  • Rather than paint the whole street, I decided to concentrate on just one house, and the shadow of the tree on the side of the house added the magic.

Great explanation during the process of paint on paper. Nicely done.

This would look really cool as a line & wash too. Love the purple shadows. A few paint strokes tells the whole picture. Thank you so much for sharing.

Love the loose way you painted the balcony…..I always put in such rigid and regular perpendicular bars ..I’m going to try your method!

Also I really liked Venice made Easy…but it seems to be gone from your videos

Simply beautiful. ❤ I wish I could paint with such confidence and looseness. My paintings turn out so rigid. Looking forward to your next live demo.

Around 7:30 you said it would make sense later. Oh, no, it made brilliant sense to me from the first. I'm just too terrified to do it!!!! :)) Thanks, haven't seen you before. I subscribed.

I would have been tempted to use a flat brush to paint the windows, I can see using a round gives a much looser effect.

Yes that would work, but I would still want to make them all look slightly different. Thanks for watching 😀

Is suggesting more difficult than painting a drawing?

I guess knowing what to include and what to leave out can be tricky...with practice it becomes easier.
