- Today we are playing MMORPG Tycoon 2 and we will be making an mmo that is pay to win and guess what it is broken! We will be charging people £1500 to just buy the game. Everything will have micro transactions in this insane tycoon game! Our game will naturally make us millions. For this we will be creating a nightmare hardcore MMO game that requires you to become a millionaire to play. so using this mmo tycoon we will make the best mmorpg that is the greatest scam MMO game or scam game in the world which has no gameplay! Move over star citizen a new kickstarter scam game has arrived!
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. Funnily enough, as big of a "scam" as this game seems to be, this is actually a very niche MMORPG genre called Social mmo! One such mmo currently being developed is Palia, focusing on the social and non-combat elements of mmo's

Honestly sound boring, admittedly I find basically all in on those boring as Sin though. I don't like the way that all of these current-gen mmoser just farmfest World of Warcraft ruined it. I miss old school EverQuest and Dungeons and Dragons online

I would love if there was a single level 2 character here, and it's a virtual Spiff using integer overflow or some other exploit that Spiff overlooked.
A gamedev should definitely do this; have the game detect if it's being recorded therefore it must be a yt'er and mess with the player in subtle ways.
this dude is a genius at marketing. He manages to make a game seem even more attractive by using it in such unique ways that encourage other people to get the game and try it. He adds features by finding faults in how the game is balanced, while making the audience think it's bad, but it's all used by the devs to make the game seem more interesting.

There's a game like that called Ampu Tea, where you make tea with a robot arm.
Then get frustrated and flip the table, because the robot arm keeps ruining the tea.

Kind of yeah. No gameplay. You can look at stuff. You can enter stores to buy stuff for real money.
Only difference is I think metaverse doesn't have any quests at all and therefore has less content

@@Sumirevins well items in the game are entities that can be interacted with so that would tank your fps if you place many and rack up quite the space as far as i know

He understands game design and the shortcuts developers take, as well as having a very good understanding of real-world economics, so its not surprising at all, really.

This is the most increadible rpg I have ever played. Nonstop lore and endless wordbuilding. Ever since I grabbed Roxanne’s size 11 shoes I knew she was my npc waifu. Never had so many creative quests to complete each contributing to the lore on the smallest details. 10/10
The way you described your quests it doesn’t surprise me they were award winning. Sounds exactly like wow, and that game did pretty well.

This game kinda reminds me of an existing game I have. I forgot the name, but basically you’re a painter and you board on an island and befriend the people and take painting commissions. All you do is explore the island which is pretty, interact with the NPC’s (if I’m not forgetting you can make a kid jump off a roof) and paint. 😂

@@KingofWolves3277 Josh is a brute force exploiter, Spiff is more about picking apart the mechanics and finding interactions the developer didn't expect. Josh's are always going to be bigger breaks (Coffee Stain literally uses his Satisfactory save as a benchmark for optimizing lmao), but Spiff's are often more impressive.
Great to see one of the first players, Naxon, shift their life path to become an influencer just to promote the game.
Spiff doesn't realise he's just recreated Club Penguin. People are absolutely willing to play a game just to run around doing mundane things chatting with their friends

You should have ended it by activating full PvP. Since it's the only other thing to do, and everyone is the same level, it would have turned into an immediate bloodbath.

What's the difference, in a world where all you have to do is walk and never be in any danger?
@@insaincaldo With fetch quests, you can run to the different points as fast as you like without interruption. With escort quests, the NPC walking with you is slower than a disabled snail and will stop following you if you walk too far away from him.
@@doomyboi Do you seriously think running is even a feature, that would be convenient. On the other hand, there is no way any of the NPC's in this game got the privilege of any animations, or pathfinding.

@@elijahwallace5300 Mostly extra building props, it's not much. But we got a nice little communnity going on with some absolutely great creative people.
That being said, the update that adds customizable dungeons should be coming this year and that'll be a pretty big one.
It's not the most exciting game and it will never be, but it's a unique one and it's a very neat sandbox

I could actually see this working in real life. Honestly some people get tired of the constant conflict of lots of games. Maybe just hanging with your friends and everybody having their own unique style would be something they'd like.

I was half-expecting another vapid "make a game" simulator, but this is actually kind of fascinating. I enjoy theme park games, and this is an interesting take on that formula. You know what, I spent all these years hoping Frontier would release a new and improved Planet Coaster ... but forget that for now, I want them to make a game like this instead! 🥺🙏

This reminds me of those hardcore roleplaying persistent world servers for good old Neverwinter Nights. No one could actually go out adventuring because starting gear had massive penalties, and for gear with no (or at least lower) penalties, you needed astronomical amounts of gold. So everything everyone did was just stay in the starting towns and spin tales about the grand feats of their ancestors. Because *THAT* is "true roleplaying", and not doing quests and exploring the world according to the people who ran these worlds.
