    Well done. Worth a second viewing. Maybe a third. Thank you for saying that watercolor is hard. It is but well worth the couple years it takes to learn to paint as naturally as you do. Your lessons are definitely helping me get over the hump and enjoy the process more.

    why doesn't the yellow ochre and blue from the first wash blend into a green?

      As long as you don't mess with it to much it will be fine. Perhaps the Yellow Ochre is closer to blue on the colour wheel opposed to say cad Yellow.
