    You make a lot of valid points but I love it for retro gaming. Very powerful and excels greater than an Odin, retroid and anbernic. I have an rg405m and I love it but the razer is able to play my game cube games, PS2 games, Wii games and even some ps vita games. Psp plays flawless with max settings and 8x resolution. Not a bad device at all. Also this device is good for people on the Apple eco system. People keep saying that if you have a phone, you can do the same thing. Wrong. I have an iPhone and can't do any of what the razer does. Not to mention that if you want to use an android for for gaming, you have to shell out the same if not much more for an android phone or tablet. Honestly I bought my used for $230 and it's the 5g version. I love it!

      Used, refurbished or Open-Box is the wayyy. But even at $400 full MSRP, you're getting a lot. The controller alone is about $100 still new so if you snag this for $200-250 w the Kishi, that's a nice little luxury tech find. Happy retro gaming my friend, time to work on my Shoryukens in SF (that dpad is legit, I just need to get gud 😄)

    I feel like this is really niche because anyone with a phone and a Bluetooth Xbox controller can achieve the same thing for much cheaper unless you don’t have a decent enough phone

      Not to mention the amount of gaming dedicated phones and some gaming dedicated tablet.
      For me this kinda flop😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

      Plus you can purchase the controller separately from the edge - FOR YOUR PHONE

    there is one problem i have when people bring up :Why not use your phone?
    And that is that my phone is used for others things too... It is annoying constantly getting email notifications and text messages popping up when I am mid game on my phone and games will drain your phone battery... which isnt good when you still need the phone to be a phone. Also Android games are becoming massive. Genshin is nearly 30 gb by itself. So being able to offload the gaming to a different device is actually pretty appealing to people who like android games

      Exactly I have a small phone so I don't have a bulky front pocket.. got tired of using Samsung notes my whole life so now I have a flip for when I go out and this tablet at home or on long trips.

    • @zerocal76
      @zerocal76 3 месяца назад

      @@gamereactz I think I'm about to do the same. I used a Note for many years, currently have a Z Fold4 and its heavy and bulky. Really don't want to "upgrade" to the Fold6 just to save a few grams and a tiny bit of thickness. I def can't do a flip phone but will be lookin. PS - Razer Edge is awesome. Love Razer's premium build quality 😎

      With the price drop it’s a good bargain but with the original price it was overpriced being limited to mobile gaming or needing a actual console to stream from

    Maybe.. this thing is good when you wanna play PS2 emulation (or any other console below it) on-the-go, but don't wanna bother your own phones' battery life..? Idk.

    The large radius corners of the screen kill it for me. Why the hell are they trying their best to make a circular display when everything works on an x-y plane anyway?

    I dont currently own one but to stream geforce now or my xbox remotely at more than 60 fps on a beatiful big screen and can play without being interupted by work or family texts on same device is appealing. And it could be my tablet as well. I love my current tablet but my v2 kishi does not fit that. Nor does any reputable controller.

    • @NecroAsphyxia
      @NecroAsphyxia Год назад

      yeah, one of the issues many of these reviewers seem to be missing is that your phone is still a phone. And it is annoying af when you are trying to play a game and you keep getitng email notifications, text notifications, call notifications etc. And on top of all that, games murder your phone battery, which is not good when you still need the phone for its utility as a phone..

    The “who’s is this for?” Was so tired, it’s clearly for emulation and cloud gaming. I don’t think it was ever advertised as being a steam deck

    • @NecroAsphyxia

      also for people who like mobile games but dont want to murder their device storage and battry life. The issue with this "oh well just use your phone" line is that your phone has a bunch of other jobs already. I dont want to kill my phone battery playing Genshin Impact since i still need the phone to be a phone first.

    Great video! I might be in the niche here, but we’ll see in a few days when the device arrives 😂. My phone is a mini by choice, and I have tried emulation devices with game streaming, a hacked switch, Vita, and more. None feel good, and the switch is closest but only goes to 10 mbps stream at 720p and the analogue sticks are garbage and triggers are just triggers with no analogue. I’m hoping to be able to home stream pc library at 1080p and at least 120fps with a beautiful god size screen on this device. Fingers crossed 🤞

    Edge isnt worth it really but the Kishi controllers are very worth it. Paired with any 23 model flagship phone is going to outperform or closely match the Edges performance. You can get a Kishi v2 refurbished for 50 dollars and you basically have an Edge after you install Nexus app.

    Well the Nintendo Switch is like 7 years old and still works and plays games. Is it even possible to play games on a 7 year old version on Android?
