@@zelkovalru The demo gives a taste of building with a little bit of workbench management, with 3 character classes to choose from. And you can replay to choose different quests to build different areas. The final game will have more character classes available (the ones greyed out in the menu) and also an open sandbox called Creative Mode. Hope this helps!
Reminds me a bit of MMORPG tycoon 2 from a few years back. Used to watch your play through when I was 12 after getting home from school, now I’m 17 and in the army. How time flies brother!
@@TheGeekCupboard He made the Ultima series of games. Lord British is his in game persona and is almost always invincible. In Ultima Online he was supposed to be invincible but players managed to kill him anyway.
@@TheGeekCupboard Richard Garriott is one of the early computer game devs. He's best known for the Ultima series, which were open world style roleplaying games and also had one of the first MMOs. A whole ton of modern game design choices and terminology, especially where RPGs are concerned, come from him, studios he was part of, and his games.
The bit with the Lord Richard character repeatedly referring to not letting people kill him/making his character be invincible comes from an Ultima Online incident where while logged in for an event during the beta testing period, Garriott's Lord British character was accidentally set to *not* be invincible. Someone managed to kill the character and started complete chaos, since the devs responded by... summoning demons to massacre all the player characters present. So that whole end bit was a very big reference!

I will neither confirm nor deny a certain Lord who may be English or *British* was actually like that back in the day. 🤣Oh Lord I was in tears at the end! *Please* play this when the full release comes out! Dave played this but he umm *diplomatic* didn't do it as well. Perhaps you can give him some tips?
A cozy MMO sounds like.... a lot of fun, actually. :D Oh! this is the same mob that made Let's Build a Zoo and Let's school. Cute wee games. This one, though.... it seems a bit ridiculous to be opening any MMO to players before the scenery and quests are down. That was pretty funny though.
I think music has it's place in games. Like in Deus Ex, I can't imagine that game without the music, it would be a lesser experience. But yes, I can see that in other games the music could be an annoyance!
I turn off music when it's repetitive, usually in games like House Flipper. But as a general rule I love game music--tends to be my "album of choice" if writing, too. Sometimes the music is better than the game--I bought AC1/2 and Deus Ex entirely off the back of its music. I also switch it off in MMOs (ESO or GW2, presently) if I'm grinding and listening to youtube as a podcast, but the Elder Scrolls music is quite good so I enjoy it. Each to their own, eh. :D
Thanks for checking out our demo - was so fun watching you play through!
Thanks for making the Ultima..I mean Ultimate demo for us to play! Silly typo me again! 😁
I see on the steam page there is no release date as of yet, how far does the demo take you?
@@joshuacr Ahaha! 🤐

Looks like fun! Pretty sure ‘Lord Richard’ was the player attacking everyone else- no wonder he was killed first!

That one's _still_ in EA. Starting to think they'll never finish it, but at least it's not abandoned.
Oh wow, that is quite the change! 12 to 17. I hope the army life is treating you well!
Oh it reminds me of an Online game that was the Ultima...I mean the Ultimate MMO! Silly Typo me 😁
Lord Richard seemed very British to me. He must be the Ultimate player, or at least something like that.
His reaction seemed a little petty to me though. I wonder why, maybe he was caught in the rain that day?
Ask Shamino and Iolo, maybe Mariah knows?
Seems legit to me. Maybe 10% more Monty Python quotes, and a lunchtime pub with pool table.
That Richard Garriot joke :D
A few people have said that name. Who is Richard Garriot?!

When this game comes out I expect Penge to get too carried away with the plants that his whole game map is nothing but a huge garden.
"too carried away". Is there such a thing? ;)

Check out Palia, pretty cozy MMO
That was amazing madness. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that game. I really liked playing. Let's build a zoo.
😂🤪👍
Very fun!
oh yay!! ive been excited for this one :D
This looks very similar to “let’s build a zoo”
It's by the same developers!

That is totally about Richard Garriott!
I don’t know if I missed it, but what are the yellow things around the city center?
spawn points
@ thanks homie.

This looks like fun but I disagree with the music in game issue. I hate music in games and always turn it off.

I really hope that they replace the AI imaged with custom art for the release. These just look ugly and it's unethical in general.
