideas when I get started again. Many Thanks!😌

Great. Thanks for the feedback.
First video I've watched that's helped me understand the real benefit of a thumbnail. Great vids, keep them coming please.
Can I just ask what your colours are please? I've been reducing the amount in my pallete and I think we should a similar enough selection.

YOU ARE VERY WELCOME - YOU MADE A GREAT PAINTING AND A GOOD VIDEO - I ENJOYED IT ALL, THANKS, AND LORD BLESS!!!!!!!
I’m new to watercolour and been doing small formats, what you call thumbnail. Now I have to jump into the bigger format. I’m using too many colours and not enough water.
Thanks for the tips. ❤
Glad it was helpful! Good luck 👍
So helpful! Thank you.
You're welcome!
@@RobertMeeArtist watching a few in a row haha! I love this style but every single one I've tried has ended in the bin. I think I was attempting things above my skill level. I love that you've simplified this for us and your finished works look amazing.
Really very well demonstrated, I should start doing thumbnails, great to watch and many thanks.
It's definitely worth the effort. Thanks for watching.
Thankyou so much! I’ve been searching for landscape photos with shadows , leading lines and all that ! They don’t exist. 🤣
You’re welcome 😊
I’ve been reading about Counterchange in a Ron Ranson book. It seems that you would have to invent this effect in a scene, since it might be hard find in reference photos.
Quite often as artists we must move things and edit the scene in front of us.
What kind of brush are you using ?
I mainly use the Escoda Perla size 14 and Escoda Ultima size 14. Thanks for watching.
@@RobertMeeArtist thanks. how generous all the painting/teaching videos on your channel. thank you ! its like magic the ease with which you paint
