I love watching you paint. You do it intuitively and I can relate to that. I'm inspired.

Hi Robert Karel here from America. I love watching how easy an abstract you do rocks. I'm going to try some now. Also loved the shadows. I tend to do them to thick or close together with not enough light in between.

Love this video! I noticed that you don’t wet the paper with a large brush at the start. Or did I just miss that? Do you prefer using the spray to have better control of the wetness?

I start with dry paper most of the time. I do use a spray bottle to keep areas moist as and when I need to.

Colours are lovely & the sea really sparkles--great painting. Is there a reason why you don't add splatter to your paintings e.g. the sand & tree areas? Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, I prefer to use dry brush method, perhaps a little more control. Maybe I will try a bit of splatter! 😀

Since I just found your channel, I just want to say, I really like the loose style of painting.
The figures would freak me out, I think. 1. Because of getting the shape wrong. 2. Getting proportions completely off, and 3. Having it look like a pile of scat rather than a person.
Granted, practicing is key, but after doing a scene and trying to add that and failing would piss me off.

Done it many times...yep it's annoying! Worth practicing them on scrap paper many times.

@@RobertMeeArtist yes, you're right. My impatience is what causes a lot of my failed outcomes, I'm afraid.
